swollen lymph nodes, pain in armpits and groin, fever, mild candida, tiredness. I went to my primary Dr, he gave me an Elisa, that came up negative this week. Before recieving the results, I took an expired home test that came up positive. I took that to a specialist who saw the test, looked me over and gave me Atripla to start to be safe. She also sent me off for more tests, elisa and others. I also now took a PCR DNA thats not back yet.
nPEP success rate is 86% apx.
I switched a couple years ago to Complera for a brief period that gave me severe depression and worse anxiety so had to stop it too and go back to Atripla. Now I am on beta blockers for the tachycardia, Xanax to help sleep, and Cialis because of the effect the beta blockers have on libido. And I still feel lousy. My labs are good but shouldn't I just switch meds could all this be due to the Atripla?

did Atripla can delay the seroconversion since i took it during 11 days.
Late at night on 6/11, I had brief unprotected insertive vaginal intercourse with a 22 year old CSW (stripper in Vegas) of unknown risk. PCR RNA at 56 days with a 5 days of Atripla in between. Could Atripla knock down primary viral load that much in 5 days to skew this test? Could it also extend my Elisa Window?

My husband was diagnosed in dec after a 5day stay in hospital discharged as neg but tild to call doc in 3days some blood work was not ready. Ehen we called they told him to go seea doc they started him on atripla. He is doing fine but he says he is neg the test r wrong. He did not ejaculate inside me, however it was unprotected. Later today I saw in his cabinet the medication atripla which I found out is for the treatment of HIV. Good day all. I am taking atripla as pep. I am reading scary stuff that hiv could be resistant to are drugs. Is it possible that the hiv strain could be resistant to all 3 components of atripla rendering it useless? Two components are the same as truvada.
I opened the package to see what it was because he never takes medicine and I thought something was wrong. After some research I found out that Atripla is for treating HIV. He has been taking it for 5 months now (it said the original date on the rx). Needless to say I freaked out and about had a panic attack. I have not asked him about it yet, but I am going to. Oral sex is a no risk activity for everyone, irrespectice of circumcision status. Difference comes in when we talk about unprotected penetrative sex, where circumcised males have a slight edge over uncircumcised males because they have less mucus membrane area exposed during sex.
It was positive (I believe she Knew this b4 hand and just wanted me to confirm my fears). I rushed back to hospital and told them. They gave me atripla which I started 65 hours post exposure. From that day on I felt fatigue, had diahrea, occational head aches, had two lymph nodes in my neck, muscle twitch and joint pains, developed a few itchy rash 2 days after pep which are still here 7 weeks post exposure. I was on Atripla (with Tenofovir) and my hip bone became nearly inoperable. It affected my bones big time. Since then, I was told I had Periodontal Disease, but I don't believe it's a disease. My teeth are spotless. I floss twice daily and brush gently. I never drink soda or candy. I even gave up on alcohol. I think it's an issue of digestion and food quality.
