gave me some ativan, to help. Even before i started the ativan I started having the shakes, and rapid heartbeat. I tried to to only take the ativan, a half of one mg. I am still having the shakes, muscle tension, and bad headaches. I have taken these pills for about 2and half years. 10mg. lortab, took about 4-6 aday. Just wondering anyone else have this going on?
They take the 10/500's and average 13 of them in 24 hours. They are also taking Tramadol 50 mg and ambien, and ativan. Don't you think that 13 a day is a little excessive? They do have chronic pain, but really now is that much really necessary? RX is for 1 every 6 hours.
I convinced my Dr., to write me a script for Clonadine? And An, anti-anxiety medicine, Ativan. Later I learned Ativan is a horrible drug to get off of too. But luckily for me I was Never Dependent on this drug. I do now believe a large part of w/d is mental. Since I was Never "attached" to Ativan, quitting 2,3,4 mg a day was absolutely nothing for me. Back to the story... At your dosage, I tapered 2 times. Each time I tapered, it was not hard.
This includes drugs such as tramadol (Ultracet and Ultram) codeine (Tylenol #3, #4), Darvocet, Hydrocodone (Vicodin, Norco, Lortab and derivatives), Oxycodone (Endocet, Percocet, Oxycontin), Morphine, Demerol. Fentanyl, and Dilaudud. There are many other opiates not listed, so if you don’t see it listed, you can still use these suggestions if it’s an opiate based addiction. None of these apply to benzodiazepine based addictions. These addictions should never be dealt with by going cold turkey.
For me, I started taking Lortab for Fibromyalgia and then I found that St. John’s Wort and Magnesium taken together eased the pain better than anything else and so I went off the Lortab (as well as Lyrica). But, I have had right shoulder pain for a couple years now and kept putting off having anything done with it – it was never convenient. Finally, my family doctor had to put me on Lortab for the pain. She also attempted cortisone injections which did not work.
how are you both doing? day 2 for me of no lortab and man it is AWFUL!!! cravings and depression and being "cold", just pray that i can hang in here alone. tks for all your encouragment as i do need it @ this time. do/did either of you try suboxone, just wondering if it is effective and since i am in the medical profession if my ins. company, and the doctor would notify my employer and the nurses board of this claim , for my license will @ state.
5's I had both but everything ran out and now I'm feeling so depressed and I feel ill to even just sit still I have some ativan for my anxiety but I've been popping them like candies 2 or 3 at a time now I feel like my mind is going crazy. Someone help just tell me I'll get through this and life will go back to normal. I was on oxycontin before from another surgery and it took a month to get off it so i though lortab would be nothing since it's such a baby pain killer.
Not so much as a question but to let everyone know this is the first morning I hve felt really good, two weeks ago last Lortab, some Amben for 9 days and ocasional ativan and last night didn't take anything. This forum was a lifesaver as most people, even the doctor, don't really want to hear it. I am contuning meetings.
Dear Doctor: I started taking ativan four months ago and continued for two months. During the two-month period, I experienced severe tireness and blurred vision. At that time, I didn't know I need to report those symptoms to my doctor. ( I was taking 0.5 or 1 mg per day. ) After I stopped taking it, I still have blurred vision but less tireness. So basically, I had been taking Ativan for two months with those serious side effect, I am wondering if that would cause damage to my body.
I was given a rx for lortab 10 almost 2 years ago and was taking 2 a day. that progressed to 4 and so on. Now I am up to 10 a day and i just want to stop. My rx only lasts about 2 weeks then i am having to buy and we all know how expensive that is. I have a wonderful husband who is aware of my problem and supports me 100%, although he does not know the extent of how much money i have spent on these pills.
I also had a panic stricken experience and ended up at the hospital in the ER. They did ZERO for me, gave me one low dose of Ativan and sent me home. It will get better day by day, hour by hour....just hang on and do some reading if you feel up to it. Yes, the panic attacks and anxiety are part of it. If Sunday was your last day to take any, that would make you on Day 4 of withdrawals. You are in the "thick" of it. I know you feel like a "nut case" cause I did, too.
She works her *** off in the college nursing program so that we can have a good life together. And I am completely letting her down. She is worried sick about me all the time and she has too much riding on her studying and working. I need to get better. Will I? I have no motivation or drive, no energy. Its hard for me to even eat. I feel so hungry but the food in my mouth makes me feel naucious. Does anyone else know what im talking about?
Valium (or another benzodiazepine such as Klonopin, Librium, Ativan or Xanax). Of these, Valium and Klonopin are best suited for tapering since they come in tablet form. Librium is also an excellent detox benzo, but comes in capsules, making it hard to taper the dose. Ativan or Xanax should only be used if you can't get one of the others. 2. Imodium (over the counter, any drug or grocery store). 3. L-Tyrosine (500 mg caps) from the health food store. 4.
I was really pouring my heart out, sharing my story of how I became addicted to Lortab and I hit some button (can't tell which one) and my entire post was gone - vanished! So now, in addition to going through my very first withdrawal from Lortab, being depressed, anxious and altogether pissed off at life in general, my creative attempts to bring some humor to my ****ed up life has ended in a technical error. Oh well. I will save all of my previous drama and get to the point.
but, theoredically 1 Ativan a day absoluty should not stop your lortab w/d.

yeh the buzzing in the feet came with the stoping of the lortab.....and decrease in the valium, the valium is taken at night for a muscle relaxant for my neck.
and i have xanax too, plenty of refills since i did not ever take it but i hear it helps with the w/d so i've been taking 1/4mg/day for the w/d from lortab. and i weened down to 5mg paxil and now none. and my old dr gave me lexapro so i take that for the depression for now. intend to get off it entirely in a week or so. i wish i could just check myself in somewhere but i don't have insurance and i make too much not working to be 'poor' enough to qualify for free help! go figure....
can you go 5days w/out any lortabs and than take a lortab and still count as being done? or you have to start all over w/the whole thing and w/draws .Hubby said it all out of system if you wait 4-6 hours between i don't think thats true.I was having a migraine bad and he said it would be ok I do not know???

I woke up with an anxiety level I've never experienced, pain all over my body, foggy brain and pounding heart and did not sleep much that night. Sunday, (day 13) I woke up and once again felt pretty good all day. Last night around 6pm a little anxiety did return, started running a fever and then some depression set in but for the most part all of it was tollerable. Today is day 14.
b/c I could feel the spinning sensation in my head at times in my sleep. SCARY. I called my Dr. and said that the ativan isnt working much anymore... and if I could switch over to Klonopin (I had some up in a cabinet) he said NO PROBLEM... just not too much. He said he wasnt worried about me getting addicted. Which I DON'T have an addictive personality at all. One day of feeling off balance I decided to try a .5mg klonopin... and guess what? The OFF BALANCE feeling LEFT.
Hi, I am on day 11 off of Lortab and overall I feel pretty good. Last weekend, days 5 & 6, I started having pretty bad anxiety, maybe a panic attack or two. I couldn't get settled all weekend. A friend of mine finally gave me a .25 xanax and it slightly took the edge off. By Monday morning I was in such a panic that I almost went to the ER. Fortunately, I was able to call my dr. and get a prescription for 1mg Ativan called in.
I have also heard that day 2-3 are the worst, but I thought I would have had more problems. I have been given ativan for anxiety and depression med is being weined off and Prozac started and put on buspar for maintenance for anxiety. She also is giving me non-narcotic meds for my back pain. Flushed my bottle with no problem and I do not have any more.I have gotten my husband and my mom involved so they know exactly what is going on.
I only had three 10mg Lortab left and I spaced them throughout the day with Ativan and that was that. All gone. There has been some anger, chills and anxiety, but not much more than that.
Hi kyjobr, it's actually lortab is what I was speaking of when I said lt's, I'm just worried, because if something is in front of me, I'm probably going to take it, however, I have a small prescription left over of the lortab, and I don't want to touch them, which is why I was prescribed the valium, but as you said I don't want to get myself stuck on that either, what to do...
Still hurt. Then when time took another lortab with an ativan. That dulled it. *****. Best we can figure is that I made chili out of all canned beans or weather change. I'm wondering about the canned food though b/c that's happened b4.
ativan and klonopin are both benzodiazepines. I almost died from a seizure brought on by abrupt discontinuence of ativan. Save your son by taking him to another doctor right away. A first year med student would know you can't abruptly stop benzos. Drinking sure as hell is not the answer. Good luck.
oh yea and lortab is a lil less strong as percs its usually 10/650 has alot of tylenol in it.
I know when I had dental work done, they gave me Lortab 10s and I didn't feel a thing! They could have given me a piece of peppermint and it would have done the same thing. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Methadone blocks those opiate receptors so no opiates can give you that euphoria anymore. Sounds like there may be something else going on. Not making assumptions. Please let me know how everything's going. Haven't heard from you in a while.
