Avatar f tn t u just hate when ppl who are suppose to be ur friend fill ur mind with doubt and worry?? All week I have heard horror stories from the girls from work (who are nurses) girls we gotta remember that no pregnancy is the same and personally I feel listening to girls drag us down makes us feel waaay worse. I ended up booking a private scan cos I was so torn up by what ppl were telling me about my nausea symptoms stopping. If ur not sick ur whole pregnancy something is wrong?!?!? I was terrified.
Avatar n tn I was having a discussion on my Facebook about birth and all that and asked that anyone who commented refrained from telling horror stories.. 324184 tn?1308076203 t necessarily pay attention to the horror stories that you find online... b/c everyone is different, but I would like some feedback. I've seen the horror stories and I've also heard (from my nurse friend - directly from other nurses who take it themselves) that it is a wonder drug.
1360763 tn?1278090069 Hiii, The medicine which you are talking about is - Ziconotide, which is FDA approved drug, given intra-thecally, for the pain control. Forget about all the horror storied and try this drug, and if it gives you relief, then nothing's better. However if you feel uncomfortable, then we can discuss further.
Avatar m tn I have had a round of Avelox a few weeks ago and recently Omnicef 600mg/day for 10 days and still have discharge. Question, wouldn't these antibiotics be affective against NGU, Chlamydia or Gonnorrhea? Thanks for the help.
1373852 tn?1307843048 I wake up at night wheezy, coughing up white or clear phlem . I also have chest heaviness and itchiness in the chest area. I feel like there is phlem stuck in my throat and my nose feels stuffed. When it is hot out I get these same symptoms.could this be asthmatic bronchitis or something else. Avatar m tn Am 42 year old male who has had five years of painful diverticulitis off and on. I am scheduled for surgery in 5 weeks. I am only reading horror stories and am wondering if anyone has had a good outcome after surgery. I am in otherwise great health.
Avatar m tn After trying Doxy, Azithromycin, and Flagyl, the only antibiotic that finally worked was Avelox. The question now is what I should treat my partner with. I know from my experience that my NGU was passed sexually, and she needs to get treated before we can have sex again. The problem, is that she said she is allergic to Avelox. Another problem, is that since it is NGU, we cannot test to confirm if the bacteria is cured, and she is also asymptomatic.
Avatar m tn I have tendonitis as a result of taking Avelox. Is this a condition that can be treated like other tendonitis and what is the prognisis?
Avatar f tn There are two Virginia Sherrs in Pennsylvania who write about Lyme. One is a psychiatrist (retired, I believe) who has written stories about how she got Lyme and was told by various MDs that perhaps she had a psychiatric problem. The other one is a GI doc and wrote this article to explain what Lyme + Bartonella do to the gut. Burrascano's Advanced Topics paper also talks a bit about Bartonella. http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf Hope this helps! P.S.
Avatar f tn I feel very nervous like I am having withdraw symptoms with the same dosage. I want to stop taking it tomorrow 'but have have read some horror stories. Could i be dependent on it already? 'I would like to just stop cold turkey' I hope to talk to a doctor tomorrow. this is kinda scaring me... Hopefully someone has some insight for me.
Avatar m tn I read all of these horror stories online when I chose to go off of xanax (I was rx'd 2mgs 4x's a day!) Anyway, I did taper down to 1 2mg a day. I used it at night only. I went cold turkey off of that. The taper was quick (as in 30 days) and my withdrawal was: day 1-3 mild anxiety day 4-7 tough to sleep of course and felt just out of it. I made sure to have no unnecessary drama.
Avatar f tn Ok I am weaning off suboxone slowly have gone from 8 mgs to 4 mgs over the last 4 months but have been very depressed, the doctor started me on 30 mg of cymbalta 8 days ago, nauseous first 3 days and now mouth is very dry, haven't really noticed any other side effects and it's too soon to tell if it's helping with the depression but I've been reading some horror stories about cymbalta withdrawals, should I stop now?? Avatar f tn Ciprofloxacin, Avelox, Levaquin, norefloxacin, etc) cause, instead of choosing to diagnose each symptom individually?
Avatar f tn Avelox... I went yesterday and saw a lung specialist, he calmed me down and told me that i only have a little pneumonia in my lower left side it's nothing to be worried about. It's the bronchitis that's causing a lot of pain in my chest and back that I did not have prior to the antibiotics.
660680 tn?1225215237 A few days after the exposure I statrted taking an antibiotic, Avelox, for a sinus issue. Over the weekend I statrted to itch but with no visible signs of a rash. The question I have is this an early sign of HIV infection? Were my blood tests too close to exposure and therefore worthless? Is the "itch" a possible adverse reaction to the Avelox. I stopped taking the antibiotic today. Just overly concerned and need some reassurance that I have not contracted HIV.
Avatar f tn s normal to be a little anxious about labor. The horror stories are out there, but so are the good stories. Try to relax, things will be ok. The bad things you hear don't happen very often.
Avatar n tn I recently developed an upper respitory infection and bronchitis and one of the medications was AVELOX. Within 3 days the severe pain in my shoulders was GONE. How is this possible? Was it a viral infection causing my pains and if so could it be a form of Lyme Disease?
7913021 tn?1418048620 Hello ladies!! I have my glucose screening next week-- I'm 24 weeks! & I've heard horror stories! :( I'm worried I'm gonna throw it up cause it's obviously horrible & I still have morning sickness! 10370221 tn?1409648755 t take it for a month just to see what would happen. I, too, read the horror stories and the tales of missed periods, but all that happened to me was that my period went back to the hellish way it had been before the pill. I take Microgestin. Remember that everyone's body will respond differently to stopping a medication like this. Of course the ones you're going to find on the internet are going to be the bad ones as people tend to only be chatty when things don't go well.
Avatar m tn I have read horror stories concerning the drug and the weight gain I have experienced since I started this drug a year and a half ago has been 30 pounds. I have never abused the drug. I usually have a few pills left over each month because I do not take them as long as I can stand the pain. Automobile accidents have did a number on my back and neck. I do receive facet blocks in both my neck and back. I also receive epidural in my back.
Avatar f tn Its rare to occur before 20wks but it does happen. Try not to read too much on the net because there are a lot of horror stories that will freak you out. Just relax, drink lots of water and keep that blood pressure down! I got to 35wks with my first and am still aiming for 36wks with this one. Don't be surprised if your dr puts you on calcium, aspirin and a low-fat diet, it will all help keep baby in there and keep you healthy. Take care!
