m pretty sure it DID help the sinus infection/congestion, but for the last few days the shakiness, leg weakness, and occasional hot and sweaty feeling has been back. My left cheek and neck are a little swollen and feel sore, too, which started again last night.
The hot and shaky and weak thing is really bad tonight. I can hardly do anything without getting shaky and sick. It feels like when you have the flu and you're so sick you can barely do anything.
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

It is highly likely that Augmentin in the dose and duration I just recommended would abort incubating gonorrhea -- which almost certainly you didn't catch anyway. You can safely take the drug then continue unprotected sex with your wife.
The problem here isn't just STD; you apparently are reacting emotionally to the sexual event, perhaps conflicted about your own sexual orientation or preferences. But this isn't a counseling service, so that will be all for this thread.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Augmentin will affect your pill. The other one I do not know about. It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.
He thought I had a secondary infection in the uterus and gave me Augmentin to take along with the other I am taking. It has been 36 hours and my breast is still really red and sore. I don't know what to do! I am worried that it may lead to sepsis?? Or should I not be worried since I am taking augmentin? It is the weekend, so I can't call my doc again. I haven't had a recurrence of fever or chills. Was the fever just a symtom of Mastitis?

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
I too have PCOS and my doc just put me on Metformin to help me Ov I was on clomid for 6 months and only Ov once the whole time now he took me off the clomid and just put me on Metformin and told me that it will help with my Ov I am not insulin resistance but he says it will help me to Ov. I am not over weight and I am over all healthy thank god. I hope it helps you and I both to Ov.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
Yes Metformin can cause weight loss, I lost about 25 needed lbs real quick with a low carb, nothing white diet. I have tried not very successfully before metformin and did not lose the weight. on my left tonsil, half of the inflamed tonsil is covered by a flap of skin. that skin is very irratated and red, this is probably due to the skin stretching as well as my tonsils having issues in general. the back of my throat (not my tonsils) are covered in small "blisters" or "pimples" the kind you sometimes get under your tongue.
No, the rate decrease if your taking metformin. I also have PCOS and I had a miscarriage in October..every since then I haven't had a period or ovulate on my own so my doctor put me on provera, metformin, and letrozole(femara) to get pregnant but the metformin alone will help you NOT to have a miscarriage...good luck to you sweetie. I think you should ask your doctor about taking metformin, it corrects PCOS also...

So I eat one date fruit with every Metformin i,e just after swallowing Metformin. Is this okay?. Also I eat grapes now whenever I feel like need more energy to move around. Is that good?

ve been experience throbbing pain around upper right teeth, my cheek, front and back of my head, and I have swollen painful gum around my right side of my face, and I right shoulder is aching. And I think lymph nose under my chin is swollen. The right side of my face, neck, around ear and back of my head hurt if I push those areas. But I do not have a runny or stuffy nose. I do know that there is a little drainage going down the back of my throat, but it is really a little amount.
