Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition.
December 16, 2016, diagnosed with UTI was placed on the antibiotic Bactrim, symptoms did not go away went to the walk in clinic they repeated the urine and it showed UTI. Placed me on Cipro symptoms were not any better,culture from walk in showed contamination so they wanted to repeat the specimen. Went to the clinic and gave a repeat specimen, it showed Entercoccus was placed on Augmentin. From research I have found that the only thing that works on Entercoccus bacteria is vancomycin.

I was diagnosed with epididymitis after a surgical procedure in early August. I was prescribed doxycycline and cipro and it seemed as if the swelling was going down and the pain was easing. After a few weeks, I ended up back at the ER 8/25 from pain and learned that the epidiymitis was caused by an UTI that must've occured after surgery. The doctor prescribed me doxycycline again. Things seemed to normalize but after I decided to seek other counsel.
My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.

I called my dr and she was quite angry with me. She said I talked to you about this yesterday ,now just take your antibiotics. I felt that she did not answer any question I had. My questions were I feel the antibiotic makes my heart race and could it make my thyroid feel painful?

Dr. asserts exam was not the cause; I was on my 7th day of augmentin at time of exam for a UTI. Saw a new opthamologist, who diagnosed blepharitis; with no explanation of the vision change. Help! Concerned and looking for a cause for this sudden change; prior to exam I could watch TV from 8 ft. without glasses; now I need them for TV viewing and driving. Should I have an MRI to detect any nerve damage or changes? He said the cornea had "irregularities.
I was prescribed augmentin 875 and I am taking that 2 times a day for the past 4 days now. I was also prescribed sudafed 4-6 hours that I have been taking for 2 days. Yesterday I started having trouble urinating and pain in my penis. I also had pain while ejaculating. This is still happening today. Do you think this is a side effect from the medicine or do I have a UTI or urethritis or something like that. I'm 18 years old and have never had these symptoms before.
UTI, fatique and mouth sore since long by antibiotic it was not controlled. Did all test CBC, Urine culture, HIV 1&2, Hepatetis B and VDRL. All all clear. What will be the reason. I had a un protected sex three years back. At present all are clear, is there any chance of HIv in future.
Take the antibiotics, with my first son I had a uti but didn't realise until I was in the back of an ambulance with my womb contracting due to a uti at 18 weeks. I was started on an anti biotic drip & steroids to mature the baby's lungs.

On the 6th of July this year I have been diagnosed with UTI, as I had discharge and also while urinating I felt terrible pain in my penis( there was blood in the urine as well). Doctors gave me Augmentin and everything seemed to be fine, but a week later I felt discomfort in my left testicle, ultrasound showed that nothing is wrong with both of the testicles, they made ultrasound twice to be sure.
symptoms subsided. the morning after i took my last augmentin, i woke up with severe pain/cramping in my bladder and needed to urinate about every 20 min. got a home uti test, it was negative. went to cvs's minute clinic and they did urinalysis, and it was positive for bacteria, was given 7 days of bactrim. on day 4 of bactrim my symptoms (pain, urgency) had gotten worse, so i went to my GP and he repeated urinalysis, along with pregnancy test. both were negative.
My internist called me and asked if I had any pain or burning. I do not. She said I prob have UTI and started me on Augmentin for 10 days. I received the results at home from lab and am concerned about results. WBC Esterace 3+, WBC>30,RBC 11-30, Epithelial Cells {NON RENAL] >10 ,Bacteria few. The culture came up 50000-100000 Group B strep. My dr acted like this is no big deal when I called her to discuss results. Should I just calm down?
Over a year ago i had unprotected sex with someone. About a week later i developed what i thought was a UTI with burning on urination. I called the dr. and they prescriped Septra. I took 2 doses and broke out in a rash all over and had to stop the anti. I called Dr. back and they said to wait and see if it gets worse. It seemed a little better and I saw this person 2 more times in the same month. The day after the 3rd visit i woke up in excruciating pain and could hardly walk.
I am now 3 days late on my periods and moreover doc said that she see something black thing at the time of ultrasound but she is not specific that I am pregnant or not . She ask me to wait 5 more days . HPT tests are negative so far . I have UTI so I am taking citrus soda and augmentin . I am taking progynova 3 times a day 2 tabs and sustain capsule once a day. What are my chances . I am very curious and I want baby . Me and my husband both are trying from last 1 year.
Yes, you could get a UTi or urethritis, which is an infection in your urethra. You could also get skin infections.

I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

2 yrs ago got an acute kidney infection ( high fever, blood in pee, the works) which was treated with augmentin. since then, I keep getting less acute infections and they come back every 3 months. Low fever, very tired, abdominal swelling (a lot), back pain, urine strips show white blood cells and protein and occasionally nitrates. I had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago (large broad lig fibroid) and I hoped that might make a difference.
The augmentin probably isn't working as it may be a viral infection by your description. Sometimes these things take a while to go away.
Well, today I was going to the bathroom quite frequently and I barely could urinate. I went again and I was in SO much pain. It felt as if glass or a razor blade was about to come out of me and I had such sharp, burning pain. I've had infections before, but this was the first time it happened to me like this. I actually started crying from the pain, and the bf tried to help me as best he could but there was really nothing the two of us could do.
The tip of my penis is red in certain areas (almost scaly at times) with a white blotchy area on the right side of it. This particular white blotchy spot is not large and is circular for the most part ( it seems to have other smaller satellite blotches near it as well). Whenever my skin blushes the blotch goes away and becomes flush with the color of my skin. I do have pain when I urinate on some occasions if the stream of urine is not forceful enough.
