Ativan with caffeine

Common Questions and Answers about Ativan with caffeine

diovan

Avatar f tn I worked full-time and had been prescribed the Ativan to help me sleep. I found the Ativan helped me sleep but when I had to get up for work I felt groggy and also felt sleep-deprived. Since coffee has caffeine I realized after I was off the Ativan that coffee was making me sleep-deprived and whenever I wasn't getting enough sleep the "bugs crawling on my scalp" feeling did not go away. It's important to get lots of sleep to stop these symptoms.
Avatar f tn it feels like someone is pushing on my temple and I also keep getting this pressure build up in my head. It has creeped over to the right side (pain in left temple though) and left me with minor pain on the left forehead.... I thought maybe I was dehydrated so have beem drinking water but it does not seem to be helping. When I bend over, I get a horrible amount of pressure in my head and it feels jusr awful.
Avatar f tn I wanted to get some opinions on here about taking some kind of diet supplement that is suppose to help with energy. I think caffeine is a main reason these are effective, but I haven't researched them too much, so I was thinking I could find one that isn't mostly caffeine at least, since I can be sensitive to it, especially in the afternoon and evening because I won't be able to sleep.
Avatar f tn I promise I am not taking the ativan for any other reason but Im a bad flyer but believe me if I can get away with not taking it I will.
Avatar m tn The last 6 weeks it has been more on. The max a day has been 4 with the exception of three times it was 8. I tried to cut them out and I am sick. I went to a doc and he prescribed Ativan .05 every 6 hours and take 1 fioricet every 24 hours. Is this safe? Will the Ativan calm my butt down and help me not to have seizures. I need help and since I don't trust docs, I would like people with experience to give me input. I am all I have and cannot afford to lose my job.
Avatar f tn I am on ativan 1mg and 0.5mg for 2 weeks now on 2mg for a few days, So I Think I have to slowly taper it off before any dependency.
Avatar n tn I'm worried about the weight gain with Zyprexa, is there something else that could be used with the Prozac instead? Also until now I've also been taking 1 mg. Ativan in the morning and 1 mg Ativan before bed. Is it safe to use Ativan with the Zyprexa?
Avatar f tn I had better luck sleeping after I cut out all caffeine. Caffeine lasts a long time in my body. Caffeine in the morning would still keep me awake at night. Lunesta is a sleep med I've taken. Ativan can be used as a sleep med. (Will need to discuss with doctor. Depends on the individual.) There's a tea which is marketed as helping to induce sleep or reduce stress. (May work as well as a placebo. Placebos work pretty well.
Avatar f tn Hi all. I've been on Zoloft for 3 weeks now. I was on 25mg for the first 2 weeks then went to 50mg. I am doing better but still not 100%. I am still having the nervousness & anxiousness in the mornings although not as bad as before. It seems to let up around noon. I have been taking a quarter of Ativan also with the Zoloft until the Zoloft kicks in. I'm trying to go without that today just to see how I'll do. What I am wondering is should this nervousness be gone by now?
1326513 tn?1276518001 The doctor said to avoid all caffeine which i do, only water, juice, sprite and soy milk! I avoid any type of OTC meds with caffeine too. But i am so stinking tired and have zero energy becuase of this. What can i do to get my energy back, to stop being so sleepy during the day? Its only 9am and i feel like my eyes are going to roll back in my head and i could fall asleep for hours here at my desk. Any help please?
Avatar n tn For some people caffeine does raise BG (caffeine is a stimulant). For others it does not raise BG. only way to tell is to test. Test before... drink... test after. if BG higher after than for you yes. HOWEVER do NOT do the test in the morning as you may have DP (Dawn Phenomenon) and that can sque the results of any testing in the morning.
Avatar f tn I was scripted for 25 mg Zoloft with 1/2 tablet first day then whole tablet there after. I did that and my chest pains went thru the roof along with the anxiety and jittery. I have a script for .5 mg Ativan that I half and take. Called psychiatrist and said to go back down to half (12.5) to see if it helps. I take it in the morning as when I took it at night I didn't sleep for 2 days. I have to be at work at 6 am so I take Zoloft 5am.

Avatar m tn I am supposed to begin by taking half of a pill of of the zoloft for the first week then to go to a whole week after the first week. I was given the Ativan to help me with my anxiety attacks and also for insomnia. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this combo and had any luck and also wondering of any kind of side effect issues i may have until i adjust to the drugs? I was previously on Lexapro and .5 of ativan and switched today to the Zoloft and bumped up the mg of ativan to 1 mg.

Avatar n tn 33 year old healthy female, no meds, no hospitalizations, no surgeries, family hx of coronary artery blockage, hypertension, adult diabetes controlled by diet, stroke: 2.5 weeks ago at rest, my heart suddenly was pounding in my chest, heart rate 100-110, SOB and it took a couple or more hours at the emergency room in the hospital to go down to 96 then 84bpm and my blood pressure 176/92. I was sent home without a blood test and told it was Acute Stress Reaction.
Avatar m tn Exercise late afternoon to early evening. Melatonin can help too, but as soon as you begin to feel tired. Go to bed. don't drink any caffeine after noon or so, too. Avoid chocolate and other stimulants, especially in the afternoon or evening.

1549468 tn?1345468736 Hi everyone...I have one more question...how do we deal with the stigma associated with epilepsy and seizures? I had to go to the ER last night because I had a series of "absence seizures". The attending physician asked me "so...what's going on at home, I've never seen this kind of seizure before." Then he asked me if I needed an Ativan. He told the nurse to bring it, after I had another seizure.
1107476 tn?1295016567 I had drank a significant amount of caffeine the night before and they gave me fluids, diagnosing me with dehydration and palpitations. The doctor called my family physician and instructed that I needed to have a holter monitor because something with the EKG was very slightly off, almost nothing to worry about but he said you never mess with the heart. Instead I decided to change my diet.
