flovent

Avatar n tn Thought I was having a heart attack at age 32! After continued use of the Flonase over the next week the issue persisted and I could barely sleep. I stopped taking it and the heart issues I was having went away immediately.
Avatar m tn The thing that started me on the path to a-fib 13 yrs ago was ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine as found (or used to be found) in Nyquil. The ephedrine I got from Metabolife, a diet aid popular in the 90's. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole now. I'm not sure but I think epinephrine might cause problems too. Just always check the ingredients on the bottle and if there's any doubt call your Dr.s office or at least your local pharmacist.
Avatar f tn I've used several bottles, or several months, of Fluticasone Propionate, which is a steroid nasal spray... I think it is the generic of Flonase. It may be that I can't tell because I am in permanent atrial fibrillation. But I haven't identified any problems other than it doesn't help reduce my nasal congestion. I just switched to Astepro, not a steroid, and it too doesn't give my congestion much relief.
Avatar n tn Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
Avatar f tn that is highly unlikely as you have had your eyes examined 3 times (however it seems by the same professional). Steroid cataracts generally come after years and years on the nose drops and are still relative rare. Steroid cataracts are mainly after oral pills or topical eye drops. Other medicines can cause trouble focusing especially anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medications (I saw a case in my clinic this week due to effexor).
Avatar f tn s since this all started and it never helped. What is the difference between Flonase and Nasonex?
Avatar m tn I've been taking zyrtec in the mornings and I used nasonex right afterwards but it didn't really work... next morning ---- it's a bit better still hurts a bit...
Avatar n tn I have also been having vertigo issues for the past nine months or so. Have tried several medications such as Zyrtec D, Flonase, Nasonex, Xyzal....also nasal rinses, and some vitamins and herbs...nothing works for long. Today the doc decided to start testing me for allergies to try to get to the root of the fluid and swelling in my ears. Your results sound interesting. I have in the past from time to time has what I think are fever blisters around the corners of my mouth.
Avatar m tn He also has albuterol inhaler and Flonase. However, it does not work sometime like the last 2 nights. The flonase really made it worst so I stop. He has this about a year off and on, but worse when the weather change.I have air filter and huminifier at home as well. Myself, I started having sinus issue only recently about 2-3 years. I have post nasal drop 2-3x per week. Sometime mild and sometime very bad.
345124 tn?1234483278 Did you get okay? Im going through the same thing for 6 months and feel like I'm dying.
Avatar f tn I caught a cold about 2 weeks ago and I developed a sinus infection. I have a history of Asthma, High Blood Pressure, Sleep Apnea and Sero-Negative Rheumatoid Arthritis. My best peak flow is 500. I am a 56 year old woman and was not on any preventative asthma meds at the time of catching the cold and development of the sinus infection.
Avatar n tn So I got a hold of my doctor on the phone and I told her how when I took the nasonex the ringing got real loud and everything. She said I dont have to take it. Just to stick with the antibiotics. If I'm not better by monday which its friday night right now she is going to send me to ENT specialist. But my question is should I go back to taking the nasonex?
Avatar n tn What happens is that the inflamed inner ear sends confusing signals to the brain, and your balance will be so thrown off that you will think you are very drunk. The world spins around you and then you begin to vomit. The worst is the first day, then as your inner ear heals up, your brain will actually adapt to the new signals and eventually over many days you will return to normal. Ear ringing pretty much precedes the actual vertigo (spinning sensation).
Avatar f tn After internet research finally tried using Nasonex and that seems to be the only thing that helps, usually it helps, and usually it helps the most if I use it soon enough with the start of symptoms. New development in last 3 weeks. After several airplane trips and ears not clearing after the 3rd trip, and a lot of fullness in the ear, (symptoms not as usual...not nearly as painful, but full and uncomfortable.
Avatar m tn I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
Avatar f tn I got a CT scan and they found there was a cyst in my left maxillary sinus and mucus thickening in the ethmoid on the same side. This cyst is covering about 80% of the maxillary sinus. I know that not a lot of doctors recommend getting surgery to remove a mucus retention cyst, but I feel like it is contributing to the problem.
Avatar f tn Alergia made me dry up too much but then it started making me feel odd, so I waited a few days and tried Zertic, that was the same reaction, so I again waited a few days and went back with Cleartin, same reaction. My PC doctor did give me the Singulair since I do have Asthma. He had me try Symbicort but that stuff really made me dry, and so nasty tasting. I can however use just a steroid inhaler along with the Nasonex nose spray, it seemed to work very well for me.
612551 tn?1450022175 t help much, not ow Astepro (not a steroid) which is a little more help, but none are as good as the over the counter Afrin (or similar) which can not be used for long periods. This congestion led me to recognize I have some trouble waking up with a suffocation sensession. .
531684 tn?1216745984 I am one of those 'supposedly' rare cases. I used nasonex in the past years off and on. Doctors kept saying it was a rare side effect to have nose bleeds, yet I can't even get to the end of the complaints on the internet about nose bleeds from nasonex!
Avatar m tn I notice that the ingredient that in Flonase is the same (fluticasone propionate) is the same one used in flonase.. It occurs to me that flonase might even work better because more of the stream of fluticasone propionate would hit the back of my throat and be swallowed, getting more to my esophagus and less to my mouth. The key point though is I can get flonase inexpensively, whereas the flovent is more than I can easily afford.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is the same with everyone, but I have had PVCs and PACs for decades. I was on the 6 day pack of steroids about 3 times in my life and they never had any effect on mine. In fact, I usually felt pretty darned good the first two days. A lot of people that I know that have taken steroids said they made them feel bad, but I am an opposite. Mostly every medication makes me feel bad. These? I felt GREAT! Good luck.
Avatar f tn This year I got it again around the same time, but instead of flonase my doctor prescribed nasonex. Later the doctor gave me flonase and it hasn't helped. I'm thoroughly frustrated and worn out. If you find out anything about it please let me now. I'm so sorry for you having to go through all that, but I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one out there.
Avatar n tn It is considered an OTC med or over the counter and the changes of it damaging your heart are slim to none so relax a little. These residual effects i am sure will lessen as each day passes but it was a good lesson for you and now it seems like you know what not to do. If you are having probs. w. allergys you need to call the doc and see if there is something that he/she can recommend to you that will be safer for your system. It is just simply your body rebeling against what you put in it.
Avatar m tn I saw the end of THE DOCTORS and the person had the same symptoms and there was a surgery to open the eustation tubes with a baloon. Any idea what my problem is??
29837 tn?1414534648 t work for everyone. There are loads of these sprays on the market, so it is pretty much trial and error in regards to finding one that works for you.
