Before I do however, I would like to counsel you that your decision to take cefixime and azithromycin and then ask questions is backwards. These antibiotics would be effective against nearly all bacterial STIs including gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU, and for syphilis prevention however they will also just confuse further assessment.

1. It is not clear from your post whether you gave or received oral sex.
I think that there are alot of options open to you besides birth contol pills or taking oral meds....like Brooke said almost all pills have such a risk of clots manifesting themselves especially if you have a family history of blood clots the % goes up for incidence. You may want to look at all other options out there for you besides taking "the pill" and i know there are many of them out there.
Breakthrough bleeding(bleeding while taking the active pills of combined oral contraceptives, or other hormonal contraceptives),spotting and changes in menstrual flow are common side effects after starting the oral contraceptives and they are frequent while taking the triphasic contraceptive(orthotricyclen). Breakthrough bleeding is most common when a woman first begins taking oral contraceptives, or changes from one particular oral contraceptive to another.
i have an irregular cycle of menstration. i have taken oral contraceptives for the first time last week, 2 days after i had an intercourse using withdrawal method. but it only lasted in only aminute i think then we immidiateley removed it. then i took oral contraceptives 2 days after. 4 pills in the morning and 4 more pils afte 10 hours. i read in some articles that 1 week after taken the oral contracepives, you are going to have a withdrawal bleeding.
acetaminophen for the pain is OK. hemangiomas are not caused by oral contraceptives nor are cysts. adenomas and FNH lesions in the liver are. If pain is due to the cyst or hemangioma then surgery is sometimes done. You should not have to wait months to see someone. What type of specialist are you to see/ Where do you live?
I am 43 years old, I used oral contraceptives for more than 7 years. Now, I have this yellowish fluid discharges in my left breast nipple for about 4 years now. If you have higher degree of damage, I would recommend avoiding all oral contraceptives. You are correct, they are hard on the liver and sometimes cause liver damage and elevated LFTs even in healthy women. Recommendation not to take them if you have liver disease is a very sensible one.
Try other methods of birth control that don't involve hormones. They do work and work well when used correctly.

m kinda worried cuz I later got to find out that antibiotics affect the rate of effectiveness of oral contraceptives. Though after using the oral contraceptive I haven't used the antibiotic now for bout 24hours. Can I continue with the antibiotics? Would the postinor have worked? I have read lots of your post concerning biaxin and azithromycin and whether they cure syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU. I have found that biaxin is chemically different than azithromycin but biologically same at killing bacteria as azithromycin. On some post you say that azithromycin or clarithromycin(biaxin) would cure all the bacterial stds then in others you state that there could be some problems.

This treatment is azithromycin (zpak total of 1500 mg over 5 days). Today, I am 1000 mg into the medication and I had a milky discharge during a bowel movement. I know, largely through this forum, that the real concerns are HSV, gonorrhea and NGU. I am worried about this encounter and therefor I am checking for symptoms constantly. I have a couple questions.
1. Is this milky discharge a sure symptom of gonorrhea or NGU? Could it be something else? I know that transmission is low for oral.
2.
My bet is that your penile pain had nothing to do with the oral sex event. Pain without discharge is not a common STD symptom in men; even when discharge and pain are present, the pain comonent typically is trivial, only a little minor discomfort on urination.
To your specific questions:
1) What STDs from oral sex? Chlamydia zero, HIV almost zero, syphilis extremely rare, HPV zero to low.
If you have the time I would be grateful if you let me know if you have been on oral contraceptives or Mirena coil, when you first started with them and are you still on them.
Being newly diagnosed I am very frustrated with the idea that the disease is so far incurable.

Thank you. Do you think the azithromycin will be an effective cure? Especially if I had no symptoms? After going to the clinic, I did more research and saw that azithromycin is usually provided in conjunction with another oral antibiotic if I can't get the injection...
t have gonorea because she saw no drip from my penis. I insisted something was not right and told her about my symptoms and incident. I have been in a monogamous relationship for 12 years. I took 2, 1000 mg pills immediately. The chancre seems to be fading, but Im still freaking out. Will the amount of Azitromycin ive taken cure or stop any progression of any STDs?
