I and my husband received IV continous infusion Clindamycin treatment times 7 days and the followup testing showed we were both positive with clamydia. I still have pain in my right kidney that I usually have with chronic UTI. I am taking Cipro now for E. facelis but infection will not go away. It is too the point I don't want to have intercourse with my husband. Also did two months of oral macrobid and clarithomycin both I and my husband. Don't know what to do please advise.
I went to the doctor and he said it might be an infection of my urnairy tract system he prescribed me azithromycin 6 day medication. I think my anxiety is making it worst or overthinking. Does anyone feel the same?
These may be associated with your intermittent burning and may go along with a kidney stone. Often the burning associated with a kidney stone will continue for a few momments after you cease urinating. Also, is your discomfort related to any spices or medications? Sexual activity (including masturbation)? These are mechanical/chemical issues and can obviously easily be corrected.
You need to be seen by a specialist (urologist) if the problem is not resolving.

So I recently tested positive for Gonorrhea and was treated with Azithromycin (1gram), and Rochephin (dose I couldnt see). The morning after I woke up to severe flu-like symptoms and a fever of 103. Other symptoms were severe headache, malaise, GI pain but most importantly lower back pain on both sides near my kidneys. This pain was so severe I was unable to sleep on my back.
During this time I have tried taking numerous, heavy doses of various antibiotics, such as Azithromycin / Clarithromycin, Cipro and Amoxicillin. The Azithromycin seemed to have a strong impact, significantly lessening the symptoms, to the point that I almost felt normal. However, these symptoms quickly returned once my prescription ran out.

I recently developed a white discharge from my penis. I went to a GUM clinic where an infection was found to be present, and so I was tested for gonorrhoea, chlamydia, HIV and syphilis; I do not think I was tested for trichomoniasis. Anyway, the tests came back negative.
Pending the results, the doctor had given me 7 days 2x100mg doxycycline which resolved symptoms quickly and I thought the infection was cleared. However, 5 days after the course was over, the white discharge returned.
Went to the gyno who only tested me on chlamydia and bv, gave me 6 days of azithromycin, 5 days ciprofloxacin and flagyl ovules. After that I felt fine , though the chlamydia was negative. I occasionally had yellow discharge and one arthritis. One week after the arthritis I also experienced the same vaginal discomfort with burning pee this time.(we only had protected sex). I was given the same treatment, didn't improve, got more flagyl got even worse.
s and different labs, but the highest was 155/75, lowest was 130/70 and usually its 135-140/70. liver function normal. Slight high LDL-chol (108). kidney in normal range but eGFR slight low (89). thyroid normal. urinalysis normal except high ketones. no blood, no WBC. fasting blood glucose 96.
5. ultrasound whole abdomen and chest xray. chest xray normal. ultrasound found scar on right kidney 1.5cmx1.5cm upper cortex.

I just received my chlamydia treatment in the form of 4 tablets to be taken in one dose of Azithromycin. I starting menstruating today and I didnt know if there would be any reason this would affect the effectiveness of the drug. Also my partner was just treated yesterday...How long before we can resume having sex?
After taking Azithromycin and getting a shot in my butt and waiting 7-8 days is it safe for me to receive oral sex from a female even if my symptoms cleared up the next day I took them and after being treated and given a shot and if I got treated within 5 days in noticing something is my chance of getting rid of a STD higher since I reacted on it faster and after waiting 7-8 days after taking azithromycin and getting a shot can not use a condom and still be safe even when the symptoms cleared up
I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day. It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.
The doctor took a sample of my urethra using a swab and gave me azithromycin to kill any bacterial infection. I also received a shot in my butt. The tests came back negative for UTI, Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea.
I went to the hospital on Thursday (2 days ago) and I'm still in so much pain and it doesn't seem to be decreasing. Is this normal? How long does azithromycin usually take to stop the urination pain?
during those early symptoms of tingling, burning during urination and frequent urination, i was given antibiotics that was suppose to cure whatever it was causing it. well it didnt, and i suffered a lot from it. the antibiotics i took were azithromycin, oflox, cipro, and last doxy. all of them for 1 weeks 2 a days except for the azithromycin which was taken only once of 1g i believe.
i wanted treatment for clamydia just in case and he gave me a single dose of azithromycin. Starting yesterday I get a constant aching in my testicles. They do not appear swollen and they dobt hurt to touch at all. Also I get (once or twice a day) a stinging in the urithra. It is never during urination, ejaculation and the has never been and discharge whatsoever. I have had this feeling before the encounter but it seems more prevelent as each say goes by.
He prescribed Azithromycin (single dose) 1000mg. The pain went away but after 3-4 days the burning resurfaced and I visited an STD clinic at the two week mark after the encounter. They took a swab and told me I didn't have an STD but probably a urinary tract infection.They prescribed methronidazole (2 tablets twice a day for a week). I also had my anus looked at by a butt doctor and they diagnosed a thrombosed hemroid (from sitting too long on the plane) and a rash (from spicy food).
t STD, so I am assuming test was negative.To ease my concerns, the doctor gave me single dose (8 pills) Azithromycin. Following that, I returned for analysis week later and urine revealed still some infection as well as blood in urine. Two week dosage of Cipro was given to me. Returned after the 2 weeks and the latest urine analysis showed no infection but still some blood in the urine. Doctor felt it could be a kidney cyst, kidney stones or prostatitis.
I also had the same problem at the begining of last summer. I was given 2 doses of 1000mg azithromycin and it went away in 2 days. Could it be that the std is ammuned to the azithromycin after i got rid of it the first time? Oh also i took azithromycin a week prior to seeing the Dr and getting tested..could this be the reason that no bacteria showed but there was still red and white blood cells in my urine? I am at a loss with this. Any advice will help greatly...
