nasonex

Avatar m tn would a nasal spray help with the clicking and head aches and feeling of a full head and ear??
Avatar f tn In May, I went to the doctor - he said I had a ton of fluid behind my ears and he thought it was being caused by a sinus infection. He prescribed antibiotics (Z-Pak) and Nasonex. At the time I was having some congestion, ear pain/ache at random times and when I would chew/open my mouth. After taking the antibiotics for a couple days I could feel a ton of fluid sloshing back in my ears when I would move my head side to side.
Avatar n tn Can one experience "late-phase" allergy symptoms like malaise, fatigue, headaches, Eustachian tube dysfunction etc. without EVER experiencing "early-phase" symptoms like runny nose, itchy eyes etc. ? I do occasionally have a scratchy throat, but this is very seldom. I have been experiencing these "late-phase" symptoms for several months now, and was recently diagnosed (via skin ***** test) with allergic rhinitis to dust mites and pollen.
Avatar f tn I have taken Astelin before being cured of hepatitis C. Astelin doesn't produce serious side effects like you are claiming. Your symptoms maybe connected to hepatitis C but very much doubt it's connect to Astelin and Hepatitis C. Regardless, I can tell you that I experience nothing like what you are suggesting while taking Astelin.
Avatar f tn After battling ear and sinus trouble for 4-5 months I'm finally going to an ENT next week. I've taken antibiotics 4 times, used Nasonex and also Astelin, and took a Medrol Dosepak. Still, my ears -- mainly my right one bothers me. On the side of my face (right side), ear/jaw area, it hurts when I yawn, smile, and sometimes just swallowing causes discomfort. Also, I'll sometimes get sharper twinges of pain in my left ear. Both ears make popping sounds everytime I swallow.
Avatar n tn My allergist says my underlying problem all along has been allergic rhinitis, and she has put me on Nasonex and Astelin, besides given me instructions on 'dust-proofing' my bedroom. I'm an otherwise healthy 30 y/o male with no previous history of allergies or any serious/chronic illness. I recently also had a blood test, which was normal except for slightly elevated Lymphocytes. My question: Can allergic rhinitis present without coughing, runny/congested nose and itchy eyes?
Avatar f tn You might try to get in with your primary and see if he/she will prescribe some thing like Nasonex and/or Astepro. Nasonex is a nasal steroid which reduces inflammation of the sinus passages and therefore reduces allergy symptoms. There are many other name brands for that class of medicine. Astepro is a nasal spray antihistamine. It stops the sinus cells from reacting to allergens. There are only two meds in this category. Astepro and Patanase.
Avatar n tn Here are my symptoms; if anyone has any helpful advice, I would be really grateful: Shortness of breath. Trouble getting a full breath/filling my lungs. Went from being an avid athlete and runner to barely being able to walk up and down stairs - all in one week. Nasal congestion. Throat congestion/mucus feeling, particulary when outdoors or immediately after eating, accompanied by a deep cough, which doesn't really produce any mucus. No problems while sleeping.

Avatar f tn I have allergies and just figured out that I have postnasal drip, ear drainage issues, and stomach issues due to the mucus.. I wonder will Singular work with this ? The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use? Thank you for your time !!!
Avatar f tn m on Zyrtec, Singulair, Benadryl, Advair, Flonase, Astelin, Mucinex and STILL have drainage and chest/nasal congestion. Feeling rundown and tired and want to get over this. This is the second time I've been through somethine like this in 2011. Any advice would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar n tn I just started using Nasonex (steroid nasal spray), and it really helps my allergies and sinus headache, and eye-related sinus problems. But I also have PVCs and my heart pounds a lot (can feel it in my head, back, etc). I'm wondering whether Nasonex is safe to take long term if I have these heart issues. Doctor just shrugged his shoulders when I asked. Anyone know?
Avatar n tn Hello, I have been taking Nasonex for 5 months now and starting 10 days ago, I started experiencing weird sensation in the left area of my chest, it would only happen 3 to 6 times a day and it would feel like someone just tapped the someone of my chest with a finger or two, after 3 or 4 days experiencing this, I just completly stopped using Nasonex and have been off Nasonex for 5 days and 11 hours now.
Avatar m tn s what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun. Very clever, taking advantage of peoples' medical conditions.
Avatar m tn I know that many cold remedies have Phenedrine and/or other stimlulants and I am wondering if any Afib patients out there take Nasonex or Flonase wihtout any problems.
Avatar n tn Started on Rhinochort in October-went to Nasonex, it worked better. Tried to discontinue medications in Feb and he had immediate symptoms again - returned to it. For the most part, both medications have resolved his symptoms. I did notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age. Live in notice over the last year he has been moodier/yells at us/crys over little things - but attributed to his age.
Avatar n tn I have also been on a regimen of Nasonex and other sorts of nasal sprays that you need a prescription for. Once again, I saw temporary relief only to have the symptoms return. This summer (and now September) of 2008 has been really bad. (I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained.
Avatar n tn I've had such a tough time with sinus headaches, allergies (watery eyes, plugged ears and tinnitus) and fatigue that I finally went to an ear-nost-throat doctor last week. He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Avatar m tn The momthasone is in VERY low doses and is delivered exactly where it is needed, and used. Very little if any of this medication will make it into your body to start with. Them methylprednisolone is an oral steroid. You are wise to be concerned about it. You are on a very low dose of that (for oral steroids) though and for a short time. I can't tell you how long it will stay in your system, but your should not experience any side effects from this very limited exposure.
Avatar m tn But afterwards, I had methylprednisolone and momethasone/nasonex as prescribed by my doctor. I have read in the internet that both are corticosteroid and acts like immunosuppresant? I will only take methylprednisolone 16 mg twice a day for 5 days only and momethasone/nasonex (500 mcg/g) two sprays a day for 1 month. I am worrying that it may affect my hiv test result in my 6th month? can they delay antibodies to show up or something?
