Avatar f tn I might be pregnant and my psychiatrist told me not to worry about the embryo. He told me that even while I'm taking 15 mg of Aripiprazole and 50 mg of Sertraline daily, there is no danger. I'm really worried. if I'm pregnant, would these doses harm my embryo being taken daily?
Avatar m tn To the Health Specialist concern I am from malaysia age 21 and was and am under various psyciatrict drugs. Lorazepam 3. Valporic acid/ Sodium valporate 4.
Avatar f tn Venlafaxine is used to treat general anxiety and abilify(aripiprazole) is used to treat depression. Good luck!!!!
Avatar f tn Hi, I have had depression for over 20 years too. At the moment I am a bit low. I have taken anti-depressants for all those years, but sometimes I have stopped them. The longest I went without depression was a year. But it came back very bad. I have always avoided sleeping tablets, and take herbal sleep aid if insomnia gets too bad. i can understand why you don't want to see doctor again. How about you try slowly weaning yourself off the sleeping pills.
Avatar f tn What is the lethal dose of aripiprazole, quetiapine and lamotrigine? Mix of them.
Avatar m tn What medication did you take? Was it for depression or bipolar or schizophrenia? Unfortunately, while those medications do often work well for the disorder, they do often have sexual side effects. Not for everyone but that doesn't matter since it happened to you. Have you talked to your doctor about it? You could talk to your psychiatrist that prescribed them or your primary care doctor both. I'm sure this is really frustrating.
Avatar f tn I have just started taking Aripiprazole(Abilify) and have found it to have some beneficial effects on my mood. However I am also finding myself to be extremely drowsy. I have heard that this side effect wears off with time. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the first antipsychotic I've taken that's had any effect so I don't want to stop it but the fact I can literally go to sleep while standing up is making my life difficult.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm on 50mg of methadone and 10mg of aripiprazole and I'm wondering if I should keep taking the 2 together as it makes me mega drowsy and also is this combination a thing to worry av about can someone let me know please?
Avatar m tn I would try replacing the Aripiprazole (Abilify) and the Sertraline (Zoloft) by taking 25mg of 5-HTP 3x Daily for 1 week as anymore than this could induce Serotonin Syndrome. I would then recommend swapping the tablets out for a 5-HTP transdermal patch which will release a more even dose of 5-HTP throughout the day especially if you have BPD as otherwise the oral form could cause mania.
Avatar m tn Fluoxetine 40mg/day, Aripiprazole 2.5 mg/day. * Include a photo if relevant (skin condition for example): [Image 1](http://imgur.com/lIffDOF) , [Image 2] (http://imgur.com/eBoDCbc).
Avatar f tn "Treatment starts with controlling adhd symptoms." When a childs adhd symptoms "are reduced there usually is an improvement in ODD symptoms. Stimulant medications have been shown to decrease adhd symptoms, as well as those of ODD, by up to 50%." In my opinion, the doctors have been not dealing with the cause of her ODD. Nothing you have stated is really recommended to treat adhd. My recommendation for a good adhd medication starts with a good doctor.
Avatar f tn Let's approach this in a factual manner. That is the full print out you'd get as for any medication. Every medication including asprin and the standard antibiotics you'd take has side effects that are of concern. Realistically some people need antipsychotics. That includes myself. The findings from the Phase II clinical study antipsychotic I am on are still tentative but it is medication and will surely be found to have side effects of its own.
Avatar n tn s worst, even if taking an AD medication ment that my hair would fall out and would cause me to gain 400Lbs, I would have still taken it. That's how bad I wanted the pain to stop. They all have side effects without exception. When your head feels as if it could explode, your body is trembling all the time, and you feel as if your going insane and can not even function well enough to take a shower, then gaining a bit of weight is hardly a deal breaker.
Avatar n tn "Hypothyroid medication levothyroxine (Synthroid, AbbVie) was the nation's most prescribed drug in 2013, whereas the antipsychotic aripiprazole (Abilify, Otsuka Pharmaceutical) had the highest sales, at nearly $6.5 billion, according to a new report from research firm IMS Health on the top 100 selling drugs in the United States." - Medscape - Top 100 Selling Drugs of 2013.
Avatar m tn I have been taking sertraline and aripiprazole for schizo-affective disorder I have now been been put onto amitriptyline for pain relief. I am also epileptic and take tegretol, lamotrigine and levetiracetam to control seizure's.
Avatar f tn I have been off my meds because i ran out of refills for 21 days now (i used to take 10mg aripiprazole, 80mg duloxotine, and bupropion HCL XL 300mg.) i dont know if that would effect my period but it’s worth a shot putting it out there. I feel as though something is really wrong but I cannot afford a doctor/emergency care because i have no insurance or income. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Does anyone know what’s happening with my body?
Avatar f tn maybe find a new doctor? I have a doctor (who i am not going back to now) who just would keep writing scripts. My last visit I asked for a new sleep medication but she didn't want to give me a sleeping pill. Instead prescribed me a medication used for schizophrenia. She told me don't read too much about it because it might worry me. She was giving it to me because she felt it would help me sleep! Well, of course I looked it up when I got home and saw what it was.
Avatar f tn First, let's look at the good news. Your MRI came out clear. That should ease your mind that there is nothing organically wrong with your brain. These other symptoms have me a bit stumped....but also concerned. You say you take Ativan and have since May of this year. Ativan should not cause the symptoms you're describing. The aripiprazole, (Abilify) is usally added as an adjunct to antidepressants, and some people exhibit a hypersensitivity to it.
Avatar m tn t last long but this time my left leg and it wont go away and another doctor (internists) who said that i should do a vitamin D lab test as it is definitely the reason but i am not really convinced and i am just exhausted and asking for help for my leg and back pain and i take a weak paracetamol two times daily and Benfotiamine 40 mg +Vitamin B6 60 mg + Vitamin B12 250mcg in one medicine two times daily and Gabapentin (100mg) two times daily and also i take mental related medicine (Aripiprazole
Avatar f tn Meds are pretty individual. Lamotrigine would be the one I'd ask for. It has a low side effect profile and is good more for the downs than the ups. If you are up more than you are down - lithium may be a better choice. Although with lithium you will need regular blood testing. Depakene is the other mood stabilizer but I know very little about it except it can make your hair fall out. I had a hard go around with the antipsychotics. Lots of side effects But finally Abilify works great for me.
1257808 tn?1322762215 Good choice on the Zyprexa! I won't put my two cents in on that drug. I have heard good things from many people about Abilify. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
Avatar f tn Her family doesn’t even know what is going on. I asked her years ago to go to a new doctor to make sure all these medication were not causing problems. Besides withdrawing and not eating she is alert and awake at work but comes home and falls asleep in her work clothes. She has fallen asleep at the dinner table. She has had no sex drive for years and her legs and body have bruises all over. If she barely touches something she bruises.
