i am a 22 yr old girl, unmarried, i was having continuous pain for 2 days in my lower abdominal. today morning at 5 i had swear pain i went to the doc, they asked me for blood test, urine test n ultrasound, urine test showed some sign of appendix but ultra sound didnt, they sent me home n gave some pain killers! now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it?

ginger899 is completely right. how could he send you home with just painkillers? it could be many things, so i suggest you go to the nearest ER too!
Last week I suffered from appendicitis and my doctor cured me by administering antibiotics. Now have a relief the inflamation is gone. But from today morning I am suffering pain in the groin area which is similar to the pain I suffered for appendicitis
I wanted to know that is the pain caused by Fungal infection or medicinal reaction which was provided for appendicitis.
I have not experienced similar pain in groin area before and there is no blister or rashes.
if anyone out there has any tips on what will help me get through this cold turkey stop from herion at home treatment it would be greatly appreciated! i have been doing it for 7 months straight every single day and im far away from home at a family members house getting clean..tommorow will be my first full day without it. wish me luck..
I do alot of lifting at work so my first thought was that I pulled an abdominal muscle. The pain is dull and is below the sternum and above the naval. The pain happens most when i'm bending over and laying on my left side.
I walk all day and wear good running/walking shoes but my feet have been hurting lately (balls of foot and heel), also when I first wake up the pain is the worst. Upon waking my fingers hurt in the joints when I bend them....
The pain is NOT so intense that it keeps me up at night but it is intense enough for me to not enjoy anything at all. I really want to go to the emergency room. I am a teen without a license so I can't drive myself. I have begged my parents to bring me for the past couple of days, and my mom says if i really had appendicitis, I would have died by now because it wouldn't have lasted a week.
I am on vacation across the country. I woke up at 2:30 am with bad stomach pain (top middle), bloating, and gas. I went the the ER about 6 hours later and received indigestion meds. I felt much better outside of mild abdominal discomfort from gas still. Now the next day my lower right stomach is pretty tender, nowhere else, just lower right side. Should I be worried about appendicitis? Could it be tender from extreme gas and bloating?

Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
I had something like that done this morning n was cuz of kidney stone surgery but was Lazer they also told me if I didn't have done I could go on previous labor at my 19 wks as whether wait to pass the stones by myself cuz of the pain n medicine
When I had appendecitis I woke up in pain with a lot of abdominal pressure and was admitted for surgery that day. It felt like I was really constipated or something (sorry TMI), and was nauseous. It sounds like the pain you are having is more likely related to the pcos. I have had ovarian cysts in the past and it felt a lot like what you are describing. I'm not an expert, just my personal experience.
Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.
Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ. They were still concerned with the pain in right lower quad so a CT was done-results apendix stone. the surgent wasn,t concerned about that and sent home after 2 days in hospital with normal activity .
-My question here is, if a ultrasound was done at the other er to find that it indeed was appendicitis could it have been caught in time before it ruptured?
4 days after the appendectomy my son had to be rushed back into the OR for obstruction of his bowels.

ve had abdominal pain for a week now and thinking I had appendicitis, went into the emergency room earlier this week, only to have them say I was fine and send me home. The doctor did say I had a "fat" appendix. Anyway, the pain on the right subsided slightly and, starting yesterday, I had the same pain but worse on the left side. Six months back I got pain at Right Lower Abdomen (RIF). The local GP thought Sub acute appendicitis and prescribed antibiotics. My WBC at that time was normal. The pain was intermittent, some times sharp and mild. I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days.
As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain.
