1415174 tn?1453243103 I am posting again to ask a question my friend that is taking Arimidex for grade 1 breast cancer. She has been taking Arimidex for about 6 months now and has had a hallucination. Has anyone had this happen. I read it may be a rare side effect but it isn't on the package insert.
Avatar f tn hi -- a few weeks ago there was a guy who posted here looking for user-friendly clinical trials sites. He was getting medical help outside of the U.S. I can't find his post....so thought I'd write a new one hoping he'll find this. I found this site today and thought of him. http://www.centerwatch.com/patient/pns/patemail.

I live in Central Florida. So, if it is ok to post that info, or if there is anyone on here that would like that info, you can always send me a message.

1853014 tn?1340038575 So because of this I have called Duke University to see about getting in their clinical trials which I could start right away. I would like some feedback good and bad but in the end I realize its my decision. This waiting game has put my life on hold and affecting me financially only. thanks everyone for your response. I enjoy and respect all of you.
559187 tn?1330782856 I have been involved in (runnung at a clinical level) numerous research trials over the last 10+ years. The extensive consent form should be very specific to what the liability the facility will hold in case of complications. If you have questions there should b a specific # to contact near the back (an independant institution called a review board). If you are uncomfortable asking your MD these questions, direct these questions to the review board.

789911 tn?1368636783 21 with the drug r05024048.I did do alot of research on clinical trials before I agreed to be in a trial. The care you get in a clinical trial is far better than what you would get outside of one.I do not agree with people who say if your biopsy isn`t bad then you should wait.It is a proven fact that the worse the virus gets the less chance of a svr.If you treat when the virus isn`t strong the better your chance of getting a cure.
Avatar f tn My onc. has suggested I look into clinical trials for my colon cancer. How do I go about this and where do I start. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Avatar n tn Please inform me of side effects of Arimidex. Also confirm whether clinical tests proved that arimidex really prevent cancer from returning. Recently I had a lumpectomy. The cancer was confined to the lump in my breast and did not spread to the limph nodes. I had a serie of 30 radiation treatments. My bone density is deteriorating, thus I would like to know whether I have to take osteobond 70mg weekly. Will arimidex contribute to loss of bone density? Thank you very much. Susan.
492490 tn?1255405372 com and think about using ice packs on ankles and wrists during the infusion. There are also stage III clinical trials for Ovature out there to make you sensitive to platin again -- my doctor also keeps talking about Navelbine as a possible alternative treatment, although my research showed it mainly is used for small cell lung cancer.
Avatar n tn Ask for all options available. There is so much available in terms of clinical trials. Besides God has aplan for your wife and I will add her to my prayer list. P U S H means Pray Until Something Happens.
Avatar f tn I just completed 5 years on arimidex and have been asked to be part of a study and go on it for another 5 years. Has cancer reoccurred in patients while they have been on arimidex, not due to the drug, but due to the cancer. In other words, does taking arimidex prevent cancer from reoccurring while a patient is on it?
Avatar n tn Does Arimidex have to actually kill you vs. maiming you for life, in order to be pulled off the market? At 58, I may need a hip replacement because I took Arimidex for two years!
