ativan and lortab

Hi Kim, Is it possible to get another refill, or maybe switch to a long acting benzo like Valium and slowly taper off. I went through Ativan a few years back, was on it a short time, and shocked at the problems it created. If you go the Valium route try to get off quickly. I'm on day 2 off Norco, had to use Valium and Clonidine. Have to get off the Valium soon. I also stopped Prozac C/T 3 weeks ago. Used it for migraine prevention but I hate the side effects.

my pain managment dr put me on new pain med called, nucynta, and has taken me off of lortab that i had been on for 4 year's and taking 6 a day, 2nd day off of them and thanks to my dr has me on prestique, ativan,librax and all ready had been taking flexarill. now i have had dihrrea realy bad, how long does this last? i was thinking since nucynta was stronger and a opiate that i would not have withdraw's??? can someone tell me how long this will last?

I think someone I care about is addicted to Lortab. They take the 10/500's and average 13 of them in 24 hours. They are also taking Tramadol 50 mg and ambien, and ativan. Don't you think that 13 a day is a little excessive? They do have chronic pain, but really now is that much really necessary? RX is for 1 every 6 hours.

Hello Im sure u are all familaar with me well the dr had me stop the xanax today and go back on ativan after a month on xanx i had been on ativan for 4 months before she stopped it So i took 1/2 mg of ativan at 9 am and felt some confusion and i made it till 2 pm proberly not long enough and i toom another 1/2 mg of ativan about one hour later my head statred hurting and cheeks kinda felt like burning and my fingers felt funny and the right side of face felt kinda numb so at 5 pm i took anotehr

I convinced my Dr., to write me a script for Clonadine? And An, anti-anxiety medicine, Ativan. Later I learned Ativan is a horrible drug to get off of too. But luckily for me I was Never Dependent on this drug. I do now believe a large part of w/d is mental. Since I was Never "attached" to Ativan, quitting 2,3,4 mg a day was absolutely nothing for me. Back to the story... At your dosage, I tapered 2 times. Each time I tapered, it was not hard.

oh yea and lortab is a lil less strong as percs its usually 10/650 has alot of tylenol in it.

I was taking ambien and then ativan but both are addicting and I need to sleep on my own (I hate taking all the other meds) even when I do take them, if I happen to fall asleep I wake up every 30min or hour, and am always in a cold sweat. I feel like crap always. Insomnia is the worst!

Finally On the 3rd month started to feel better, and then I came down with parvovirus, which caused me to have horrible headaches and body aches. My doctor prescribed me Lortab. I felt horrible so I took them. Well now I'm addicted to them again for 6 months! I can't live like this anymore! So today I will start my taper. Back at day one! I feel like such a loser for falling for this drug again!! I'm scared but I know God will help me.

Clonadine like Ativan? I just took .75mg of Ativan. I was being mind ( and body) ****** too hard by these wd,s this time. Almost to the point of taking a half perc just to try to wean or somethig. Man it's bad this time around.

I tried to stopp last night cause thats practically nothing and I got elevated heart rate and blood preasure was 150/90 and I felt kinda dizzy......Oh and during these months I have had numerous blood tests tons of EKG and 2 24 hour halter monitors plus an ultrasound of my heart all which come back normal....Any advice or wisdom for me I want off this drug and i'm practically down to crumbs.....

i went in for a sinus infection and took an antibiotic and the next day i was psychotic..went back to ER and they gave ativan...i thought it was the ativan but come to find out that ANTIBIOTICS CAUSE SEVERE ANXIETY!!i found this out the hard way and now i know that my anxiety didnt start until december 15 after my first round of antibitics...i knew it was not only the lortab...i knew something was wrong...the other day i checked into the psych ward after i was mental and shaking uncontrollably..

Lortab (Hydrocodone APAP 10/500, as needed for pain), Ativan (Lorazepam .5 milligrams, as needed for breakthrough seizures & sudden onset myoclonic seizure activity), Phenergan (Promethazine 12.5 milligrams, as needed for nausea), & Antivert (Meclizine, 12.5 milligrams that I take while having a bout of Ménière's). I also have mild insomnia, which I treat with a very low dose of Valerian Root, or Melatonin.

My pain mgmt dr and i had a long talk about sage meds and he pulled out several books and backed it all up with research...i wouldnt take the lortab...

I cant take the ativan or xanax and it was making me suicidal....seriously...i am calling them today...i cant take any more meds...

25 in the am and pm for only five days and then i went to er a couple days ago and they gave me one mg of freaking ativan !!i hate it ..it makes me throw up and the xanax is too short acting...i want off all of them because i feel like they have been making me sick for months...can i just stop the xanax after taking it for six days and start the valium..i took 1 mg of valium today and i am panicking already..i am scared to take to much..lst time i tookm xanax was yesterday at 6 PM...

Is it possible cause my idiot doctor told me to take that ativan to help with the W/Ds off the lortab, that this is enhancing my nervous system more. OR is it my shoulders causing this pain? I am not taking anymore of the ativan as of 3 days ago. Get electric shocks in my shoulder on right side, and then left hand will tingle. Oh and get this, yesterday the pain was really brutal in my upper arms.

i'm withdrawling off of lortab 8x day cold turkey i ended up having a seziure and the doc prescribed me lorazapan on top of my xanax and seroquel 50mg all 3 times a day to get through the withdrawal symtoms is this truely safe when i have p.t.s.d. n suicidal thoughts?

I've been subscribed hydrocodone and ativan for my pain and panic attacks for 3 yrs., well my Dr. has retired and I'm left without,,,, guess what,,,,,,,, I'm withdrawing and have been for about 2 wks. now, having flu like symptoms, weakness, nauseaus,diarhea, convulsions, ...... seem to be getting a little better, but how long is this going to last, got to work, can't have the "flu" forever, any help out there?

I'm on day 4 of my detox and I have to tell you guys I feel better. I was supposed to work tonight ( I'm a server at a restauraunt) but I called in sick becuase I thought it was too soon. My problem still is the sleeping I mix about .5 Ativan with 5mg Ambien and I'll sleep for 5-6 hours and than I'm up any advice. I was on Norcos 6 a day for 4 months do you guys think my w/d process will be quicker than others?

My doc just put me on this , I have been on Vicodin for a very long time, along with Ativan, Ambien(Im off Ambien now), Robaxin, formerly on Oral Morphine. Chronic back pain and depression from this condtion. New to site and would love some info from others. Thanks!

For example, Vicodin can be 5mg of hydro and 500mg of tylenol as can Lortab. Or Vicodin can be 10mg of hydro and 325 mg of tylenol and so can Lortab. So they only way one will be stronger than the other as if the Vicodin was 5/500 and the Lortab is 10/325. I hope I have been clear in anwsering your question. If I haven't been please let me know.

I havent really ever taken benzos, EVER except over the last couple weeks at the ER and so forth and they gave me like 12 xanax. I hate ativan. It made me nuts. I hate xanax too!I just want to be normal.

For me, I started taking Lortab for Fibromyalgia and then I found that St. John’s Wort and Magnesium taken together eased the pain better than anything else and so I went off the Lortab (as well as Lyrica). But, I have had right shoulder pain for a couple years now and kept putting off having anything done with it – it was never convenient. Finally, my family doctor had to put me on Lortab for the pain. She also attempted cortisone injections which did not work.

I am 20 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl (had CVS and level II ultrasound.) Everything looks great. My OB has prescribed lortab for migraines and a neck dystonia (which was previously treated with Botox - but not now due to the pregnancy.) My question is at low levels of lortab -- less than 10Mg a day (and some days with nothing) would it be safe to assume that the chances of withdrawl or low? Should I stop taking completely a month before due date?

I took my .5 mg ativan and one benadryl for stuffy nose. Now wide awake and have to be up to work in 2 hours. Has this ever happened to anyone?? I also take my 12.5 zoloft in morning will this make me more jittery??

Eventually I got sick of being on every anti-anxiety med in the book that I started taking ativan, vicoden, and oxycontin which eventually progressed into heroin. "Self-medicating" is what it's called, and although you're not abusing right now - that's the road you're headed down. What you're going through is stressful, but the pills that are helping you now will eventually take over your life.

s ran out I started to give her NSAIDS and Tylenol to help with pain. First day without the Lortab she was back in the ER with severe pain. She was given in the ER another 4mg Morphine with no relief and the 2 mg Dilaudid IV and went home crying in pain. Over night that night she was getting 4mg Diluadid basically every 2 hours Still wide awake crying in pain.She was admitted back to the hospital the next morning for pain control. Which she has gotten none.
