I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your Stomach to burn.Does your Stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
Now I have a bit of a sore kidney from the procedure, and still some Stomach Upset related to that, but nothing like the 4 or 5 hours I used to spend after a workout, feeling like I had been kicked in the nuts or something...
She has the same Stomach Upset issues, BM problems, and pain. We compared notes, and feel confident that we are both suffereing from the same illness. She has been to 4 different specialists and thus far has been given no diagnosis, she reports that they have completed every possible test, none have returned a conclusive answer. She is on medication to help with nausea and increase apetite, she says these help, but she still suffers.
While researching this I contacted other family members and learned that my Mothers sister is currently suffereing from almost the same symptoms as me. She has the same Stomach Upset issues, BM problems, and pain. We compared notes, and feel confident that we are both suffereing from the same illness. She has been to 4 different specialists and thus far has been given no diagnosis, she reports that they have completed every possible test, none have returned a conclusive answer.
I'd get re-evaluated by the doctor. Sometimes if your on med's you could get an Upset Stomach. If you have a stuffed nose and maybe a nasal drip that could also Upset your Stomach. Also, if you have headaches you may have a sinus infection. Do you have a fever, maybe that's why your getting chills? It may just be simply you need a stronger medication. I know when my kids get a sinus infection they need stronger med's than amoxicillin. Augmentin is a stronger med.
But if you have a loved one that you want protected have testing for non std,s like herpes and syhlis only as a precaution only as you were a low risk for those only. Not sure why they want you to see a urlogist with symptoms of an Upset Stomach but cipro can cause anyone to feel strange as is very powerful.
My doctor is puzzled because both breast are the same but he now has me on metronidazole and Augmentin. I was on a different antibiotic before this but now he has changed to see if the results are different. I have been taking it for 5 days now and still don't seem to see any difference. My healing process seems to be good, just don't know if this burning sinsation is normal.( I have no fever) Can you help me with this...
I still don't know how this bacteria got into my prostate gland and how dangerous it actually is, can you tell me? Last year I had a Stomach Upset and Blastocystis Hominus was found, could there be a connection? I made a sperm count test & results were bad, lower than 2%. My Urologist also said this COULD be due to the bacteria (& bacteria COULD be reason frequency, I wish he'd make up his mind) and expects the count to normalise after Augmentin treatment, I hope he's right.
Actually right now i have really bad Upset Stomach, nausea and sinus flare up, more vitreous floaters than normal and up and down "brain fog" with more fatigue. I just started my 4 month for antibiotic treatment. P.S. Everyone is different, but i truely think a week or two of abx is not suffient enough for anyone.. even with the first stages of lyme.
The dental surgeon knew that I was trying to become pregnant (and might already be), so wouldn't have prescribed if he thought it was unsafe, but he said that Amoxicilin can cause Upset Stomach, as it kills off the good bacteria and he highly recommended taking bio yoghurt / yoghurt drinks to re-balance the system. Sounds like something that would have helped some of you and I'm going to give it a go.
I thought I could see the pattern through my spit up but realized my tissue has no pattern? Anyone else ever seen this? I'm not really sick. This Stomach Upset sort of came on all at once which I was laying in bed in the middle of the night. Finally, I thought I better go to the bathroom and get the garbage can just in case.
As I was taking all these medicines during the last two months my Stomach is Upset and all antibiotics are creating digestive problems. Then my doctor prescribed 5 shots of Rosiphin IV. I took Rosiphin IV for 5 days now after 5 days I have sight irritation inside my penis and also frequent urge to Urinate. My doctor is telling as you took wrong antibiotics at the early stages now you need to do endoscopy (passing a camera)inside the penis to check the severity of the damage.
Just now my doctor gave me keflex, and when that didn't work for the sinus infection, he gave me Augmentin XR. All that did was hurt my Stomach. I've been put on so many antibiotics that my Stomach gets torn up and I end up with diarrhea each time. I'm worried that I'll become immune to all these antiobiotics. Any ideas? I've even been given allegra and that seemed to do no good, but maybe I didn't take it long enough.
It's been 4 days since the OTC treatment and I still have the above symptoms plus some slight abdominal pain, along with STILL having the white patches on my tonsils (though today the left side is a bit tender and I have a slight stabbing sensation, kinda like a spinter, in my right tonsil). I have also been dealing with slight nausea and Upset Stomach, but that's subsided for the most part.
Last week I had been checked again they told me I have TMJ. I have been taking Zegerid from Stomach Upset. I felt something stuck in the throat for 2 weeks,I can eat and swallow solid and liquids but pain is always there. I had a Candida Albicans in the throat as well after I took an Augmentin from H. Pylori but now it is gone. I am 27 years old , female, ETOH, non smoker. It really scrares me thinking about esophageal cancer.
I would eat and my intestinal and Stomach area would feel Upset, I would get bad gas pains, get dizzy spells and a tingling feeling in my head. I woke up one morning very dizzy about and the left side of my head ( my left) felt like it was on fire. I rushed to the ER where nothing was done and was told that I was too young to be exposed to a Cat Scan ( because of radiation) and to come back if symptoms persisted.
I agree with all the above suggestions. Definitely AVOID NUTRASWEET (also called "Equal" & "Aspartame). Nutrasweet is extremely dangerous & harmful! Also, try taking ACIDOPHILUS/BIFIDUS (in capsule or liquid form) which are beneficial bacteria ("probiotics"). These good bacteria need to be put back into the large intestine because they get killed off by antibiotics.
-/ Back to bed - get better Dac!!! The noodles have the carbs so just watch those. Doesn't having the flu mess up your glucose too? It does mine. Okay, back to bed.
So the nodes that I would expect ot be large and painful for you would be all along under your jaw, down your neck, behind your ear and even down as far as the armpit on the worst side. Did he look at all the nodes?? The Augmentin may give you diarrhea and Stomach Upset. Try to take it anyway. Get some active culture yogurt and eat it a couple times a day. You might also go to the health food store (or section of your grocery) and buy some "LactobaccillusGG". It is a probiotic.
Diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting may occur during the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. Take with food to minimize Stomach Upset. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: easy bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat or fever, dark urine, persistent nausea or vomiting, severe Stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes or skin.
My doctor tells me it is Folliculitis, and perscribed me an Antibiotic(Cephelexin), which I am evidently allergic to... Now I am taking Augmentin.(A total of three days on the antibiotics) Both of these have produced severe gastrointestinal Upset and diearea As well as nausea. I start having trouble with the medicine within hours of taking it, and they want me to continue taking it of course.. when I stop taking it it takes about 12 hours before I start to feel better in my Stomach.
1 week after I finished the last course of antibiotics I was doubled up in Stomach pain, after 2 weeks of this pain, I was finally sent to a gastroenterologist, who said all the antibiotics I was on, killed my digestive bacteria but didn't say much else. I decided to start taking probiotics and after a few days the pain subsided, but the extreme fatigue resumed.
She does not recall having a fever, Stomach problems. She did have angiodema around her eyes. She has convinved herself this was ars and that her husband has infected her due to the blood transfusion. I am a worrier, but I felt this didn't sound like ars.She had found a website where they said hives were part of ars, I did not believe that to be true, I thought it was non itchy. The hives came and went badly for 4-5 days, relieved finally with a cortisone shot.
I would not worry about the dark area unless it persisted and grew, especially if you have taken any Upset Stomach medications that contain bismuth like Pepto Bismo. They will cause some people to have black stools, black tongues, or throats. If that is the case, the dark color will dissipate over a week or two. Best of luck!

My pancreatic levels were on their way down and my liver was also, but due to a fever I was put on an Augmentin (SP?) - talk about nausea. The Dr. prescribed something to go with the Augmentin so I didn't think much about the nausea until after my 10 days were up. THAT WAS OVER A MONTH AGO. Since then I have been referred back to my Gastroenterologist and gone through another two rounds of blood work; a repeat CT and an EGD - with nothing visible found.
I would at least call the vet to get his/her opinion. Maybe you can do another round of antibiotics. It is possible they have Upset his Stomach. Have you tried boiling some chicken and rice? That may entice him to eat and then he would at least be getting some nutrition/fluid.
I just got very worried when i read 1/2 tsp every 4 hours! just make sure that she's getting enough fluids and watch for signs of Stomach Upset.
So...where to start? I have had severe Stomach/gastro issues for years now ( I am 35 ) and I am just looking for relief. I have seen an allergist since I was about 18 years old, but at that time was only looking into environmental allergies. I tried allergy shots back then but had a anaphylatic reaction to the shots and had to be sent to the ER - so shots are a no-go for me. I havee also had random anaphylatic reactions to a hair relaxer, and Augmentin ( the antibiotic).
