198419 tn?1360242356 SarahL asked for a good list for patient medicine assistance sites. I came across pparx and tried it out. Type the name of your medicine you need help in the box (link should bring you to page with a box - I typed in Provigil in the search term using drug name), and it brought up the company's program, and I also tried it with Avonex.... Quicker than linking a whole host of individual websites! http://www.pparx.
Avatar n tn My insurance prescription coverage only covers generic drugs and since there is no generic drug for Copaxone it would cost me $10,000 for a 3 month supply! I obviously do not have that kind of money, not really sure who could afford that but anyway... I was working with Shared Solutions and their medication assistance only to be told that I was inelidgeable for the assistance.
2047903 tn?1330187549 All of the CRAB (copaxone/rebif/avonex, betaseron) drug companies have patient assistance programs, if they are needed. I recommend calling your insurance first though, to see what their preferences are- because with mine, they wanted me to try certain ones first, before they would agree to pay for the others. I have know idea why, and neither did the agent I was speaking to. There aren't any generics available for these drugs. With a prescription from your doctor, you should be okay.
648910 tn?1290663083 I probably should have also mentioned that MSAA (Multiple Sclerosis Association of American) has an equipment distribution program and a cooling equipment distribution program. I would recommend anyone with MS or waiting on a dx go to the site and join. After joining they sent me an introductory packet with a lot of info.
Avatar m tn ” Naturally, someone who answers the phone at NeedyMeds is not going to know the details about every medication and every assistance program, they can just point you to them. NeedyMeds doesn’t sell the drugs. The website’s information about Avonex provides the phone number I mentioned earlier, 800-456-2255, and the folks at that number will be of great help to you.
4461995 tn?1357955108 And they even have other referral programs to help with the cost if you are on government insurance that keeps you from using their regular assistance program. Make the call and keep asking to speak to someone who can help if you get negative responses from the intial calls.
Avatar m tn Contact Biogen Idec (or your nurse from there that trained you to inject) they have an assistance program. I think that there is another a few other ones but I can't think of them right of hand, but someone else might know and will post them. But start with applying for Bigen Idec's program for now.

Avatar n tn You might consider changing namebrands. Betaseron has a $0 out of pocket co-pay assistance program. It was 50/ month, but last October, it became free. I am not sure what the qualifications are, and I was pleasently suprised to qualify for it.
1622229 tn?1299050798 http://www.bms.com/products/Pages/programs.aspx It took about a week and they have approved me to receive the medication and are shipping it to my home. If anyone is suffering financial hardship and needs medication, I encourage you to fill out the application and get it into them. Good luck and God bless.
Avatar f tn This is my understanding of the patient assistance programs for Incivek. The list price, which no patient will have to end up paying, is $49,200 for 12 weeks. HOWEVER, the patient assistance programs, are more than generous. Typical Co-pay for the three prescriptions that will be needed will be between $50 and $250 each.
333672 tn?1273792789 Apparently, Acorda has both a co-pay assistance program and a patient assistance program for the uninsured and underinsured. There are some details at http://brassandivory.blogspot.com/2010/02/annual-price-for-ampyra-set-at-12850.html with more info in the comments. And yes, the base price for a 30-day supply is $1,056. The way the co-pay program works is that if your co-pay is more than $40, Acorda will pay the difference so the patient's max out-of-pocket is $40.
Avatar m tn If in need, call the Schering-Plough Patient Assistance Program at 1-800-521-7157 and/or the Roche Patient Assistance Program at 1-877-757-6243. November 10, 2008 http://www.hepatitis-central.com/mt/archives/2008/11/choosing_and_af.
