I’m late answering this but i was diagnosed with strep even though i suspected mono but the doctor put me on amoxicillin anyways. I had taken seven days of amoxicillin feeling the sickest i had ever felt but developed no rash so the doctor didn’t worry. After 7 days of being on amoxicillin my throat finally felt better and i did not feel sick anymore. I went to sleep that night and woke up at 5am itching and had developed a full body rash over night.
For my entire life I have always gotten a facial rash after sex. When I was younger it was just a few red dots around my eyes, something that could be easily covered with makeup. In the past 3 or 4 months it has gotten much worse, looking like black eyes around the outer part of my eye orbits and a rash that covers my entire forehead, and cheeks. I was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer and have finished my course of antibiotics, however I'm still on Prevacid. I developed a rash on my forehead about two days into treatment, and it's still there. I thought at first it was the Amoxicillin, but I finished that about a week ago, and the rash is still there. Could the rash be from Prevacid?
Was it your gallbladder that contributed to your rash? I'm about to have mine removed and have a rash over one eye and under the other. I'd love to know if yours is gone.
I have psoriases and for as long As I can remember my pubic area itches like crazy and in the summer I can't keep it dry and I develop an intense rash in the pubic folds and terrible itching around my anus. I am to ashamed to see a doctor about these issues and these areas. The pubic rash gets so bad that it gets painful to walk. Anyone else out there with these issues especially anyone with psoriases?

Hi all, recently I am having some rash on my chest and body. Before this, one month ago I have two encounter anal sex with someone at a dufferet time and both I was wearing a condom. The first one I ejaculate out of the body. The second one I ejaculate inside with a condom. I was afraid it may leak out from the outer barrier. And I have recieve unprotected oral sex too. I am now taking doxycycline which was for my acne and I want to know if it will cure syphilis if touch wood I got it.
It was the Hydroxyzine oral that finally got the itching and rash under control. I started on a lower dose but the rash and itching were not controlled until I was on 50 mg every 6 hours.
Call your doctor or go to an urgent care facility ASAP and get some orders for prescription medication for the itching (and rash if you have one). The over the counters are not strong enough.

I also had a burning sensation on the head of the penis so she prescribed two creams, one for the rash and one for inflammation. So I applied the cream and by the next day or so the rash was gone. But the burning sensation persisted. The rash appeared 6 days after the encounter. It's been a week since my doctor visit and now I still feel burning in my penis head, but now my testicles look really red and I get a tingling sensation with a slight burn.
A little more than two weeks go by and I begin getting a low grade fever that was hovering between 99.0 and 99.8 and was getting a light rash on my cheaks; this lasted for about two weeks. At one month after exposure, I went to my doctor, whom performed a broad panel of tests (HIV antibody, Syphilis, Hepatitis) and all came back negative. The fever went away, but it seemed like the rash was still there. Concerned, I took a home HIV antibody test at 1.5 months -- negative result.
I went thru this painful bleeding rash on my arms and legs for years..ugh its just awful. Went to every skin Dr and they were stumped..well I just had thyroid surgery to remmove toxic nodule and half my thyroid...guess what? The rash is finally clearing up all by it self now! Yaaaaay! Tell you Dr about it and insist you get your thyroid treated..myself I recomend the surgery over the radiation. A litter more painful but much safer esp for those of us with thyroid rash!
It is starting to fade and I can tell the rash from the Petechiae by the color when I press. The rash is the inside area of the shin and about 3 inches wide but goes from the ankle to the knee. It was very itchy but now has stopped.
My G/P sent me for blood work, have not got the results, cbc, metabolic panel and I think the letters were iGE. I know the platelet count is in there somewhere also.
