Avatar f tn Hi there. I started taking Tri-Previfem (orthotricyclen generic) last Wednesday for my insanely heavy periods, and at first I felt fine. But starting yesterday (saturday) I have extreme fatigue, pain in the right side of my neck, hot flashes, headaches, nausea with acid reflux, and a general feeling of not being "right" if that makes sense. I had a pretty bad cold that ended last Monday, I was in bed for days.
Avatar f tn I have been on birth control for 6-7 years, about a month or 2 ago i was switched from ortho lo to a generic (tri-previfem), I have been having issues with weight gain and bloating. Could this be caused by the birth control? I exercise daily and still have problems with losing weight. I dont know what to do?
Avatar n tn I took Tri-Sprintec (which is the same thing as Trinessa) for 3 years and my period almost always came on Wednesday of my inactive week (I was a Sunday start so Wednesday was the 4th day of the inactive pill week). Once or twice it came on Tuesday. It is because it take a few days after the last active pill for your progesterone levels to level out and trigger your period.
Avatar f tn I am having pain in my chest and my ovaries feel swollen. I just wondered if I could be pregnant and if I am will the birth control hurt the baby?
Avatar f tn m also supposed to be on tri-previfem for my acne, but I never take it either. Probably this is just testament to my lack of motivation. On the certraline though, I've been afraid that it has contributed to my weight gain.
4274823 tn?1388529098 Any way, I even tried the tea tree suppositories and all that did was irritate my vagina. It got so bad that the skin on my vagina was raw most of the time. Well my absolute final treatment I could think of was putting a whole peeled garlic in my vagina at night then taking it out in the morning. I did this for 3 days and I felt better. I also took "AZO yeast" pills, which is suppose to prevent yeast infections, because I didn't want it to come back.
Avatar n tn I have been on trinessa for 4 weeks now. I am on the Sunday start pills. I started the first Sunday of July. My last period started the first Saturday of July. I've been taking my pills at the same time daily. I've been having protective sex always, and the guy never releases in me. Even though he wears a condom, he always pulls out before he has to ejaculate. I am now on the 5th day of my 4th week pills (I started Sunday). I still haven't started my period.
Avatar f tn A CT scan was done where they again found fluid and diagnosed a ruptured ovarian cyst. I had the same symptoms previously within the past few years, but it wasn't severe enough to warrant a trip to the ER, but the more times it happens, the more severe the pain is. When my family doctor was contacted regarding the CT results, I was told only that it showed no more cysts, which is what they said back in July when they did the ultrasound.
Avatar n tn i was on the shot for 3 months, my period was acting up. it took me 3 months to get back on it. i just started the trinessa birth control pill a month ago but i feel nauseated, i take it everyday and i am a week late. am i pregnant or is it the pill playing mind games with me?
Avatar n tn I have been with the same guy for the past 4 years. He's the only one I have had sex with. Pretty much from the begging I would occasionally bleed during sex. I wouldn't bleed before or after, just during. I have been on the pill (Trinessa) for about 2-3 years now, have had regular gyno visits that come out normal and I still bleed. We can have sex one time and not bleed and have it again later on and I'd bleed then or vice versa.
Avatar f tn t affect you when you go back on the white pills, even if you took them at the same time as two of the white pills. That would suggest that you're having breakthrough bleeding, which would itself suggest you aren't protected this month and should be talking to your doctor about dosage.
Avatar m tn I take my bc religiously, so now I'm thinking I have a stomach flu. I still feel rubbish. The flu would be preferable to pregnancy though. Doctor's appointment is two weeks out. Poo...
Avatar f tn I loved the nuvaring! But I have visual migraines that cause me to. E on a low estrogen kind of birth control, so it was that, pill, arm implant, or iud. I did the pill for a while, but I'm not responsible enough to take it daily at the same time.
Avatar f tn I am currently on trinessa and have been for a couple of years. A few weeks ago I was on flagyl for bacterial vaginosis. I continued to take my birth control throughout at the same time every day and did not miss a pill. 11 days after I was off the antibiotics I did have sexual intercourse. Like I said, I continued to take my birth control as normal, and he withdrew before ejaculating. I also had been off the antibiotic for over a week. I am just concerned on my risk of pregnancy.
Avatar f tn t work well if you want to skip your period by taking the packs back to back because the pills go from low dose to high dose of hormones instead of the same level for all 3 weeks. For me, I wanted to stay protected and continued to finish out the pack and went back to respecting the placebo week. My period normalized after a while.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if I'm still protected if I just continue on with the pack as usual. I didn't miss a pill, I just lost a few of the ones I should have been taking next. My birth control is Trinessa.
Avatar m tn ) I hope I am as lucky as you are with the Ortho Tri-Cyclen continuing to help me lose weight. So far the extra weight I gained during the 2 years of my hormonal imbalance is slowing melting away, but I am definitely seeing a difference. With regulating my periods, protecting against pregnancy, helping me lose weight, and clearing up my acne and making my skin softer, Ortho Tri-Cyclen really seems like a miracle drug!
Avatar f tn Yes I guess it's the same for everyone.
Avatar m tn I am currently on TriNessa birth control and this is my 2nd month of being on the pill. I have a vacation planned in about 2 weeks and the timing lines up perfectly with when I am supposed to be on the 7 sugar pills. This means I will have my period during my vacation. I REALLY want to avoid this. Is it okay for me to skip the 7 sugar pills and go straight to taking a new pack of birth control, therefore skipping my period?
Avatar f tn I am on ortho tri cyclen lo and am also prone to yeast infections. I want to try Azo Yeast to help control it. Will Azo interact with the pill?
Avatar f tn When I was on the pill I had the same issue, I think it might just be the hormones in the pill that reduces your period to nothing, over a period of time.
18026835 tn?1462471175 I'm 21 years old and have been on Trinessa for about 2 months. With the first month, my period was scheduled to start halfway through my pill cycle and instead I just spotted a little. And today I am spotting again and I'm not supposed to start for another 3 weeks. I'm very nervous and I don't want to be pregnant since it won't be my fiancée's and I don't want to deal with a baby from that awful situation....
Avatar f tn Not too long ago insurance switched me to trinessa. The first month of those I bled after intercourse when I still had one active pill left. It's been probably 3 month since the switch now. I take it around same time every day not exact. But it's my blank pills week and I have not been having my normal period. There is not much of a flow, it's mainly when I wipe.
