I would try replacing the Aripiprazole (Abilify) and the Sertraline (Zoloft) by taking 25mg of 5-HTP 3x Daily for 1 week as anymore than this could induce Serotonin Syndrome. I would then recommend swapping the tablets out for a 5-HTP transdermal patch which will release a more even dose of 5-HTP throughout the day especially if you have BPD as otherwise the oral form could cause mania.
I have just started taking Aripiprazole(Abilify) and have found it to have some beneficial effects on my mood. However I am also finding myself to be extremely drowsy. I have heard that this side effect wears off with time. Has anyone else experienced this? It's the first antipsychotic I've taken that's had any effect so I don't want to stop it but the fact I can literally go to sleep while standing up is making my life difficult.
Venlafaxine is used to treat general anxiety and abilify(aripiprazole) is used to treat depression.

You could try taking it in the morning because it typically keeps people awake and causes restlessness. Also, when i first started on aripiprazole (abilify) i experienced some side effects but they went away after a couple of weeks. Hopefully yours will go away as well, if they don't go away,however, talk to your psychiatrist. You don't have to deal with any unwanted side effects if you don't want to. That is what mine always tells me anyways....

I have been taking sertraline and aripiprazole for schizo-affective disorder I have now been been put onto amitriptyline for pain relief. I am also epileptic and take tegretol, lamotrigine and levetiracetam to control seizure's.

"Indication:Abilify (aripipazole) is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia. The efficacy of Abilify in the treatment of schizophrenia was established in short-term (4- and 6-week) controlled trials of schizophrenic inpatients. I would encourage you to do some research on this drug as well as read the responses you will get here. This drug, Abilify, was approved originally by the FDA only when all other drugs had failed to work, if my memory serves. The reason was it had a lot of side effects and didn't work all that well for most people. It's an antipsychotic; do you suffer a psychosis?

Point being is that if all he is taking now is risperdal and he is not getting a help either med wise or behavioral therapy for his ADHD - then his ADHD is probably making both his and your life pretty miserable.

I take Lamictal 200 for my bipolar 2 disorder and it helps a lot. 50mg is a really low dose.

There may be additive central nervous system adverse effect when you take escitalopram (Lexapro) and aripiprazole (Abilify) concurrently with oxymorphone (Opana) and hydromorphone (Dilaudid). Please monitor closely.
Based on the information presented, I do not recommend for you to try the proposed treatment plan. Unlike Opana, fentanyl patch does not work immediately after applying it. It may take 1 to 3 days to see full effect.
