446474 tn?1446347682 * Boceprevir reduced average trough concentrations of ritonavir-boosted atazanavir (Reyataz), lopinavir (Kaletra), and darunavir (Prezista) by 49%, 43% and 59%, respectively. * On average, reductions of 25% to 36% were seen in peak concentration of the three drugs, when given with boceprevir, along with declines of 34% to 44% in exposure (area under the curve).
Avatar m tn 1. Can the heart rate or blood pressure depends on lipids or glucose level in blood? 2. Can lipids or glucose level in blood be increased by stress?
Avatar n tn Hi, Hyperlipidemia is increased fats or lipids in the bloodstream. Fatty molecules are transported in a protein capsule, and the density of the lipids and type of protein determines the fate of the particle and its influence on metabolism. This condition may be a risk factor for cardiovascular disease or acute pancreatitis. You can read ore about this through this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlipidemia Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn My husband recently got back test results with high "lipids". He has been taking fish oils. Can this raise the overall lipids? Also, he ate ice cream the day before the test...can this affect the result so much?
2046312 tn?1360379600 The interaction has also been reported with atazanavir/ritonavir. A case series describes three patients who experienced excessive opiate effects of buprenorphine during concomitant antiretroviral therapy with atazanavir, ritonavir, and various nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors. Two of the patients had been on their antiretroviral regimen for several months and reported doped-up feeling, dizziness, and feeling high following initiation of buprenorphine 8 mg/day.
Avatar f tn What are lipids high cholesterol or low I have unually low cholesterol
Avatar m tn It is common to see changes with different things controlled by the liver. I wouldn't worry about it. My lipids actually got better during tx.
Avatar m tn I am a 52 year old Engineer and Gym Rat who works out regularly, runs at least three days per week, has a body fat percentage of 14.1% and has always had great lipids. My HDL's have always been in the high 50's to 60's range. Yesterday I had a finger prick lipid test and while my LDL's all came back at the same great levels they always have been, my HDL's have absolutely tanked. They came in at 22!
Avatar n tn m not even sure if there are lipids capable. If there are, something has to signal the lipids to do a cleaning exercise, but nothing does. It just seems nuts that such a complex immune system can't handle fat.
Avatar n tn Yes, that is getting some attention as we speak.........found a Dr. that is willing to try NP thyroid............
212161 tn?1599427282 First of all saturated fats were blamed, then sugars, then other things. It seems to me that the most logical cause is the very small lipids which are sticky and can fit into the damaged walls of arteries. So perhaps a detailed lipid profile on your blood would help? The tiny sticky lipids do seem to be produced by the Liver when we consume lots of processed sugar.

Avatar n tn For others a proper diet and exercise can be effective and no need for medication...My lipids are within the normal range without medication, but the doctor wants the lipids as low as possible due to a history of heart problems. The very low levels are sanctioned by the guidelines of AAC/AHA. To answer your question, if you have a history of CAD, you may want to follow the quidelines unless there are adverse side effects that can't be tolerated.
Avatar n tn I was told about a year ago that my liver lipids are higher than they should be and my mom and sister also have both had their gallbladders removed. I have been having a lot of diarrhea, indigestion, and pain in my back on the right in the middle. It's sort of a dull ache and can feel sharp at times. Could this be related to my liver or my gall bladder? I don't really have any pain in my stomach just my back.
Avatar f tn If you are younger than 65 you should have your blood lipids (cholesterol and triglycerides) checked.
Avatar m tn Healthful diet, exercise and medication to keep lipids within the normal range or lower.
1398693 tn?1343684738 LDL is just half the story. It is known there are different LDL lipids, a large light one which is too big to get trapped in arteries, and a much smaller heavier LDL which causes the damage. Unfortunately everytime I have a lipid profile done, they just list LDL which includes both as a total. Meaningless really. My Doctor said there is not a system developed which can count the individual cell types, so just the total is given.
Avatar n tn While there are a few reports floating around the internet that claim regression of plaque has been observed, every cardiologist I've seen has never observed this. They have seen the odd few who have stopped progression. From what I understand, there is nothing in the blood to mop up pure fat. Fat cannot be dissolved in water and blood is mostly water, and this is why fat starts off inside lipids to transport it, and has to be moved around the body in lipids.
Avatar f tn //www.koreabiomed.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=633 Gilead's clinical trial experience information seems to support that as compared to Viread, with Vemlidy increases in LDL and triglycerides were experienced (see Table 3). Apparently with Viread, individuals experienced positive lipid side effects (decreased LDL and triglycerides). https://www.gilead.com/~/media/files/pdfs/medicines/liver-disease/vemlidy/vemlidy_pi.pdf?la=en http://www.rxlist.com/vemlidy-drug.
