My doc prescribed Metronidazole for that, and two days later I had a horrible fever and chills all night long (which I thought was a side effect of the Metronidazole) and my right breast was horribly red and really sore! I also had a cramp in the right side ovary. I went back to the doc, for the ovary pain (thinking the breast thing would resolve itself I stupidly didn't mention it to him).
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
Treated with Omnicef, Augmentin, Cliacin, Rocephin Shots, Bactrim, etc. Also on Claritin/Singulair at 10 months for sinus/allergy issues.
-Myringotomy at 12 months, with 10 day run of Augmentin and 6 day run of antibiotic ear-drops post-op.
-2 subsequent ear infections from 12-16 months. Treated with Augmentin, Bactrim. Still on Claritin/Singulair for sinus/allergy issues.
-Second myringotomy and adenoidectomy at 16 months. Very infected sinus cavities and ears.
7. Cough. Strep negative. Not really runny nose. Was on Augmentin but still has fever so changed antibiotics. I noticed yesterday that my child had red blotchy areas on his cheeks when we came in from getting out of the car. He also had areas that looked like a fresh moskito bite on his knuckles of his hands and he was scratching them. Then an area on his ankle too. After about an hour this all went away. No rash on arms, hands other than knuckle area, truck or legs.
Two weeks ago, Monday the 7th I went to the doctor with a sever sore throat and was giving Augmentin to take for 10 days (twice a day). My throat was really sore, I had a 103 degree fever, and thyroid glands were swollen. Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen didn't do much to relieve the pain. The rapid strep test said I did not have strep throat, but after looking at my throat a few times the doctor believed the test was wrong and gave me Augmentin.
I have had generally felt bad since Saturday and i went to the doc on Monday and he gave me Augmentin. I am still having these chills and sweats. Has anybody else had these symptoms latley??
over the summer (two seprete instances) i have had cold sores (hsv 1) on the back of my throat right before my tonsil. both times there was a single cold sore. and both times i was given two doses of valtrex (4 pills: 2 and then 2 agian in 12 hours). as a percuation i was given a refill of valtrex to be taken if my imune system was low.
2 yrs ago got an acute kidney infection ( high fever, blood in pee, the works) which was treated with augmentin. since then, I keep getting less acute infections and they come back every 3 months. Low fever, very tired, abdominal swelling (a lot), back pain, urine strips show white blood cells and protein and occasionally nitrates. I had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago (large broad lig fibroid) and I hoped that might make a difference.
I was administered a strep test which came back negative but the pain increased, I could not swallow anything, I had ear aches, and began to run a fever. I went to the ER within 4 days once the pain was intolerable. The DR. Prescribed me augmentin and the pain subsided until the meds were gone. Four days later on Thanksgiving all of the symptoms returned. I went to the ER again to get a different diagnosis or pharyngitis. I was prescribed clindamycin and prednisone.
teak thnx for your reply ... actually this morning i woke up and i had some white spots on my tongue ... so i took come betadine and guggled ... the white is off of my tongue and now it's redish burning ...
i have a sore throat and i am on antibiotics Augmentin 1g and have fever 37.6 early morning it's 36.9 ...so no fever...
as i said previously 3 weeks ago i got *** in my eye and i am dying from fear ...

I was tested for cancer and the dr could not find traces of cancer or TB.. I have been on Augmentin SR for the past month.drinking 2 in the morning and two at night for the first 7 days, thereafter 1 in the morning and one at night. I have to see the one dr tomorrow as I have been treated now by 2 specialists and the one who treated me last week, in a months time.. A CAT scan was also done, hence the abscess and treatment.
Everyone, I got sudden cold, dry cough and high fever(101 - 102), it went for 23 days and came down with Augmentin after doing few blood test those ware normal. Then there was 10-12days i was batter and coming on routine. Again from last few days im having high fever (102 - 103)along with coughing that makes me to though up some chuck of food, some time thicky Yellowish greenish bitter test liquid.
So my question is whome I should consult as previously i did MD and other one MD-PA....
Im 41 and typically healthy but I caught pneumonia and I'm not being better. It's been a week and the fever is still high and I feel crunmy! Was to the hospital twice and they sent me home with augmentin. That didn't work so my doctor put me on levofloxcine and I feel better for a little them it comes back strong..when will this go away?
I also had persistent low-grade fever. I contacted my local GP and he prescribed Augmentin 625mg/ three times a day for a week. He also drained the pus and recommended daily bandage change. Taking the first pill alone killed the fever but the pus hasn't improved much. Is the treatment regimen fine or should I see some dermatologist? It's quite expensive here to see one where I live though. How long should I go for bandage?
On Friday, June 11th, I was diagnosed with otitis media (middle ear infection) and placed on Augmentin and pain reliving drops. I am still experiencing pain as if someone is stabbing me in the ear, it is keeping me awake, and my ear is completely blocked with what feels like fluid. I stil feel awful and cannot get comfortable at all.
Should I return to the doctor? My ear is hurting me a lot and I am having pain into my kneck and terrible headaches.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Sir, I am 22 year old male, I did protected vaginal sex with a prostitute, an old women, after 40 days a had sore throat, high fever and severe Lower joint pain, I have given antibiotics ie augmentin and Dolo for fever my fever gone in 4 days and joint pain in 2 to 3 days after taking the medicine but had sore throat with white exudate on it which also gone in 5 days by antibiotic. Mean while I have also gone for a swab culture test from my throat which yielded streptococcus pneumoniae.
