Well, I know you were on the PPI but have you tried something more simple like Tagamet or Pepcid? I can't take PPI as it GIVES me gastric pains but the others control my heartburn when I've had it chronically. Try it and see. But it does sound like you will need to see your doctor. I thought if I was on one PPI and then changed to another there should be less time for the new PPI to be effective.

What drug is the PPI 668? Is it a nucleotide like the 7977 and 938? Do you mind me asking what your genotype is? And, have you treated before?

I was diagnosed with H pylori last Monday, been taking the antibiotics and ppi. felt like I was feeling better till I started to have severe constipation. both antibiotics say may cause diarrhea so why am I so constipated.

Just finished 3 month course (40mg a day for month 1 and 20mg a day for months 2 and 3) - finished on Friday, heartburn and discomfort back on sunday!

I seem to have improved since taking the pills,but I can still feel some reflux now and then.I lost about 10 pounds and have changed my diet drastically,but was wondering if I should double up on my ppi or possible try another one that would help me better??
