The label on my bottle says to not take the tenofovir with ibuprofen. However, I previously asked my doctor if ibuprofen (among many other question I had) would be okay to take alongside it occasionally --- and he said it was no problem.
Hmmm. What to believe? The label or the doctor? o_O
Any personal experience with the interaction of these two medications?
Similarly, the Midol (cramps and body aches) contains ibuprofen and should not be taken with an additional dose of ibuprofen.

Do ensure that you maintain adequate fluid intake (about 2000 ml) while on these drugs and avoid alcohol as alcohol interacts adversely with Septra.

I am suffering from depression and anxiety. I recently saw my psychiatrist, and he prescribed Effexor (37.5mg a week until I get to 150mg) to treat these conditions. I have been smoking marijuana regularly (daily) for about 5 years now, and it helps me with my lower back pain that I get from an injury that left me with 4 herniated discs, on top of helping with my depression. Obviously it is not helping enough with the depression to be enough, which is why I went to see my psychiatrist.
For many years I have pains that pop up for no reason in joints and muscles and last for usually three to six months and then vanish. I get rashes and tiny red spots on my shins and then clear up. The rashes last about the same three to six months. I had these pains in both my shoulders at once, which almost never happens, so I thought it was my rotator cuffs going due to the work that I do.

Another problem, is that since it is NGU, we cannot test to confirm if the bacteria is cured, and she is also asymptomatic.
If the tendonitis is due to Avelox then yes, it can be treated as usual. The pain and inflammation will subside once the medication leaves the body completely. This may take a week. This is treated with NSAIDs, rest and orthotics or specially designed foot wear to ease the pressure off the tendon. Take care!

I also take fiorocet which has tylenol in it but I do not know off hand about the barbituate and how that would react with the ibuprofen at that dosage so check it out if you haven't already or for future reference.

I've been taking Rebif since my Dx in March with no problems until last night! I took aspirin before my shot instead of my usual ibuprofen and have never felt so horrible. When they say "fllu-like" symptoms that's the understatement of the millenium!!!
I shivered so hard I thought I was going to crack my teeth. I could barely hold a cup of water from the shivering and shaking to take some ibuprofen.
Took Cipro and the sinus pain was not improved so that was follwed by a course of Avelox where I ended up in the ER by day 7 on it [couldn't walk on my own needed IV fluids]. Off it for a week now and still really tired, various nerve pain, joint pain, muscle fatigue...seems to cycle, weak and dizzy, some blurred vision but it's all better than it had been just seems it should be gone since the meds are out of my system.
Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
I am already taking microgestin and ibuprofen. She also gave me shot of kanolog for my allergies.
Before seeing her the only medication I had been on for three years was birth control and ibuprofen for migraines. Now I am on a whole list of things. When I went to check drug interactions for some over the counter cold medicine I wanted to take I saw that the medicine she prescribed me has interactions!!!! She never informed me of this.
I was prescribed six 500mg Levaquin tablets to treat Strep Throat and a potential sinus infection. I only took 4 of the 6 pills since the side effects were getting to much to handle. I started on 3/12/2010 to 3/15/2010.
Here were the side effects:
-nausea
-no appetite
-headaches
-dizziness
-diarrhea
-anxiety attacks
-confusion, like you don't feel like yourself
After I stopped taking it, my nausea and appetite returned gradually in the following two days.
It is odd to take aspirin and ibuprofen if both are for pain, as they do similar things and double the risk of stomach bleeding, but hopefully you have a doctor monitoring this. Personally, I'd also say your herb sources aren't the best companies -- you're into multilevel companies, which lack transparency and therefore could be putting anything into their products given they're avoiding the middleman that stores and the like offer to filter out the cons.
also been on the avelox a week now and still have a week to go, but infection is just getting worse. have been making sure not to take any dairy or other minerals with it, 8 hrs before or 4 hrs after taking it. doc told me to take my omeprazole every day for my acid reflux (which i haven't had any problems with in quite a while) because she thought my acid reflux might be causing all of this to be worse and making my asthma flare up.
