Avatar f tn I just try my best to push threw and when I get really bad I have to go to the er for iv fluids.
535882 tn?1396576685 I tapered myself off of it and now only take the Herbs. I am doing a little better. Hopefully will get better and better. Prescription meds are Awful, and "I should know" I have been on about 50 different ones over the past 21 years of my Anxiety/Panic disorder. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn Yes! I agree, those vitamins are so important as well! Thanks for your nice post. Nice to see others have successfully tried these things. It took me a long time to figure these things out in the right combinations for the best results for my children, but it is SO worth it.
Avatar f tn They are ranked very high with prenatals and have dha and omega-3.
Avatar f tn I take nature made liquid gel prenatal vitamins with dha. Liquid geeks are much much easier on your tummy than reg vit. As for Flintstones I've never agreed with that bc you have to take two to get everything you need then you get more of done stuff than is even in one prenatal like iron for example which for me leads to constipation couple that with the zifran bc it too caused me constipation my first pregnancy and I couldn't poo for days f*** that.
Avatar f tn I like it tastes like chocolate. What are you taking? Do you like them? Have you noticed anything good or challenging about what you are taking?
Avatar f tn There is no substitute for healthy eating. There are some vitamins that are better than others, though. Do some research on muscle testing and you can find out if this is the right one for you.
9590250 tn?1452831684 You can get them over the counter through prescription from you doctor and pharmacy. I take nature made liquid gels with dha and omega-3. They are about 20$ for a three month supply. They are easy on tummy bc they are liquid gels not solid. I have a very sensitive tummy so they work great for me :-). And they are rated top 10 of prenatals only after a bunch of expensive organic and vegan vitamins! :-) my doctor told me they are one of the beat out there when she asked what I was taking.
Avatar f tn I like "one a day prenatal vitamins" I take them before bed!!
Avatar f tn I have a very weak stomach when it comes to vitamins so the ones ive found work best for me and are affordable and rated amoung the top 10 pre natals are the nature made liquid gel pre natals with dha and omega-3. I absolutely love them.
941766 tn?1257796601 The 5 hour energy drinks have a lot of b-12 as well as other vitamins, niacin(B-3), folic acid and a few more. they only have a small amount of cafine (one cup) or you can get the decafinated. My Dr drinks one before he goes on long bike rides. I have been so depressed lately, ( in the bed crying etc...) and got on line to see if there are good vitamins for depression. I used to drink the 5 hour's regularly and then stopped. I think it has played a part in my depression of late.
535822 tn?1443976780 It also depends on the brand and the form of the mineral; some are absorbed better than others, and some are absorbed better by a particular individual than others. And it depends on what fillers and binders are in the tablet. Overall, capsules probably are best, as they protect the product from oxidation (you have this problem with powder as well) and dissolve better than tablets.
Avatar f tn What other supplements/vitamins are you ladies taking or suggest to take besides prenatals? !
Avatar f tn Sometimes specific vitamins or minerals, such as the type of iron some of these have included in them, are what is making you sick. Try a natural multi-vitamin without iron added to it. Then, get a separate natural iron supplement, such as a chelated iron, or Easy Iron or Gentle Iron. Easy Iron and Gentle Iron have just the RDA of iron and are what is recommended, unless your doctor has specifically told you to take added iron.
1288945 tn?1271972452 I don't take liquid vitamins but I still use chewables. The BEST ones I have found for me are the "Children's GUMMY multivitamin". They're called up&up (I bought them at Target). 4-6 a day and it figures out to the daiy requirements for adults. I tolerate the sugar content in them (2 gms for 2 gummy bears) and I had my surgery 9 months ago. I've been taking them for the past 6 months at least.
Avatar m tn I found a multi-vitamin at Walmart that are liquid gels and they work so much better. I also take a B-12 super complex which helps with energy. I also take every morning a Chromium Picolinate which also helps me with energy. It has made a huge difference in how I feel. At night I take Magnesium, Biotin, Garlic and Milk Thistle (for liver function) and they have helped me a ton too. I also recently switched to eating 2 eggs every morning for breakfast.
599316 tn?1256921613 He or she may be able to prescribe a different kind of prenatal vitamin (for example, chewable or liquid vitamins as opposed to those you swallow whole may be better tolerated by some women).
599170 tn?1300973893 Not all vitamins are created equal. Some of them are no good... Make sure to see if they are pharmacy grade if you want to get the most out of them. I saw a video once, but I don't remember the url. They tested them by putting a pill in a cup of vineagar for about 15-30min. If the pill didn't disolve in that time frame, then it was no good because the body can't absorb the pill. That said, I haven't been taking vitamins. It seems I feel no different either way.
Avatar n tn I feel like my vitamins and prenatals are making me nauseous and have headaches. All i wana do is sleep to forget. Dr gave me calcium 2 a day, ferrous sulfate for iron deficiency 3 a day, laxative pill, folic acid 3 a day, fish oil pills 3 a day... isnt too much iron bad for you? And i thought this was soo much. Iam 8 wks pregnant not knowing what to expect (my first child) iam 31yrs old. Omg my breasts are so tender and i have implants too. They feel so hard. Does anyone have this problem?
Avatar f tn -) very gentle on tummy bc they are liquid gels and my pb was very happy and impressed with my choice on those she said they are a great brand :-)
Avatar f tn Its the DHA that is making you feel sick. Switch to gummies for sure. Or you can take Flintstone chewables. Two of those is equivalent to a prenatal pill. Good luck and congrats!
Avatar f tn yes = liquid is much better and they are not filled with cellulose- which can cause problems for hypo's with conversion.. that is what basically happened with the new formula with Armour thyroid. They dropped a ton more cellulose - lessened the dextrose and BAM- ... almost every thyroid person I know that took it - as I did- fell right to their knees in less than 2 days with hypo symptoms raging back in... They say cellulose is gluten -free... I don't buy that.
Avatar f tn They come in a powder and you mix it with water, so they are easy to take, if you are feeling nauseous. Those are my favorite, but I've only tried those and the gummies.
Avatar f tn You can get an Rx for liquid. I don't take prenatal vitamins but at my 28 weeks appt my iron was low and she put me on the liquid for better absorption.
Avatar n tn I also take a liquid vitamin from a health food store because liquid vitamins are easier for the body to process, which is what we need when our terminal illeum is affected. That's the last part of the small intestines (which is usually affected by the Crohns) and it has a very important job in helping process vitamin B12 and also helps break down fat. When the terminal illeum is affected you may be missing B12 from your diet so watch that. It will make you very tired.
