azor and heart rate

Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?

I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.

CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers.He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.

m very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well. I really need all the answers I can get. Thank you!

I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.

I have a strong family history of heart diease and hypertension. I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108.

I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.

Getting out of breath with every day actiivities and a faster than normal heart rate can be a serious condition. It is possible your condtion is not heart related or concomitant with a respiratory issue and/or low oxygen level in the oxygenated blood pumped to heart cells...medically termed hypoxia. Other possibilities for tachycardia can be due to an overactive thyroid, imbalance of electrolytes, adverse reaction to medication. You are being treated for high blood pressure...

I think you already gave yourself your own answer........no food, caffeine, stress and a dentist appt.? Ouch!!! Keep an eye on it and my heart doc always says if you can feel your heart listen to it and if you need to make the call. Atypically we shouldn't ever feel our hearts unless we stress them thru exercise or the post you made above....you sound like a normal human to me and a lucky lucky person but......

I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.

and after evaluating my blood work - which actually came out fine except for a borderline cholesterol 200 and checking me and my BP (which is still high 160/100) he told me that due to having Hypertension since a long time ago - more than 15 years now , i have a somehow a big heart and being so uncontrolled is the main cause of the tachycardia and i cant exactly remember if he said its atrial or venticular tachycardia and he gave me logimax and cordarone 2 pills each everyday , he didnt tell

I still feel nervous and my heart rate gets high and I take beta blockers twice or three times a day. I have not taken my 112 mcg of synthroid since last Saturday.

The next work out was very light cardio and strenght training. My heart rate went up to 190 and stayed weel above my target heart rate the entire workout. Even when I was on the floor it stayed elevated! THe ekg and heart monitor showed nothing out of the ordinary. I really like to work out but it makes me feel terrible while I am trying to do it. t feel dizzy and the heart rate increases properly with exercise, it can be a sign that your heart just pumps extremely efficient. However, your resting heart rate is lower than most top athletes, and you should get it checked. Go to a doctor and get an EKG done.

I decided the pain in my arm was too much and took tums, hoping it was heart burn. It went away, and my heart rate went down. I've taken 3 doses of tums and my rate has stayed down and my pain is gone. I decided to try skipping a dose today thinking the problem would have subsided by now. There is a huge misconception about the heart rate. Your maximum is just the highest rate your heart is WILLING to go. You will in fact reach oxygen debt faster than your actual max heart rate. The figures varies widely among individuals and also depends on the type of exercise. I have seen values of up to 240 on cyclists.

i was jus wondering mr dr just put me on zoloft 50 mg yesterday and i took it after 12 o clock and night that same day and today i feel weird is it jus because im paranoid and worring too much or it jus take time for me to get use to the medication? im 27 years old but i have high blood pressure too its genetics it runs in my family im also on high blood pressure meds too they jus switched me from 150 mg to 240mg i jus wanna kno how long it takes for the drugs to actually work?
