astelin nose spray

ve been seeing an allergist because my allergies have really bothered me this year. He prescribed a medicine that is a nasal spray called Astelin. I hope I don't seem 'weird' asking his but have any of you been on one of these type of nasal sprays while having Hep C? If so, did you feel worse using the spray? I've been on it two days and it's making the area of my liver hurt and also in between my shoulder blades.

A quick trip to the doctor and I was told that I had some kind of nasty allergic reaction which clogged my sinuses, gave me a post nasal drip which in turn caused the sore throat and asthma to act up. She prescribed Astelin, a nasal spray antihistamine and described the allergic reaction as a sort of systemic thing and that the astelin should clear it all up. That was Wednesday. I've been using it as told since then and I've only really noticed a very very slight improvement.

ve also been taking Atenolol and spraying copious amount of Astelin nasal spray up my nose several times in the evening and at night. I have even been letting it run down the back of my throat and swallowing it because it's the only thing that makes me feel at least somewhat relaxed and sleepy. However, I have begun to wonder if the Astelin and/or Atenolol might be actually aggravating my anxiety symptoms and making me feel worse.

Nope, no explanation. I wish I could ask questions there but I totally freeze up because I get extremely nervous. Then I try to come on here and get answers. I'm frustrated having to deal with this and I'm sure you are as well. This will be day 2 on the steroids and the Astelin nasal spray. No improvement yet but I'm trying to be patient. My doctor said they were going to refer me to an ENT if this hadn't resolved in 2 weeks. How long has this been going on for you?

I feel your pain. I have had chronic sinusitis for probably 25 years. I was a smoker and all of the doctors said what can you expect, you are a smoker. I quit 20 years ago and the chronic sinusitis never let up. I have had the classic allergy tests and gone in for shots 3x per week and that did nothing. I have gone to a dozen allergists and they have tried sprays and medicine that work for a month and assumed that I had asthma which none of the treatments work.

Yes I tried Astelin, with all the thick post nasal drainage and my eyes get watery, well after I use the Astelin at night, I wake up in the morning and my eyes are not watery but they almost look like the tear film thickened up over my eyes as well as making the post nasal drainage thicker. I think seriously that I have tried EVERY nasal spray that was ever invented. My doctor even had a pharmacy make up a special nose spray for me .

have had post nasal drip as long as I can remember. I am a 52 yr old mail, 5'9", 195lbs. My PND gummed up the back of my throat enough in July of this year to wake me everytime I nod off. I am now on sleep medication, clonazepam, Lunesta, now but which is barely working, Atavan is better and I can sleep but sedatives cannot be taken forever and this PND doesn't seem to be going away.

would a nasal spray help with the clicking and head aches and feeling of a full head and ear??

My allergist says my underlying problem all along has been allergic rhinitis, and she has put me on Nasonex and Astelin, besides given me instructions on 'dust-proofing' my bedroom. I'm an otherwise healthy 30 y/o male with no previous history of allergies or any serious/chronic illness. I recently also had a blood test, which was normal except for slightly elevated Lymphocytes. My question: Can allergic rhinitis present without coughing, runny/congested nose and itchy eyes?

I wake up often in the night needing the nose spray and my doctor has said I have got no allergies (I have been tested) and has not been of any help, it is so hard to put up with this as I feel constantly drained and can't last very long without needed more of the decongestant. Any ideas or help?

t say exactly what the problem was, but she sprayed my inner wrist with al albutuerol spray and it felt as if i had been stung by a bee, an d it raised a nickel sized welt. two weeks later i still have a slight mark on my skin. now i'm worried that i had permanent damage when i used combivent and albuterol a few months ago. A warm salt-water gargle is recommended for a sore throat. Throat drops, spray, or lozenges are acceptable. A cool air vaporizer may help you sleep at night. Increased fluid intake and getting sufficient rest are essential. If your nasal or throat drainage changes from a clear color, please call the office.

Good post! I have been addicted to afrin nose spay off and on for over 10 years.I too have bad allergies. I can't not stand my nose stuffed up at all. My grandpa , dad, and brother all have been addicted to 4-way nose spray. They don't seem to plan on stopping. I am currently using the afrin nose spray again b/c I got sick and had a stuffed up nose. I also can't sleep with my nose just a little stuffed up.

Can one experience "late-phase" allergy symptoms like malaise, fatigue, headaches, Eustachian tube dysfunction etc. without EVER experiencing "early-phase" symptoms like runny nose, itchy eyes etc. ? I do occasionally have a scratchy throat, but this is very seldom. I have been experiencing these "late-phase" symptoms for several months now, and was recently diagnosed (via skin ***** test) with allergic rhinitis to dust mites and pollen.

I am suffering seriously from stuffy nose- I can't breath! I am using nasivin nose spray but I am worried that it's not safe for the baby. Anyone in similar situation and what are you doing to get relief?

s plugged again and then I have to spray the afrin up my nostril again. I do have allergies, like running nose and itchy eye. My nose been plugged before but it was NOT this bad.

I have a runny nose 12 months of the year. I take cortisone nose spray and anti histamine tablets to no avail. I have had allergy tests that have come back negative but food allergy tests have come back with a number of food allergies. Could a food allergy cause a runny nose?

some of that deodorant from my nose and mouth enter to my body. if because of any reason some blood or sexual liquid of her(i know it is unusual but with accepting this) entered to this deodorant spray in the past and the virus og hiv remain in it and then after she sprayed it the viruses entere to my body(for example from a small hurt in my skin) and infect me. is there any risk of hiv?
