I'm 5 years out from lobular & ductal breast cancer. I initially did a double mastectomy & 4 chemo''s & arimidex. Year #4 I did 8 did 8 rounds of faslodex. 1 year later my CA 27.29 has quadrupled to 28 & my liver enzymes are high..Doc wants to repeat markers in 3 months, possibly scans. Should I push for sooner diagnostics? Or is it too soon.

Armidex may not prolong his growth period much longer with such an advanced bone age, it is a medication used to block estrogen effect, also used in breast cancer, there are concerns with the liver but if monitored carefully most have few side effects. However with a bone age of 17 1/2 growth is near completion. I would work with the peds endocrinologist and talk with them to discuss your concerns, plan of care and monitoring.

m not looking to replace arimidex with the supplement, just use it to enhance the AI effect of arimidex (the supplement works in the liver, not in the adrenals like arimidex). My CA 125 is rising from 93 to 156 and now in the 230's... however nothing has changed on my pet scan and no measurable disease...
