azithromycin and flu shot

After taking Azithromycin and getting a shot in my butt and waiting 7-8 days is it safe for me to receive oral sex from a female even if my symptoms cleared up the next day I took them and after being treated and given a shot and if I got treated within 5 days in noticing something is my chance of getting rid of a STD higher since I reacted on it faster and after waiting 7-8 days after taking azithromycin and getting a shot can not use a condom and still be safe even when the symptoms cleared up

It burned when they stuck the swab in. After that, the phyisican went along to treat me with azithromycin (4x250mg) and a shot of something called rocyine or something...anyhow it was a shot they gave me in the butt cheek, he said the shot kills off any other infection u might have going on. This all happened about 15days ago (4/23/2010). Meanwhile I slept with the same woman again 36hours after being treated in the E.R.

Ive never gotten the flu shot but being pregnant my doctor recommended it and I also got the tdap.

I received the single dose of 250mg of intramuscular ceftriaxone AND 1g of oral azithromycin and felt relief immediately and no symptoms upon waking the next day, However as day progressed the symptoms became worse and worse. Is it normal to feel better and then have relapse which will improve relative to symptoms over time?

I got the flu shot and the whooping cough vaccine. I didn't get them both on the same day though.

Hello last week i had the flu shot on thursday and just two days ago i been getting pin and needles feeling my toes and hands and also bad back ache and itching i went to my dr and he says it just a bad reaction from the flu shot and i hope he is right im scared and dont want it to be anything serious

I haven't had my flu shot for over three years. My immune system is amazing. I literally never get sick. Probably because it built up so well when I got sick a lot as a child. My parents were not super protective over me playing in dirt or other things. I haven't had the flu, a cold, or anything else in years. A few years ago when I DID get my flu shot, I got sick for like two weeks immediately afterwards. Puking, fever, everything.

My last dr was an @$$ and had basically forced me to set an appt for the flu shot. My entire life i havemt gotten the flu shot, and YET i havemt got the flu. I plan on canceling the appt. Im very healthy with a very good immume system. Am i just wrong?

The flu shot does not cause the flu. If you get the flu after getting the shot you either had the flu before the shot, it wasn't in your system good when you got it, or you caught a strain they didn't make a vaccine for. I would rather get the shot and know I am trying to prevent myself from getting sick and giving it to my baby. The flu is deadly for infants. It's just like the whooping cough shot. Both are very important.

Im a ftm and my dr is recommending a flu shot but i keep hearing and reading all these bad things about it and now im wondering if it is even worth getting one. Has any of you got it and if so does it really help so you dont get sick?

I didn't. No flu yet. I've been around the flu, and I've been around toddlers, but I've never gotten the flu before and didn't want to get the shot if I felt it was unnecessary.

I had the flu shot before and for the first time in my life i got the flu a week later, it was horrible. Thank god i wasnt prego but i do not believe in flu shots after that. And everyone i know who had the shot got the flu soon after.

I haven't had a flu shot since h.s. (over 10 years ago) and reluctant to get one while pregnant. I just havent cared to get one and have never gotten seriously sick. Any words of wisdom? And what other shots would I need before the birth? I appreciate it!

The flu shot is for respiratory flu, not for the stomach flu. A girl I knew got the flu toward the end of her pregnancy and it turned into pneumonia and she had to have an emergency c section at like 30 weeks and she ended up passing away from it never having been able to hold her baby because they had to put her in a medical induced coma. That being said, I have gotten a flu shot with every pregnancy and every year to protect my little ones with weak immune systems.

This is my 4th child and I never got the flu shot and when they asked me last week I said no...Only my oldest 2 get the flu shot and thats because they have asthma and there Dr. Recommended they get it for that reason and every time they get sick from it but my youngest son is 3 and he has never had the shot and he is fine. unless this baby has asthma he won't be getting the shot either.

I had the flu shot when pregnant. It's safe unless you're allergic to eggs, and it was a wonderful, invulnerable feeling to be out at the grocery store during flu season and be around coughing, hacking people and know I couldn't get the flu.

getting your shot helps protect you and others. Especially little ones who aren't old enough to get their shots yet. It's good that hospitals are now making it a requirement. It doesn't make sense that someone in the medical profession would even be allowed to turn it down when dealing with so many people every day.

Shouldn't the flu shot be given pretty painless in the shoulder and only stay sore a couple of days? Will I ever get the use of my wrist and fingers back?
