Avatar n tn Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?
3136355 tn?1343287969 I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.
Avatar n tn I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.
Avatar f tn I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.
Avatar m tn As I was playing the centre in the game, my butt had a lot of touch with the competitors in the basketball game. My worry is like this: if someone is HIV infected among my competitors, and my butt touched his bleeding body(my hemorrhoids touched his bleeding body), will I get HIV through this way? Please help me, I am extremly worried.
Avatar f tn CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers. He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.
486822 tn?1208800499 Has anyone here hadan RAI for hyperthy? Can you tell me a little bit about what to expect. I'm very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well.
1090984 tn?1463769850 I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108. What concerns me is my diastolic stays high, in the morning my bp can go down to 120/90, the disatolic remains high. or I get readings of 150/99 to 117/91.
Avatar n tn I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.
Avatar f tn More info on your problem will bring more informed responses. No drug works all the time, there are competitors, but it only works if your problem is the one it deals with. If you have a different problem, you need a different treatment.
Avatar n tn However, there are no guarantees and I am guessing that some have a good amount of weight loss where others may only lose a few pounds. It also seems to be more user friendly than some of the competitors that have weight gain as a common problem. Hope this helps...
Avatar m tn Oh boy we are blocking the competitors web site again. the website is e-m-e-d-i-c-i-n-e ******* (without the dashes). That should do er.
Avatar m tn but we may concentrate on competitors like rep9 ac and myrcludex, once gilead is put out of market by competitors they will act immediately anywya i think myrcludex can be the answer to all of this: their 6months triial of myrcludex+standard care vs standard care only has started already so we will have data and results by 6 months only myrcludex is also the first cure for hdv which has no other drugs so i think approval and marketing will be ultra fast in europe/russia
9315811 tn?1403207510 FYI - flyingfool is not a lady... Most of the websites, especially, any with forums, are competitors of MedHelp and can't be posted here. Just do a search for hypothyroidism and/or Hashimoto's you'll come up with tons of information.
Avatar f tn Please post your FT3, FT4 and TSH results with reference ranges. Your symptoms could be related to your FT3 and FT4 levels more than to generic vs. brand name. My endo also thinks that brand name drugs are more consistent. I go along with him since it's a small point to concede. I've been on generic, Synthroid and Levoxyl at one time or another, and, quite frankly, I see no difference whatsoever. Different brands have different fillers, and sometimes these cause problems.
Avatar n tn First question would be, what do the adult members of your family look like? That will establish your genetic predisposition. As for exercises, you can either tone your thighs, which might not make them any smaller but will make them more muscular, which would involve resistance exercises. To just get smaller, aerobics would be your best bet. But how's your diet?
Avatar f tn t need to bring the ad...at least anytime I do a price match at walmart, i just tell them the competitors price and they give it to me for that cost. With this, you might need an ad.
Avatar m tn Vertex's relationship with industry mega-giant Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is further cause for pessimism when comparing Vertex to its primary competitors. In fact, Johnson & Johnson markets Incivek overseas by the name Incivo, and it is not unheard of for cozy relationships to develop among biotechnology players. From my perspective, Vertex appears ripe for a takeover by Johnson & Johnson, but in all fairness, the two companies have not discussed this possibility publicly.
Avatar m tn He just started on a very low dose blood pressure med withen the last three months azor and doing good on that but the doctor said that because of the cyst they may had been the cause of the rise in blood pressure. Is all this info a cause to be alarmed. I read there is no cure for polycystic kidney disease only dialysis and transplant but that is still no gaurantee that the cyst wont return. I am afraid for him and not sleeping it is about 3:50 a.m now and my mind just racing.
Avatar m tn I also have chronic high blood pressure, which is controlled with Azor, so I try to avoid Benadryl and Claritin, in favor of other medications which are more friendly to hbp sufferers. I still wonder if it could be a yeast infection, as the rash came on a day after a long flight where I was forced to sit with my arms crossed, as the person sitting next to me was very obese and pushed well into my personal space.
931952 tn?1244505254 Is my son gross which I don;t beleive or was it more playing and comic curiosity?
Avatar n tn There is a test you can do to judge whether Prilosec is affecting your bowels. There are about 4 or 5 competitors to Prilosec. Examples are Zantac, Prevacid, 15-mg; Pepcid 20-mg. You can try one of these substitutes and determine whether one or two tablets takes care of your acid problem. All of these medications were one time prescription medicines, so the OTC strength may not be as strong as Prilosec. I keep both of the substitutes handy in case of an emergency.
Avatar m tn I have not seen a medication yet that didn't have a warning about "if you have liver disease consult your doctor" . Advair has a small amount of steroid in it so it could be detrimental to someone with HCV/ liver disease. I remember some theories that steroids could "wake up" the HCV. People had HCV lay dormant for 20-30 years then after a bout of steroids for something not related to HCV they started to have the HCV symptoms shortly thereafter.
Avatar f tn The culture of micro-organisms keep each other in check, if something like tapwater, vinegar or whatever kills off one or more sets, the remaining sets have a free hand and given the absence of competitors may grow out of control.
Avatar n tn but will my doctor findout I filled both scripts?
