I'm 6mos pregnant and have a severe toothache. The pain is very severe that I can feel the swelling below my eyes and my head feels like breaking. I went to my dentist and she stated that the tooth needs to be extracted. My OB approved the extraction and dental xray. Because of the swelling my dentist told me to take Co-Augmentin (Amocivlab) twice a day for 7 days then after that she will do the extraction. The medicine relieves the pain.
So I am not in pain as MUCH as I was. The toothache is officially gone, thanks to the Augmentin or Amox-Clav. The leg pain still bothers me a lot before the next dose, but I don't really seem to mind it really...
The tooth underneath the crown is a blackish-blue color and I have a raging toothache. The dentist said to take antibiotics for a week and then come back for him to re-do the root canal and *try* to save this tooth. The pain continued for several days and now I have a horrible ear infection (but on the ear on the other side). I am now on 4000 mg of Augmentin for the ear w/ruficin (sp) shot as well.

Oh, yes I do believe I have a bad infection. I was on clyndimycin and as of last night they switched me to Augmentin. I have taken two pills and I am still in pain. I take these twice a day. But still in pain. So bad that I am just popping lortabs and advils as often as I am allowed. I will be ok for a few hours but then it starts pounding. So bad I want to cry. Yes, my dentist put a temporary filling in the tooth. This is day 5 and I am still in pain.
Ive had a baaaaad toothache for about 4 or 5 days now!!! This isnt my first bad tooth though, ive had this problem forever it seems. I also dont have any kind of insurance. I still have a bottom molar tooth that broke off below the gum over a YEAR ago now still sitting there cuz I cant afford to have it removed. It needs surgery to get out the way that it is and they wanted I think around 1300 just for that single tooth extraction!
I want to mention here that I have been on modication from last 3 weeks, first week with augmentin for wisdom toothache and than with cyprofloxacin for 15 days for mycoplasma genitallium. While on cypro I have travelled to europe with a temperature contrast from 28 degrees celcius to -2 degree celcius. During all this time I am extremely alarmed and under great fear. I will get tested again soon but this white discoloured spot is making me so so scared.
I had a root canal on one side after an awful toothache. Had another toothache two weeks later on the other side. had another root canal. Pain went away for one week. Came back. It turns out it's the tooth next to the last one I had root canal. So i had three root canals in 1 and a half months. And I still have pain in other teeth. Does anyone out there know if this is normal? to have so many in such a short amount of time? It's been soooo painful. Help!
Not too good somedays, nonetheless tolerable. I awoke at 2 am this morning with a severe toothache. Called my dentist (waited til 8 am!) just got back from visit with him. Apparently there are 2 lesions under the gum on 2 different teeth. One tooth is already loose and needs pulled ASAP, the other he is hoping to save, depends on how it heals from here on out.

One sided pain on the head, from above the ear to behind it, to the forehead. It was not an infection, antibiotics(800 mg augmentin) did not ease the pain. My pcp gave me a non narcotic med for the head pain and it helped, I can not remember the name.
