The doctor perscribed and I took 2g of azithromycin. I noticed a great decrease in leakage but still am having some discharge if I milk my penis; it comes out about every couple of hours, again it looks like urine but after a while it looks like a small amount of semen. I am very worried about this. I still don't have the results back and should hear within the next two days. I'm trying to figure out how long it will take for the discharge to go away. Am I doing something wrong?
i went back to my GP and he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g, 2g metronidazole and a 10-day course of doxycycline, 200mg a day in a single dose. again i finished the course, but the symptoms won't go away. he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g. after that i had another 10-day doxycycline course together with 2g metronidazole. still the symptoms are there.
I have had an infection for just about 4 months now. I have no idea how I got it, but I ended up giving it to my gf. She went to the doc and he told her it was BV. I have tried taking Ciprofluaxin, Azithromycin, and Levofluaxin (plz excuse the spellings) but anti-biotics just don't really seem to do anything. My symptoms are so minor that I didn't even realize I had it until my gf told me I gave her something.
While I disagree with Teak's comment that there is no way to catch HIV from oral sex, in your particular situation, I agree that the risk was virtually non-existent. Unless you were giving oral sex to a male, letting him ejaculate in your mouth, and had cuts and sores in your mouth, you are fine. The kind of oral sex you describe - allowing a woman to give you oral - carries no documented risk.
0 grams (4 500 mg pills) taken at one time is just as effective as penicillin for syphilis treatment however, there are some cases of treatment failures with azithromycin for syphilis treatment and many of the treatment failures have come from San Francisco where you apparently live. Thus this is a matter of concern.
While many people will be cured by therapy of early syphilis with azithromycin, the dose you have received is not the recommended dose.

I was given 1G of Azithromycin on the 27th and my symptoms all but disappeared the next day. I'm still waiting on my urine tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Does this sound like standard NGU considering the timing after exposure and symptoms? I highly doubt gonorrhea since I would expect discharge but am concerned about chlamydia.
I read online that the combination of Ciprofloxacin and Azithromycin can be dangerous. Is this still the case, if the last Ciprodose was one week before the 2g Azithromycin dose?
Next day, Headache was gone but she got fever (~38 degree C) and severe weakness. She started taking Paracetamol and azithromycin. After 4-5 days, she started having cough also. Fever and weakness was as it is. Oxymeter reading is fluctuating between 94-96. I have found that biaxin is chemically different than azithromycin but biologically same at killing bacteria as azithromycin. On some post you say that azithromycin or clarithromycin(biaxin) would cure all the bacterial stds then in others you state that there could be some problems.

s a lot almost like milk. I went to see an OB GYN for pelvic exam and lab test. I had pelvic pain same when you have period cramps. Inflamed vulva and cervix. The doctor suspected bacterial infection and gave me antibiotics "doxycycline" twice a day for one week and clindamycin once a day for a week. Also gave me an antiseptic feminine wash. The lab tests she ordered are gram staining and pap smear.
Hi, I got a test done and it came back positive for chlamydia. I took 1g of azithromycin on Monday night. I went to a lunch today and I started drinking a beer because it had totally slipped my mind that I took the medication on Monday. I finished the one beer, but drank only water the rest of the time. Will that one beer affect my being cured or affect the medication? Thanks.
I have been taking Azithromycin for 4 days. I have gotten worse. Still have fever and have developed nasal congestion with yellow discharge. ENT gave me Spectracef. I read that Spectracef does not treat mychoplasma. So, is there an antibiotic that would treat both mychoplasma AND sinusitis incase I have one or both?
I was also just taking a 5 day dose pack of azithromycin for a sinus infection. I started having heart palpatations as well. I have tachycardia anyways so I didn't really associate it with the medicine. It really started worrying me when my left arm started feeling weak and tingling. This usually also happens when I have an SVT attack but it goes away quickly. This tingling lasted all day. My heart palpatations were more frequent as well.
00PM on day 0, took 1g Azithromycin at 2:45 on day 0, and had sex with my gf at 9:00AM on day 1, had sex with my gf again on day 2 in the evening, and noticed the symptoms on day 3. t exactly listening to what the nurse had to say while being in full blown anxiety attack mode. She had prescribed 4 pink oval pills of Azithromycin 250mg and I took them all at once like I was supposed to. My question is that with my obsessive thinking and severe depression and anxiety, especially over this, can I still smoke medical marajuana after having taken the antibiotics? Before the antibiotics I was/am a regular medical marajuana smoker. Will it affect the medication in any way?
Monday of this week, I noticed what looked like an ingrown hair on my scrotum. I FREAKED OUT!! Syphilis came to mind. I overreacted and took a 1000 mg pill of Azithromycin in the morning and one that night. Still freaking out on Tuesday, I googled more and saw where recommened dose was 2 grams in a single dose. I took 2, 1000 mg pills immediately. The chancre seems to be fading, but Im still freaking out. Will the amount of Azitromycin ive taken cure or stop any progression of any STDs?
