Type the name of your medicine you need help in the box (link should bring you to page with a box - I typed in Provigil in the search term using drug name), and it brought up the company's program, and I also tried it with Avonex.... My insurance prescription coverage only covers generic drugs and since there is no generic drug for Copaxone it would cost me $10,000 for a 3 month supply! I obviously do not have that kind of money, not really sure who could afford that but anyway... I was working with Shared Solutions and their medication assistance only to be told that I was inelidgeable for the assistance.

All of the CRAB (copaxone/rebif/avonex, betaseron) drug companies have patient assistance programs, if they are needed. I recommend calling your insurance first though, to see what their preferences are- because with mine, they wanted me to try certain ones first, before they would agree to pay for the others. I have know idea why, and neither did the agent I was speaking to. There aren't any generics available for these drugs. With a prescription from your doctor, you should be okay.

I probably should have also mentioned that MSAA (Multiple Sclerosis Association of American) has an equipment distribution program and a cooling equipment distribution program. I would recommend anyone with MS or waiting on a dx go to the site and join. After joining they sent me an introductory packet with a lot of info.

I think that there is another a few other ones but I can't think of them right of hand, but someone else might know and will post them. But start with applying for Bigen Idec's program for now.

You might consider changing namebrands. Betaseron has a $0 out of pocket co-pay assistance program. It was 50/ month, but last October, it became free. I am not sure what the qualifications are, and I was pleasently suprised to qualify for it.

This is my understanding of the patient assistance programs for Incivek. The list price, which no patient will have to end up paying, is $49,200 for 12 weeks. HOWEVER, the patient assistance programs, are more than generous. Typical Co-pay for the three prescriptions that will be needed will be between $50 and $250 each.

Apparently, Acorda has both a co-pay assistance program and a patient assistance program for the uninsured and underinsured. The way the co-pay program works is that if your co-pay is more than $40, Acorda will pay the difference so the patient's max out-of-pocket is $40.
