993114 tn?1249429629 I went and got a pap done about two weeks ago, at that time i was also tested for chlamydia and gono. My chlamydia came back postive. My first dose of Azithromycin i threw up nearly two hours after taking it, after taking a second dosage, and keeping it down i assume everything would be fine and dandy. Unfortunately, that was about 8 days ago, and i'm still experiencing a bloody discharge. As a side note, I also started my birth control again (Microgestin).
Avatar f tn Let me just start off by saying the worst decision of my life was starting on microgestin. I started taking microgestin last July and within days I was feeling dizzy and i called my ob and she advised me to keep taking them that my body just had to get used to them. So I did. About a week later I suffered from my 1st panic attack at a meeting at work. Then I knew it was from microgestin. So I took myself off of them.
Avatar f tn Have you tried any other pills? You might just be sensitive to the type of estrogen and progesteron Microgestin uses or need a different balance, etc., to not experience the mood symptoms. I had issues with sensitivity to smell, nausea, and other things, but I changed the time I took it. However, I think you need to talk to your gynecologist about trying something else as you're getting mood symptoms.
1741212 tn?1310996224 It is usally a lot darker than a normal period and doesnt last as long. Taking Microgestin can cause bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed/irregular periods, especially during the first few months of use. You should take a pregnacy test just to make sure. Also because you have stopped taking your birthcontrol, your cycle and body is changing. Which can also cause a change in your period.
Avatar f tn I just started taking Microgestin and I'm liking it so far. Does anyone have any information on this birth control and how do you like it personally?
Avatar f tn Same here, I've been taking microgestin fe 1/20 for about 5 months now and the namebrand version of it for around 6 months before that. I feel very pregnant, did not get my period during the placebo pills, and now 8 days after the last of my sugar pills i quit my birth control since i feel like this and it could be pregnancy if not i feel gross anyways.
Avatar f tn Last month I took a few pills late, but never completley missed one, I'm on microgestin, it caused my period to come a week early I guess. If I continue right into my next pack and take them exactly on time am I still protected?
Avatar m tn The problem started when my gyn put me on microgestin after being on the generic ortho tricyclen for 10 years. 1 month into the Microgestin I became severely dizzy and had severe heart palpitations. I completely stopped all birth control and my body became super fatigued and I broke out in horrible cystic acne. After changing my diet, elimating caffeine, accupuncture and taking many herbs and vitamins my body feels better. Now I am experiencing severe pms symptoms every period.
Avatar f tn I've been taking microgestin for about 5 1/2 years now. I've neve noticed a brown spotting the week before my period at all. Yesterday I noticed some spotting and today it did it again. I haven't missed any pills or taken them later. I'm curious as to what could be causing this?
Avatar n tn I'm currently on microgestin 1.5/30 and I take it continuously and consistently, meaning I don't break for a period. Two weeks ago I had break through bleeding for about four days, last week was normal and today, break through bleeding again. It's a lot heavier than typical spotting that lasts about a day. Any suggestions, tips, or recommendations??
Avatar m tn 0 grams (4 500 mg pills) taken at one time is just as effective as penicillin for syphilis treatment however, there are some cases of treatment failures with azithromycin for syphilis treatment and many of the treatment failures have come from San Francisco where you apparently live. Thus this is a matter of concern. While many people will be cured by therapy of early syphilis with azithromycin, the dose you have received is not the recommended dose.
Avatar m tn I read online that the combination of Ciprofloxacin and Azithromycin can be dangerous. Is this still the case, if the last Ciprodose was one week before the 2g Azithromycin dose?
Avatar f tn I also have migraines, by the way, and I take Microgestin Fe.
Avatar n tn bc is notorious for messing up women's cycles and lighter periods is a classic side effect. the chances of you being pregnant are tiny, about 1%. if you are worried, just take a test, only takes a minute and i'm sure it will put your mind at ease. it's almost definitely the way the bc is affecting you.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Microgestin 1/20 for 1 month now. I am almost finished with my second pack, I'm on the placebo week, its my fifth day no period still. I'be been taking my bcp on time everyday. Should I be worried or should I stay calm until I start taking my next pack?
Avatar n tn I have read lots of your post concerning biaxin and azithromycin and whether they cure syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU. I have found that biaxin is chemically different than azithromycin but biologically same at killing bacteria as azithromycin. On some post you say that azithromycin or clarithromycin(biaxin) would cure all the bacterial stds then in others you state that there could be some problems. by H. Hunter Handsfield, M.D.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm on the pill microgestin. My periods are usually right on time on the third day of my inactive pills. This Wednesday there was nothing the on Thursday was spotting like a brownish color. Not a lot. Same for Friday and just once in Saturday. My period usually lasts from Wednesday until halfway through Saturdays. I took an ept test on Friday and then yesterday (Sunday) Morning. It was a very light faded - in the result window..
Avatar f tn I am a 19 year old female and I have been on microgestin for almost a year now. Last month my period came a week early but was unusually heavy and clotty. That pack I had taken a few pills late but never missed a whole day 24 hours. After describing my situation to my mom she thinks I may have gotten pregnant and had an early miscarriage. I didn't get my regular period the next week. Could I have been pregnant?
Avatar f tn Two nights ago, I had an intense lower back and abdomen cramp and bled out a little bit of old blood. Cramping has continued and I was bleeding black/brown blood until last night, when I bled some bright red. Any idea what this is? Implantation, miscarry, random period?
Avatar n tn Actually, both of those are generics for the brand names Loestrin and Microgestin. Generics all have their own names but from a chemical standpoint, the active ingredients are identical to the name brand. Where Junel and Blisovi differ is just in the inactive ingredients.
Avatar m tn Hi, I got a test done and it came back positive for chlamydia. I took 1g of azithromycin on Monday night. I went to a lunch today and I started drinking a beer because it had totally slipped my mind that I took the medication on Monday. I finished the one beer, but drank only water the rest of the time. Will that one beer affect my being cured or affect the medication? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I am currently on birth control (microgestin 1.5/30) and due for my period today. I am having little cramping, and I am used to my BC periods happening at an exact time of day, each month. If I end up missing this month's period, is that normal following my surgery? I have read other women's posts about late/missed periods following laparoscopic surgery, but they are not on birth control.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Azithromycin for 4 days. I have gotten worse. Still have fever and have developed nasal congestion with yellow discharge. ENT gave me Spectracef. I read that Spectracef does not treat mychoplasma. So, is there an antibiotic that would treat both mychoplasma AND sinusitis incase I have one or both?
Avatar n tn I was also just taking a 5 day dose pack of azithromycin for a sinus infection. I started having heart palpatations as well. I have tachycardia anyways so I didn't really associate it with the medicine. It really started worrying me when my left arm started feeling weak and tingling. This usually also happens when I have an SVT attack but it goes away quickly. This tingling lasted all day. My heart palpatations were more frequent as well.
