Are breasts sore throughout pregnancy

Common Questions and Answers about Are breasts sore throughout pregnancy

sore

Sore breasts is also a common side effect of birth control. It can also simply be caused by your cycle in general due to hormonal changes throughout. I wouldn't worry about pregnancy unless you miss a period.
Could my breasts be growing? My breasts (not nipples) had been really sore a few weeks ago and I chalked it up to a new sign before my period. But now they are sore again, and it gets worse when I take my bra off, and I'm only an A cup. But I am now two weeks away from having my next period and they are really sore again. And I know that I am not pregnant, tested earlier today because my ankles were also swelling. Any ideas?
It did stop for a day or two but came back again. Now my breasts seem fuller and the nipples only a bit sore. Can I possibly be pregnant? I've looked out for implantation bleeding but there's none. My period's due in four days.
How old are you? Are you old enough to perhaps be peri-menapausal? Or coming from a different angle, have you started taking hormones of some sort, i.e., birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy like Premarin? Or maybe vitamins that say they have natural products for women in them. One more angle. Could you be pregnant?? I think it would be a good idea if you went to see your OB/GYN. It sounds like, for whatever reason, your hormones might be different than the way they usually are.
Anyone else NOT having sore breasts? I'm worried that I'm not having this symptom at 5 weeks.
It occurs around middle through menstrual cycle. Feeling uneasiness in abdomen, increased discharge, sore breasts, and increased basal body temperature all can indicate ovulation. Ovulation predictor kits can help determine when you ovulate. Having sex in every two to three days throughout your cycles can increase chance to get pregnant. A sperm can live for up to 5 days in the uterus and that is why a woman can get pregnant if they ovulate within 5 days after intercourse.
Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation.

I know that gaining weight can make your breasts bigger and therefore grow, but my breasts have been sore for a good while now. My nipples are very sore and this morning I noticed the bumps that are normal and have always been around my nipples look different. Not red or white or anything abnormal.. Just different. There's more of them and a few are more prominent. I just notice something different with the tiny bumps on the nipple. (Hard to explain). My last symptom is sleepiness.
An improper bra with not enough support can cause soreness. (especially a sports bra when you are working out) Also pregnancy can cause sore breasts. Make sure you do regular self breast exams and try to see if the soreness happens at the same time each month. It may just be the way your body is!
the pain went away but my breasts are still swollen and sore
Since I was a teen, I have had these random sharp pains throughout various parts of my body that will occur in concentrated bursts of pain in a particular area for short periods of time. Sometimes pain will re-appear in the same area throughout the day and other times it will appear at seemingly unrelated part of my body. For example, it happened today and began with concentrated burst of pain half way up my inner left thigh.
Also is it ok to wear sports bras throughout my pregnancy? I'm finding that underwire bras are very uncomfortable and my breasts are just popping out lol.
Ok, I am 32 and 7 weeks pregnant. My breasts are so tender and sore that it makes sleeping uncomfortable. When will this end if ever? I thought eventually they would go back to their normal state....before the baby would come. Any help here would be appreciated...thanks Dear Teresa: Breast fullness and associated tenderness does persist throughout pregnancy and into lactation. Treatments include a nursing bra, worn day and night, local warmth/cold; analgesic such as tylenol.
This, my 3rd were sore around 14 and now at 16 weeks are starting to really get sore. AND grow..... Each pregnancy is different, I'm sure you are just fine. I think I missed your BFP? Congratulations to you!!
(mostly brown discharge and watery red) but lasted the usual number of days. Actually, I had sore breasts before I got it and they remained tender throughout the period and of course, after the period. It's just that now they are quite painful and they feeI (and look) heavy and swollen. I had a pap smear, a breast exam and a vaginal ultrasound 2 months ago and everything came back normal. Note that my breasts are smooth, I can't feel any lumps or anything and the pain is bilateral.
Pregnancy symptoms will fluctuate throughout the day and your pregnancy - this definitely applies to breast tenderness. Cramping during the early stages of pregnancy is a common pregnancy symptom and can be caused by a number of things including the stretching of ligaments. If the cramps become severe or are accompanied by bleeding, then that would be cause for concern. Also, make sure you are hydrated as that can sometimes cause/worsen cramps.
yea the fun ***** lol! im crying just because my boobs hurt. my mom asked me if i wanted dinner and i cried and said no my boobs hurt lmao! but i ate something just ughh my boobies hurt so bad and are starting to get so dark.
I am woundering what it could be. About 5 days after my period ended I got painful breasts. (Usually I get sore nipples that are sore touch. Which disapear when my period starts) I have never had painful beasts before. I not fell any growths or lumps.
My last period was on April 26, so I am not due for another week yet, however I have been having the following symptoms and wonder if anyone else who recently found out they are pregnant have experienced the same thing. My breasts have been very sore off and on throughout the day for the past week, but mainly on. My nipples have been EXTREMELY sensitive to the touch and have been throbbing a little also while not being touched. I have been experiencing some cramps in my lower abdomin.
Today I was also getting cramping all throughout my stomach... and my breasts are a little sore....which I never get either....so it's back to the guessing game for me! Good Luck to you, I hope all get your BFP!
gaining 65 lbs, swollen calfs when the blood vessels burst, extreme fatigue, occasional headaches, difficulty sleeping which was improved with a pregnancy body pillow, sensitive breasts the whole pregnancy, small stretch marks. Really my pregnancy was fairly easy compared to others. Just keep intuned to you body, eat health, take your prenatal daily, drink lots of water and just realize that your body is going to change a lot and you are just going to have to embrace it and know it is worth it.
Thanks, I usually get tender breasts but this is so much more. It hurts to wear a bra and they are sore w/out even being touched. I also have some acne on my back and collarbone!! Yikes I NEVER break out. I feel like a young teenager just entering puberty.
Your boobs will be sore until you stop nursing. The level of sensitivity will vary throughout your pg and after birth, but there will always be some level of discomfort. They're getting ready, and will do, a very large job. Good luck!
Many women also notice breast changes early in pregnancy. It is common to feel a tingling or sore sensation in the breasts or nipples. You might notice that the area around the nipple, the areola, becomes darker during pregnancy. It is also not uncommon to feel tired or fatigued at this point. You might feel like you need to nap at lunchtime and you may need to go to bed earlier to accommodate your body's needs.
umm, Well, the whitish discharge could have been just Cm which increases in pregnancy, the Off color in your urine could be because of your prenat. pills you are taking. If you are worry make sure you tell your Ob. Not to have MS is so normal! The soreness in the bbs is normal and they will keep on getting larger and the darkness is normal as well....
last night i notice that my symptoms were, for lack of a better word, disappearing. my nausea isn't as bad, no frequent urination, my breasts are only sore to the touch, nipples are more sensitive but everything else is just vanishing. when before they were strong...i've also been noticing cramps that are a mild form of period cramps. they're not as bad and not as frequent. the just come and go throughout the day. is this normal? or should i be concerned?
39 days no period feeling sick when i wake up and soemtimes throughout the day having cramping feeling in lower abdo (happening now) feeling like i will start period (but not as severe) but dont i have not had any spotting of blood or anything no sore breasts if iam preg then sure i should be about 4/5 weeks should tests be positive by now? please reply.
i remember feeling all sorts of things during the 1st 3 months. mainly like period symptoms. sore breasts, bit of cramping, mood swings, and upset stomache. i didnt vomit but just felt nausous(sp) all the time. then those symptoms subsided for a while and my body moved on to bigger and better things. like that pulling/ stretching sensation in tummy, cramping/mini contractions (Braxton Hicks) is that what they're called? leg cramps, swelling ankles, lower back ache.
for me having had 2 successful births, 1 miscarriage, my 1st signs were sore breasts, vomiting, excessively tired, and heartburn! I noticed all these around the 6th wk. I hope this helps.
