Dx is rare. specially on sub clinical Hypo or Hyper thyroidism in men. I believe this b/c men are less likely to see a doctor when they have symptoms. and if they do go and get Dx'd - most do not have the patience and stay on top of it. Also most men are willing to accept the "clean bill of health" status when doctors say everyting "is in normal range" and say OK I'm fixed, but still feel ill.
I agree, I think it's a great idea! I think we all need to move past the hang-up about having an armed presence at the schools. Before, that was seen as being hostile, or painted a scary picture. I have no doubt the children wouldn't be fearful at all...they would probably love it in fact. I could imagine them high fiving the GI every day on their way in. There are GI's who would eat that up!
Please men on this site, do not get defensive. I've just had a night from h e l l. Well Jayden has gotten me sick once again and I'm about to scream because every time he's sick, I wind up sick. This has been almost once a month now.
This afternoon, I'll research on the internet some free-weight exercises for shoulders and arms. If I print out this research and take it to the in-house gym, I can do THOSE exercises tomorrow PLUS do squats and lunges for 10 minutes TOMORROW. That can be my strength training day." (Before this light workout, warm up by walking slowly at first and then increasing your speed for 5-10 minutes....NEVER stretch before a workout...ONLY ONLY ONLY stretch AFTER a workout ! ! ! !
Heck i don't even really care about doing these courses anymore. (right this minute) I'm just freaking bored. I'm angry. In my mind i just keep picturing getting a knife and running it down the side of my arm (not that i would ever do that). I want to punch walls. I want to scream. I want to smash everything in sight. I'm sick of the same old crap. I'm sick of living with my mother again at the age of 24. And i hate the fact that i f****d up a good job and a good life.
* Increased thirst * Increased urination * Increased appetite * Fatigue * Blurred vision * Slow-healing infections * Impotence in men Regular exercise is especially important for people with diabetes and pre-diabetes. It helps with blood sugar control, weight loss, and high blood pressure. People who exercise regularly are less likely to experience a heart attack or stroke than diabetics who do not exercise regularly.
I read this today after shoveling a foot and a half of show off the driveways and walks today. I love the exercise, it's a great workout. In fact, they should add show shoveling to the exercise tracker:). In any case, a good reminder for all of us poor souls in snow country; "It happens every winter in the Midwest ... snow falls, usually leaving piles of the stuff to clear from your sidewalks and driveway. Consider the following before you grab your shovel after a major snowfall.
I don't smoke. I eat decently. I exercise. I don't have history of cancer in my family. But, I have a chest pain. It's severe, sometimes. It hurts right between my breast, especially when I breathe deeply (or it worsens when I do.) and when I press it, or put pressure there. Sometimes the pain actually moves to be more on my breast, or it will be right below, on my ribcage. Any ideas of what could be going on? It usually happens for a few minutes, but right now, it's been going on for hours.
There isn't a modicum of sanity in Steubenville and I think the picture this scenario paints is indicative of the state of affairs for the whole nation. I mean, the whole thing is tragic on so many levels. Obviously, this girl was intoxicated to the point of passing out and or blacking out. I think that says a lot about the teen drinking situation and what parents will allow their kids to get away with.
Indeed, it may be the easiest form of exercise since it doesn't fatigue you as much as cardiovascular exercise. Exercise is truly one of the few things that all patients on treatment can do to make themselves feel better. You obviously need to start out very gently and gradually. You can't have the same sort of goals that you would have if you weren't on treatment. But it will make you feel better and it's a good way to combat weight loss. i know it might seem impossible. Maybe it is.
I needed a little break from my routine, I wanted to forget him... yet I cant stop thinking about wanting to be happy with him, in his arms... Last time we kinda hooked... by kinda ... just play around... no intercorse... we were both so into it.. he was shouting things like you're so sexy. I dont know anyone as sexy as you... it makes me doubt things... its frustrating...because he doesnt give too too much attention as hes busy with a lot of things... and im not joking... i know he is...

) If you look at pictures of our soldiers taken in WWII, you will find systematically young, lean men (now I am referring to pictures taken by my father). I don't say the being lean and muscled is a miracle cure for every ailment today's Americans face. I do believe, however, that we have become complacent about "being heavy" (a euphemism) as well as accepting an extra 20, 30, 40 LB. of fat as inevitable. It's really a mind set.
Hello, My name is John. I just turned 33 and on 12/03/2009 I had a heart attack. When the paramedics arrived they thought I was having a panic attack and made me walk to the ambulance, shortly after that, they hooked me to ekg machine and gave me nitro, asprins and turned on the lights/siren. After I get to the hospital, they hook up a bunch of wires, hoses, take blood, give shots, etc...
I probably should also that over the last few days I have been getting a rash on my entire arms when I exercise. It's not uncomfortable or anything. It also happens when I shower. It goes away within an hour or so. No idea what that is. I totally hear you on not being able to open a jar but being able to shovel snow without a problem. That's exactly what I feel.
To oblige the great body of the yeomanry, and of the other classes of the citizens, to be under arms for the purpose of going through military exercises and evolutions, as often as might be necessary to acquire the degree of perfection which would entitle them to the character of a well-regulated militia, would be a real grievance to the people, and a serious public inconvenience and loss.
Instead, they found I was suffering a heart attack. While the most common symptons for men are chest pain, arm pain, jaw pain, shortness of breath, it is indeed possible to have a heart attack w/o alot of pain. Women can also present with symptons than men. It can be difficult to diagnose a heart attack...
For myself i usually look for self inflicted things, like poor diet, not stretching or exercising. I'm afraid if I go to the doctor he will say.......no wonder you feel like ****.....you don't take care of yourself. So instead I down a few more Advil with some brownies to coat my stomach.
He/She must have had a difficult time with anatomy classes.. I don't think men with these problems who have MS would agree with him that this is a problem "women have because of childbirth... Hello I don't think men give birth at least not that I am aware of... Please get a second opinion... Lulu said it just right... Like I said I don't feel so good right now towards Doctors, But I do know there are some very good ones out there and even they can have an off day...
This forum is for "natural" weight loss. Truthfully I don't know that much about Lipitor's side effects. I do know that it's more common to experience a lack of appetite as compared to a weight gain with Lipitor. It's good that you've learned about portion control, as that is the "key" with a good diet. If weights are the only exercising that you are doing, I strongly suggest aerobic exercising, swimming, etc.

Dear Doctor, I am a forty year old male in good health with no physical ailments. I have a concern regarding what appears to be lumps of fat (I can't think of any other way to describe them) all over my body just below the skin and above the muscle layer. There are more than forty of these "lumps" all over my body (arms, legs, back, side of body). The lumps vary in size from 1cm to 3cm in diameter.

I avoided exercise but on the few occasions where I indulged (before I was told by the US doctors NOT to and AFTER the stress test, when I experienced no pain) I DID have pain AFTER the exercise--up to several hours to one dasy after, especially with upper arm exercise. Results of taking nitropen--inconclusive. Seems to EITHER have worked, or NOT to have worked. In other words, some episodes were SO short, that it could have gone away on its own.
we guys are extremely sensitive when it comes to sexual problems. Men don't like to talk about it and prefer to suffer in silence. You'll have to be extremely patient and supportive.

It was about 10 min. of moving pictures of people with no arms and legs, people with no legs, doing amazing things.... and smiling! And thinking about our men in service to our country, going through much worse than I. And many of you, also, inspire me to keep going. My problem is fixable. I'll keep you posted. Hugs. Just Me.
I thought it was crazy to think that thing would make a difference - but it did !!! Those sit down exercises with the upward arm movement really helped me tooo. My surgeon said that when I run - I may feel pain in my sternum - but I said: well if I do - I'll just take some 'motrin' and I'm not going to stop doing the things I love to do. After all that's why I had the surgery - to get back to a full life. As it ended up - I had no pain..
I have slept that way since I was born. I sometimes do it with my other arm but it's almost always with the arm where I feel the tingling. I've never been in an accident nor have I ever had an epideral. I had mild scoliosis when I was a child but that has long since gone. If anyone hears anything about this from an M.D. please post to this discussion. I am planning on going to the doctor once my insurance kicks in.
