Avatar n tn Pai I 5g/5g; HPA 1 1a/1a; ACE del/del;F XIII homo V34L; Beta Fibr. Hetero 455G>A. Fibrinogen (now): 11,8. I 'm a little positive to ASMA (1:40), and I have, sometimes, erythema, so i take also prednisone. I'm sure that I find causes of my miscarriages, but I'm searching for studies or news/statistics about my situation, specially about mthfr homo A1298C, because there are many confusion ...So I ask: Is my condition actually miscarriage's cause?
Avatar f tn Hello, I am a 58-year old woman of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. I have never had cancer, my Mother is alive and well at age 80 and has never had cancer and my Grandmother never had cancer during her lifetime. They both had hysterectomies in their forties due to large fibroid tumors which I never experienced (I've always attributed that to the fact that I was on the birth control pill for over 15 years). My fraternal twin sister had a hysterectomy in her early 40's for the same reason.
Avatar m tn I do believe if your mom had certain mutations and then transferred HBV to you the mutations (and genotype) transfer. The virus/immune system reaction can also make new mutations along the way. So, your mom may or may not have the same as you, if you've made new ones. Your mutations are common in escape hbeag negative viral load above 2,000 iu/ml, genotype C (taken from your other post data).

Avatar m tn hi,my 11 yo son has (MTHFR_677 , MTRR_66 , MTR_2756 ) heterozygious mutations, the Doctor has discriped folic acid, but i have read that it is wrong to take folic acid in this case, i do not know what to do. He has normal MTHFR_1298, protein c 108%, protein s 106%, antithrombin III(AT-III)105%, factor v leiden 2.
2046312 tn?1360379600 The interaction has also been reported with atazanavir/ritonavir. A case series describes three patients who experienced excessive opiate effects of buprenorphine during concomitant antiretroviral therapy with atazanavir, ritonavir, and various nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Two of the patients had been on their antiretroviral regimen for several months and reported doped-up feeling, dizziness, and feeling high following initiation of buprenorphine 8 mg/day.
Avatar m tn Since they started doing vaccinations in 1992, they have seen hbv mutations escape the vaccine. Since so many chronic carriers are on NUCS and hbeag - and have mutations, will the vaccine cease to start working in the near future? For example if I carry a core promoter and precore mutation and I am in immune escape phase, will my sons vaccination work? Below is the article. http://truthstreammedia.
Avatar m tn My wife recently found out she has 3 mutations on her TNN ?genome/sequence? She was born with a muscle myopathy, and has heart an respiratory issues. If you do have a TNN mutation I am looking for 3 things: -a link to a "normal" TNN sequence -What health issues do you currently experience? -where in the sequence is your mutation?
8377023 tn?1399509160 s a chance your baby is predisposed to it. There are a certain set of mutations that have to occur in the DNA to get cancer. If a parent passes down a part of that set then the child has fewer mutations they have to gain in order to have that type of cancer. this is what it means to be predisposed. You don't know if it was him or the mother or neither that passed the mutations to his first child. Don't stress over it.
Avatar f tn There is a chance you're negative, of course! Are you Ashkenazi Jewish by any chance? Did you get the specific mutation that your Aunt has and supply that to Myriad? It is my understanding that in people of Jewish descent, the majority of BRCA 1 and BRCA 2 mutations are found in one of 3 common spots along the gene. Because of the prevalence of these 3 specific mutations, they usually start by testing for those 3 common mutations first.
Avatar m tn Lamivivar is not an hbv therapy any more, drug is cheap but makes very dangerous hbv mutations, how long is she under lam? add tenofovir as soon as possible comboing with lam one month and then discontinue, make mutation test for lamivudine resistance.
Avatar m tn This led only to a temporary HBV DNA decline which soon was followed by viral breakthrough despite the lack of known entecavir resistance mutations. Patient died after 9 months of entecavir treatment from liver failure. A total of 434 clones from 6 different serum samples were analysed retrospectively. HBV genomes bearing mutation patterns suggestive of antiviral resistance were analysed by in vitro phenotyping assay.
Avatar m tn will virals and und dna suppress to mutations to act if there was no mutations?
Avatar n tn I realize I am asking a few loaded questions, but what is currently being done to keep pace with COVID mutations? How can we control such mutations in different areas, such as South America, Europe, and Africa? I realize that viruses can adapt to different environments, but is there any way to keep such mutations from occurring that are harmful to humans? Is there any way for the virus to mutate to become harmless?
Avatar f tn Well, as far as I know, there are certain patterns of gene mutations associated with certain diseases, especially cancers. Being a pattern means that the mutations are not random. Some patterns of abnormality might be associated with the very early stage of a cancer. BUT having that pattern does not mean that a cancer will necessarily develop. There might be statistics available for certain cancers and certain "non random" patterns in chromosomes.
