I imagine they're trained to know which medications work best for which heart problems. As for dosage, I'm not sure. If you look at a PDR the book mentions standard dosages for children, adults and geriatric folks.
I know with the antibiotics I use at work we choose which antibiotic works best for which type of injury or specific bacteria. I always calculate dosage according to species (mammals have a different calculation compared to birds or reptiles) and weight.
Is atorvastatin or pravastatin better at monitoring cholestoral? My doctor prescribed the generic pravastatin as a more afordable alternative to atorvastatin but also doubled the amount I take (from 20 mg of atorvastatin to 40 mg of pravastatin). Should I be concerned about the effectiveness of pravastatin?
It is easy to find information regarding drug-drug interactions for omeprazole (Prilosec) and atorvastatin (Lipitor). The omeprazole appears to increase the bioavailability of the statin, increasing the risk of side effects. Does this mean that the interaction is like taking a higher dose of the statin, which would provide benefit for someone like me who only takes a low dose (10mg atorvastatin daily) and has no statin tolerance issues?
I have used 10mg Atorvastatin for years with no side effects. The doctor is switching me to simvastatin which reacted badly with my liver in the past. Aim is to save money. Is it safe to buy Atorvastatin online ?

What is the statistic probability that Atorvastatin Ca will convert itself into his enantiomer?
We believe that this conversion is improbable for 2 reasons
First it requires breaking bonds in two different chiral sites in the molecule which will require substantial energy and will not happen spontaneously
Second the statistical probability that the reforming of the bond in the enantiomer in this very specific way is close to zero.
We would be appreciative to hear your opinion.
She is not alcoholically person and never drink in her live. She has heart disease and take atorvastatin for 10 years and also donepezil and ladiomil for 4 years. Since her doctor discover problem with GOT and GPT she stopped taking atorvastatin (3mounts before) because they were suspicious that atorvastatin was reason for this problem but again GOP and GPT increase. If the atorvastatin is keeping your triglycerides down, you will need to continue taking this medication for life, UNLESS, you can get the trigs down thru diet. I assume you
tried this before being prescribed the medication.
Your trigs are currently 1.48mmol/L which is below the limit required for safety (1.7).
You are only taking a very small dosage of Atorvastatin, most people are on 40mg daily.
Well I'm 7 months that means I'm 27 weeks and I have only gain 1 pound my midwife said it was OK 4 me to not gain weight bcz I'm over weight so u girls tell me it seems like I won't have to do a lot of weight loss. How far are u nd how much you gain?
I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'm 36weeks pregnant and since my last doctors appointment I haven't gained any weight. I didn't gain weight in the 1st trimester due 2 sickness, but in the 3rd I've been pretty steady with my weight gain...at the very least a poun a week. And now it's been almost 2 weeks and still no weight gain. Could that mean anything? Or is it just normal? Thanks in advance!
So my dr says my weightgain is fine. He said 1 pound per week along I am.. So I am 32 weeks and I have gained 31 lbs... Does that sound like a lot?!? What has everyone else gained? Or is that a horrible question to ask everyone?
I haven't gain that much weight but I'm pretty sure I was at least 7 to 10 pounds over weight before I got pregnant....
I'm 5'3 so i think i should weight a little less.....

I don't even know how or when did It happen.... :(.
I believe that prevacid can cause weight gain ..seems so many babies are now diagnosed with reflux we used to call it cholic and wait for it to pass now seems they put them on meds.Still your doctor would know the answer, I think its the meds and whilst you child ius on them he may gain weight.good luck once he is off the meds he may go down to a normal weight.
Thanks so much for even reading my long post lol :) I get a little wordy. I needed those words of reassurance thank you :) I was all worried because medhelps tracker showed that I was at a way high weight gain. So do you think I won't gain any more weight for a while then since your 16weeks and have also gained 10lbs?
I was around 137 pre pregnancy and am now 151. Is this a normal amount of weightgain and how much more weight is normal??? I feel like I've gained so much since some women don't gain any.
