arthrotec

Avatar f tn I am going to see a specialist. My family doctor put me on arthrotec 75 mg. which does help with the pain. I can now move my arms without horrible pain. I am supposed to take it twice a day but it is unbelievable the cost of this stuff. Is that something they use for Fibro ? Any of this type medication has bad side effects.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Emergency contraception is almost 80-85% effective if taken between 24-48 hours and 50-55% effective if taken between 48-72 hours.Headache, dizziness, breast tenderness and vaginal bleeding are the common side effects of taking emergency contraceptive pills. A few women may experience light bleeding in the days after taking Postinor-2. This is not a normal period and is nothing to worry about. If the bleeding is persistent or severe consult a gynecologist. Hope it helps.
Avatar f tn s messed up because you took multiple doses of the emergency contraceptive. If you check out the side effects from it it tells you what it can do. The side effects include (but are not limited to) nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, abdominal cramping, headache, backache, spotting, irregular bleeding, and your cycle could come earlier/later than normal and be heavier/lighter than normal.
1129232 tn?1360800358 anyone taking progesterone suppositiories get side effects? i was fine the first couple of days but now i'm feeling lethargic, extreme fatigue, always hungry and a little bit of off and on nausea. AT first i was thinking - could this be pregnancy symptoms already but i think it's probably from the progesterone. UGH! this is awful.
Avatar n tn i took it to be on the safe side also recommended by a nurse that i take it to be sure, but i am getting ovulation pains that i would get every month, although im pretty sure they ARE ovulation pains im not 100% certain. just wanted to be sure as i took EC on the 14th day of my cycle and i thought it was suppost to delay ovulation.
Avatar n tn I really don't think there are any contraceptives without side effects other than abstinence and condoms. I've been on 3 different forms of birth control in my life and all have their own side effects, but unless you're really sensitive, none are that bad.
Avatar m tn I had a lot of side effects from the steroids. I had anxiety, acne, weight gain and night sweats and a general crazy feeling. The injections also only lasted me a month. I would not get them again because of the side effects. Also four times a year is way too much. The steroids can cause weakening of the tendons and joints if done too many times in the same spot as well as bone loss.
Avatar f tn Hi! Yes, the morning after pill has plenty of side effects. Emergency contraceptives are a big dose of hormones which is how they work. But then those hormones are in her system and her body has to deal with them. Irregular bleeding for 2 to 3 moths is to be expected. She can take a pregnancy test to make sure she isn't pregnant but this sounds like normal EC side effects to me.
Avatar f tn Of late Iam having many side effects because of the prolonged usage of themedicine like restlessness,,slight giddiness anxiety and gabbraut. The medicine is only to supplement the shortage externally.Do you agree Homeopathy treatment will be advisable.Ihighly value your input.
Avatar f tn Hi... I was diagnosed with ostearthritis & fibromyalgia a few years ago...and have been taking mobic since then, which has worked. About a month ago, the mobic didn't seem to be working as well.. my hands were hurting a lot at work... so I went back to my dr & he changed my medicine to relafen for the osteoarthritis & lyrica for the fibromyalgia. Although the lyrica seems to work, I'm not liking the side effects, puffy hands & feet & eye twitching...
Avatar m tn Wait at least two weeks and test with first morning urine. Keep in mind the side effects caused by EC as well. These can included spotting, a more light/heavy period, missed period, abdominal pain, cramping, sore breasts and fatigue. Also, unless you know this person well and know 150% they're clean, it wouldn't hurt to make sure they don't have any STDs.
Avatar n tn Immediatedly after that i took an Emergency contraceptive pill, i didnt have any side effects of it but after a week or two, my periods started again, they ha occured in the starting of the month, i also suffer from PCO. Problem is am going for an ultrasound and blood test tomorrow,nd am afraid if am pregnant.. i dont want my parents to know, second which i fear is that if i have traces of contraceptive pill found in my blood sample , it could create a problem for me.
Avatar f tn Could I be pregnant or could these be side effects? has anyone had negative tests and still turning out to be pregnant?
466024 tn?1208320081 As far as the Effexor side effects go, the first week or two it really mellows you out and yes, you do sleep a little more, at least it affected me that way. I am now on 75 milgrams and after a couple of weeks you settle into your old routine. Effexor has worked great for me, especially with the racing thoughts and anxiety.
778044 tn?1299542934 What type of side effects have you all experience while taking the Follistim Pen?? Just wondering what is normal, and what is abnormal. I am on 75 IU's... today is my third day of taking the shots. I have noticed a little nausea, and some heachaches. Is this normal and nothing to worry about? Thanks Ladies!!
Avatar n tn If the palps continue to bother you, you might cut back to 62.5 for a couple of weeks, then increase to 75 if you have no side effects. The slow and steady approach usually works best.
701313 tn?1228347713 When I first started taking it, I felt like a zombie, but convinced myself to continue longer, and hope the side effects would subside, as they did. So, for a while, the hot flashes subsided and my moods seemed to be consistent. However... it's been 2 months, and I talked with my doctor. I told her that it seemed to be ok, but the hot flashes are starting back up, and I'm finding myself (quite the social butterfly) wanting to be home, alone, more than out with my friends.
Avatar n tn I've been on armour about a week and half for my hypo and have just recently started to feel some side effects. I've started getting some pains in my chest, it feels like it's right up under my heart, mostly during the night or in the morning. They don't really last long but I definitely notice it when its there. I am also very aware of my heart beat, even though it's not racing and at a normal rate, around the time these happen.
874116 tn?1240368959 You should never use EC the way you did. Its meant for emergencies....like a condom breaking or if you found yourself unexpectedly having intercourse you did not plan on. If you want a break from the pill in the future, use contraceptive foam and condoms. Never use EC. Its not 100% effective--more like 60-70%, depending on when and how you take it. If you keep taking it as you were doing, you're bound to end up pregnant at some point.
Avatar f tn Wow, I think I might actually be allergic to NSAIDs, too. I've been taking them regularly since June, and about a month ago, I added yet another one to my daily routine--aspirin, to prevent strokes. I ran out of Arthrotec last week, which I take for joint pain/swelling, and discovered yesterday that I had one pill left...so I took it, because I had a lot of writing to do for a final exam and didn't want my hands to be killing me all the while...

Avatar f tn tried enbrel, mtx, simponi, mobic, ibuprof. and more. Thinking of cataflam, arthrotec. If something has helped your ra pain pls reply. Narcotics are out I drive for a living. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Emergency contraception pills are around 98-99% effective if taken within the first day. So she should be fine. I will warn you, and have you warn her, they can have nasty side effects. Don't be alarmed if she has cramps, nausea, dizziness, headaches, bloating, fatigue, bowel irregularities, is late on her period, spots randomly, has an excessively long period, or has appetite change.
