m thinking about getting LRTI surgery, but it only lasts 15-20 years. I will be 70 then...what goes out in the LRTI surgery. Is it the anchovi? or is it the ligament that is threaded through the remaining thumb bone? is the graft better to get for the anchovi? and does it(the graft) last longer than the harvested ligament? too young to have arthritis.
I am 3 weeks post op having had LRTI surgery. Everything seems to be going well, except I have total numbness on one side of the incision which extends from the inside pad of my thumb all the way up the back of the thumb to the nail. Could the surgeon have severed a nerve?

I had LRTI surgery on my left thumb nearly 3 years ago and am fixin to have it on my right thumb in about a month. While it took a good 3 to 4 months recovery time and then still longer to slowly regain strength, it was the BEST thing I could have done. Being right handed, I realize this next surgery will be tougher in that it will be more difficult to do things while in a cast but it is definitely a means to an end - that end being free from the constant pain.
The hand specialist told me to look up the lrti surgery on the net as I was a canadate for the surgery. But he told me to wear a thumb splint first. And I was suffled out of the office. My question is why the thumb splint if I have bone on bone. To me it's just putting a bandage over it. Its located on my dominate hand so it's not solving the problem.

I still would have recommended against both azithromycin treatments, but that's water under the bridge so no point in worrying about it now.

After taking Azithromycin and getting a shot in my butt and waiting 7-8 days is it safe for me to receive oral sex from a female even if my symptoms cleared up the next day I took them and after being treated and given a shot and if I got treated within 5 days in noticing something is my chance of getting rid of a STD higher since I reacted on it faster and after waiting 7-8 days after taking azithromycin and getting a shot can not use a condom and still be safe even when the symptoms cleared up
I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. The stomach pain lasted the rest of the day. It's been about 3 days now since I have taken it, but I still have that "burning" sensation after I urinate.
I just received my chlamydia treatment in the form of 4 tablets to be taken in one dose of Azithromycin. I think we need some more information in order to give you any help. Did you injure it in any way? How long has it been painful? Is the pain getting worse or is it staying the same? Is the pain constant or intermittent? What type of pain is it ... burning, stabbing aching? Does it interfere with your normal activities?
I've had long-standing arthritis in a lot of my joints. My thumbs have been terribly afflicted. I've had joint replacement (which failed) in one of them.
I have severe pain in that joint and my doctor has suggested a ligament reconstruction with tendon interpostion of the 1st cmc joint surgery. I do have arthrisit in that area as well. I am left handed which also causes problems.
I am wondering if this may harm me more, or if this will limit my range of motion. I need to know what the recovery period my be. I truely just want the pain to "go away.

I was infected by Mycoplasma genitalium 2 weeks ago by a woman in China, Guangzhou. In panic i took first 200mg Levofloxacin x 3 days. Then Azithromycin 500mg x1day then 250mg for 5 days, and also 200mg Minocycline x5 days mixed with the Azi.
Im now on the day after my last medication day, and i still feel a small burning feeling in my right thigh, near the blatter. It is not a stinging burning pain. Just a small burning. Not really a pain.
m a man (sex was vaginal/oral) and I have most of the typical symptoms of chlamydia (pain in urethra, testicles), MINUS discharge and PLUS persistent pain in my lower pelvis, around my bladder (I think). I've read that true UTIs in young men are quite rare. So, two questions: 1) Is pelvic pain in men a normal symptom of chlamydia, or an indication that something else is going on? and 2) How long after taking azithromycin should I look for the symptoms to be clear?
I'm not sure I understand the sequence. "Urinalysis" doesn't usually mean a chlamydia test. Are you sure your urine was actually tested for chlamydia 6/29 and 7/12? The wording seems to suggest that the first follow-up test (6/29) was negative and the next (7/12) was positive. Is that right?
Straight after the next day my penis was feeling sore and tingling I panicked and bought 1500mg of azithromycin to hope it would cure. The tingling feeling feels just behind my penis head and does not burn when I pee. It has now been 4days since taking the azithromycin and the feeling is still there but comes and goes, normally worse the more I think about it. I have been given amoxcillin for 5days for bacteria infection im my chest. would this also help get rid of the feeling in my penis?
I have just finish the treatment for gonorrhea after finishing the prescribed 5 day dosage of azithromycin. After further reading on azithromycin in the internet, I stumbled upon some people saying including in this forums that taking azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis. I'm starting to get worried. I didn't notice any symptoms of syphilis on me at all. So is it possible that azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis?

I was prescribed 1g of azithromycin 3 weeka ago in the UK for chlamydia.
Unfortunately from a bad reaction I had to a medicine years ago, I have a phobia of tablets, so I crushed the azithromycin, mixed it with water, waited for it to dissolve (about 2 hours), and drank it (very foul bitter taste).
After 3 weeks, my chlamydia is back, exactly the same stomach cramps, and discharge (I'm female).
