Avatar m tn pageindex=1 just in case.) It seemed to point to appendicitis. There was no recurring blue vomit that they knew of after the appendectomy. I would suggest that she see the doctor if she continues to vomit the foam and if she starts having abdominal pains. Hope this helps and I hope she feels better soon.
Avatar m tn I have pain in the right side of my abdomen, near my belly button, it feels like I need to vomit. However I don't. It also hurts when I deep breathe. I have swelling in the abdomen too and its tender to the touch. Any ideas what this could be?
Avatar f tn I'm scared out of my mind that I have appendicitis but also I don't know whether it could be something psychological or a muscle pull. It's in my abdominal area, kind of lower but sometimes goes up and on the right hand side. I've been passing gas a bit which relieves me a bit but the achy pain is still there.
Avatar m tn s immediate fever fast acting, I said to this doc, well sure I read could be chronic appendicitis, he said, yeah great theory, he said me telling him mum stated appendicitis is immediate rapd onset, he said no mate your gave a great one there yes your right there is something called chronic appendicitis which can belive it take years or months etc to become serious or critical, and yeah you may be right but i think it's potential gallstones or your less likely chronic appencicitis slow
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 23 yr old, male. 6ft 205lbs. No previous medical condition. Two days ago I was involved in an altercation where I received a black eye, and tender head. Yesterday I started to notice that my right side was hurting really bad, the area of the pain is exactly 9 inches from the center of my belly button to the right. The size of the area with the pain is about the size of a fist, lol, maybe a little bit larger than that.

Avatar n tn She will ask for a stack of disposable paper napkins and periodically cough/vomit small amounts into them while sitting at the table and eating. Apparently, it doesn't happen often but when it does, there is nothing that can be done to control it. The woman seems to be in her 60s or 70s. What is this condition? I have never heard of anything like it before.
Avatar n tn He will vomit one night a week for three or four weeks straight and then not again for several months. Then he'll vomit three nights in a row...only one time per night.... and then not again for another few months. We thought it may be a food allergy, we noticed that he seemed to do better when not drinking juice, but then he won't have had juice for several months and he'll have another episode. He wakes up two to three hours after going to bed.
Avatar n tn What you describe could be a number of things, including pancreatitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, ... or something else altogether. This set of symptoms doesn't seem to be the type one can afford to ignore. Pls see a doc/urgent care right away. Hope you'll write again to let us know how you're doing.
Avatar m tn It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar n tn When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
Avatar m tn An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis. However, if you are still concerned, you can call your doctor and ask to speak to a nurse.
Avatar f tn now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it? one of my friend got operated last month, she was having the same pain but ultrasound didnt show anything even then she got operated n now is fine!
Avatar f tn Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating? Thoughts?
Avatar m tn At first I figured it might have been something I ate the night before but the pain continued to get worse. During the day I attempted to vomit because I did feel slightly sick. I vomited a little bit of some green liquid that I can't identify as something I had eaten (guessed it was mucous.) I got a ride home after class by another student. After calling my mother to tell her how bad I was feeling, I went and tried to take a nap in hopes that I could just sleep through it.
Avatar f tn According to WebMD diagnosing appendicitis can be tricky: "Symptoms of appendicitis are frequently vague or extremely similar to other ailments, including gallbladder problems, bladder or urinary tract infection, Crohn's disease, gastritis, intestinal infection, and ovary problems. The following tests are usually used to make the diagnosis.
Avatar m tn He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness. Ficolith inside the appendicitis and advised to remove it whenever you feel free but not an emergency. The Gastroenterologist was not convinced and he asked me to take a Contrast enhanced CT. But the local doctor said it is not necessary and i don't have any acute episode and there is no such Chronic appendicitis.
Avatar m tn Hi, this could be ureter stone, right ovarian cyst or appendicitis. If pulse is more than 80 and blood shows high TLC counts, is suggestive of appendicitis. In case of ureter stone, urine usually shows infection and ultrasound is diagnostic, pain is usually radiating in nature. Well colon pain is colicky or dull in nature, do you have recent history of diarrhea?
Avatar m tn The pain was so severe that I had to have someone call 911. Along with the stomach pains, I often vomit profusely. To the point where petechiae show up all over my face (not just around my eyes). I have been told I have 'Reflux' but no more than that. I have looked all around and it doesn't look like that should be the cause of my pains. I'm not certain though and I am anxious to find out. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
Avatar m tn hi im really worried i have appendicitis, i had diarrhea for 3 days, and now after all of that my lower right and lower left sides have a dull, tenderness to them, its not severe pain but im worried it might become severe. the more i think and read abut it the more it hurts. above my belly button hurt when touched as well, i do not have a fever, and i have not been vomiting, but once in a while my stomach feels like there s a dull kick in those three areas.

Avatar n tn I have had my gallbladder removed lapo 2 weeks ago… I’m NOW expercing this sharp pain on my right lower abdominal area by my belly button, what are my chances of having appendicitis after gall bladder surgery? I want to avoid the ER, doctors and GI’s I went through so many test and so many trips to the ER during the period of 3 months to finally find out my gall bladder was only functioning at 1.
Avatar f tn ve searched for my simptoms online. This way I found out about stump appendicitis and I got mortified it could be that. Could the CT scan have missed it? All the other organs seemed fine. Last year, I didn't develop fever or vomiting with my appendicitis, reason why it was hard to diagnose, especially because it was behind my ceccum (for 1 month doctors suspected ovary pain...until my appendix burst). Can this time be stump appendicitis and doctors mistake it for cysts again??
