just to give you detailed info on the whooshing sound, it is just like swimmers ear sound except that its not due to swimming or its not water related...so, is this tinnitus or some other temporary ear sound? also, is this caused by antibiotics? i m right now taking penicillin-like antibiotic for 10 days... on my 7th day today....what should i do? what do u think?
Adverse events reported with azithromycin during the post-marketing period in adult and/or pediatric patients for which a causal relationship may not be established include:
Allergic: Arthralgia, edema, urticaria, difficulty breathing, and angioedema.
Cardiovascular: Arrhythmias including ventricular tachycardia and hypotension. There have been rare reports of QT prolongation and torsades de pointes.
I just received my chlamydia treatment in the form of 4 tablets to be taken in one dose of Azithromycin. I starting menstruating today and I didnt know if there would be any reason this would affect the effectiveness of the drug. Also my partner was just treated yesterday...How long before we can resume having sex?
After taking Azithromycin and getting a shot in my butt and waiting 7-8 days is it safe for me to receive oral sex from a female even if my symptoms cleared up the next day I took them and after being treated and given a shot and if I got treated within 5 days in noticing something is my chance of getting rid of a STD higher since I reacted on it faster and after waiting 7-8 days after taking azithromycin and getting a shot can not use a condom and still be safe even when the symptoms cleared up
I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day. It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.

The only way to be sure of this is to stop taking it for a time and see if tinnitus goes away. So far, I have not taken any for 11 nights and tinnitus is still the same. - A pretty much constant low-pitched noise.

I am a veteran and I have lived with it for a few years now. I think there are special devices that will stoo the tinnitus. I dont have one because basically all it does it cover up the ringing sound with another sound. Is this just a pregnancy symptom? It may go away.
I've had tinnitus now for 6 months. It all started when I did a few lines of cocaine in November of 2007. Shortly after I developed serious sinus problems where I had major swelling on the inside of my nose along with pain on the bridge. And then........I woke up with ringing in my ears 1 1/2 weeks later. The ringing got louder as the sinus problems continued. Short of 3 sinus infections to date I really don't have too much to complain about with my sinuses.

in my third week of treatment when my tinnitus became almost unbearable and a fullness in my ears. I went to Urgent care and no ear infection. My doc stopped my pegasys this week and may stop treatment completely. I think it is because I have chronic sinusitis anyway. I didn't take my pegasys and my ear is not better. Any help would be appreciated

I have had tinnitus for over a year now. I celebrated my anniversary with tinnitus in october 2008. I am only 22 years old. It started when I was at work. I was a visiting aid until last friday but when It started I had a 103 year old patient who was dieing. I was so stressed out and knew that I may go to her room and she may be gone. I then heard a pitch noise in my ear, and there was tinnitus.
