appendicitis

Avatar m tn Lower right abdominal pain along with a tight, bloated abdomen is a symptom of appendicitis. Please go see your doctor as soon as possible!
Avatar n tn At first, most gallstones do not cause symptoms. However, when gallstones become larger, or when they begin obstructing bile ducts, symptoms or "attacks" begin to occur. Attacks of gallstones usually occur after a fatty meal and at night. The following are the most common symptoms of gallstones. However, each individual may experience symptoms differently.

676912 tn?1332812551 and I think the reason she just moved on was because if you were having pain indicating either gallstones or appendicitis you wouldn't have simply said "I have been" you would've been like "YES it's been AGONIZING and it just keeps COMING" or you would've been in the ER...know what I mean? so I think she assumes that just mild pain is not related to either of those.
Avatar f tn They did an mri and I was told that my appendix is fine but they did find gallstones. Afterwards I stopped being able to go to the bathroom and had not gone #2 since the day before ER 3days prior then my chest started hurting and it felt like heartburn which I figured it was because of the constipation. With the meds from the Dr. I finally went number 2.
8171031 tn?1399327634 At nineteen weeks, upper right side could mean anything from kidney issues to gallstones to appendicitis. Your organs are all squished together and compressed because of baby. Lower I would say it's a ligament issue. Good luck hope it's diagnosed soon and nothing too serious!
Avatar f tn Did they check him for gallstones? Pain around the shoulder area and ribs can be a sign of a bad gallbladder.
Avatar n tn You really need to get to the hospital if the pain is too bad to stand. It could be a nasty gallbladder attack, appendicitis, or a bunch of other potentially serious things. If you have a fever and/or lack of an appetite go to the ER ASAP.

Avatar m tn s immediate fever fast acting, I said to this doc, well sure I read could be chronic appendicitis, he said, yeah great theory, he said me telling him mum stated appendicitis is immediate rapd onset, he said no mate your gave a great one there yes your right there is something called chronic appendicitis which can belive it take years or months etc to become serious or critical, and yeah you may be right but i think it's potential gallstones or your less likely chronic appencicitis slow

Avatar m tn Normal BP, elevated cholesterol/triglycerides (but improving), not diabetic. History of asymptomatic gallstones. Was sitting at my desk when had sudden pain noticed first in right ear/jaw. It radiated to mid-chest, right shoulder/back. Had something that felt like mid indigestion. Felt hot. I felt slightly lightheaded but may have been hyperventilating due to pain and anxiety. No nausea, vomiting.
10314769 tn?1409238579 I went to the er on Tuesday and blood work was good and sonogram looked great. Wouldn't they tell me there if they saw something else?
Avatar m tn In early November I had a visit to the ER due to pain on the right side of my abdomen (next to my bellybutton). I had 100.5 degrees temperature and had been nauseous all day. Appendicitis was ruled out via CT Scan. I was sent home with pain meds and told to follow up with my PCP and a colonoscopy was suggested due to thickening in colon. I had the colonoscopy in late December with no remarkable results. I have continued to run a low grade fever - 99.2 - 100.2 ever since.

Avatar f tn I am assuming you mean raincastle, as I had my appendix out in 1987, so they knew it wasn't that.
Avatar f tn Abdominal or back pain on the fight could be from kidney stones, appendicitis, constipation, gallstones, or ovarian cysts/torsion in women (among other less common things). If the pain persists it seems reasonable to see a doctor or an emergency room if over the weekend.
Avatar f tn Not the hottest topic in hep c research, but the association between hcv and gallstones has been around a while. Certainly not everyone with hep c gets gallstones, and though cause and effect has not yet been proven, most hepas nowadays do think there is a link: "Hepatitis C virus infection is a risk factor for gallstone disease: a prospective hospital-based study of patients with chronic viral C hepatitis." Author: Acalovschi, M.;Buzas, C.;Radu, C.;Grigorescu, M., et al.
2176548 tn?1340677817 You make the comment that you are getting "another" ultrasound. Does that mean you have had negative studies previously? One must remember that you are looking for gallbladder disease not just gallstones. The two don't necessarily equate as about 75% of patients with gallstones have no symptoms. The absence of gallstones does not rule out gallbladder disease.
Avatar f tn Is the pain in the upper right quadrant or lower right quandrant? If it's similar to what you felt with your gallbladder, you may still be looking at gallstones. Now, you ask, "Just how can I have gallstones without a gallbladder?!" Simple. Gallstones can form in the bile duct, and they're really more like sand or sludge rather than stones. The gallbladder stores bile and excretes extra when you eat a fatty meal.
338416 tn?1420045702 Today was the first day I felt close to normal. The doctor thinks it might be appendicitis... just what I need! On top of the huge hospital bill for the blood clot, now possibly I'll have to have my appendix taken out. This time I went to the doctor as soon as I could, instead of just assuming that it was nothing. Let's hope that it turns out to be something minor, like gastroenteritis or something.
Avatar n tn I am 29 weeks pregnant and have multiple gallstones. I have had more than 6 biliary colic attacks and my OB is now recommending that I talk to a surgeon about having gallbladder surgery. What are the risks of surgery to the baby and myself ???
Avatar n tn GI issues have been ruled out with the CT scan (appendicitis, pancreatitis, gallstones, obstructions, etc even kidney infections and stones as UA was clear). I wonder if anyone out there knows what else this might be. He is currently on Bentyl and Nexium from the PCP, and has a GI appointment today. I'm just very concerned that the GI doc will not find anything since the 'traditional' GI issues were ruled out.
