Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis symptoms no fever

appendicitis

Avatar m tn It subsides after a couple of hours and there are no residual symptoms. No fever, etc. only very localized LRQ pain. It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses.
Avatar f tn I am also having same symptoms after kidney stone surgery on jan 13 then appendix removed 22jan I am extremely fatigued no appetite, migraines, diarrhea and some lower right side pain. No fever though.... Why am I still feeling horrible is it because my body has just been through too much within a short period of time? Please help...
Avatar m tn I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. I took an ultrasound of the abdomen and the doctor said no appendicitis. But I pestered him with questions about my symptoms. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.
Avatar m tn 6 days ago I got a fever and felt like I had the flu or a bad cold. The following day it got worse and I also had mild stomach aches. I saw my GP who said to rest as it was probably a viral inflection. Since then the abdominal pain has got worse, but the flu symptoms have gone away. I had diarrhoea on one day but my bowel movements seem to be back to normal now, although it does feel hard to pass gas and I do need to strain to pass a bowel movement.
Avatar f tn i rushed him to the ER, after 3 hours of waiting the doctor ordered some xrays and notified me that my son had walking pneumonia. i asked the doctor how is it that my son has no symptoms of pneumonia and still have a positive xray, he told me it happens. - My question here is can a appendicitis be confused with pneumonia, and can pneumonia cause abdominal pain? After i left this hospital my sons symptoms worsened and i rushed him to a childrens hospital, where is fever had spike to 103.8.
Avatar f tn I would take her to the ER. The symptoms you have described are classic of appendicitis. It begins in the upper area of the abdomen and kind of moves around until it localizes in the lower right abdomen. The fever and dizziness is also indicative of appendicitis. If her abdomen stops hurting all of a sudden, RUSH her to the ER because that is a sign that the inflamed appendix has burst. Please let us know how she is!
Avatar n tn no tenderness in the abdomin when pressed, no elevated WBC, no elevated CRP - all my bloods were normal. They kept me in overnight for observation and for an ultasound scan. The next morning, I still had the pain but an ultrasound wasn't possible due to a huge backlog. I discharged myself. From that day on, I experienced nausea, extreme loss of appetite (I didn't eat for four days) - everything I ate tasted horrible and made me feel sick, as did drinking water.
Avatar f tn t develop fever or vomiting with my appendicitis, reason why it was hard to diagnose, especially because it was behind my ceccum (for 1 month doctors suspected ovary pain...until my appendix burst). Can this time be stump appendicitis and doctors mistake it for cysts again?? I'm scared...
5154898 tn?1374773319 OK, I've been worried sick since about 4 days ago. It all started when i had a muscle spasm beside my belly button (right side), it lasted a whole day. I woke up the next day with a dull pain in the same spot, nothing really painful, just enough to worry me. Now, my lower front (right side), my right side and back on the right side has been aching.
Avatar f tn Monitor your syptoms cause nausea, back pain, pain on right side and bloating r also symptoms of appendicitis. I had appendicitis while i was pregnant so didn't notice the symptoms of appendicitis cause i just thought it was pregnacy symptoms.if pain gets worse or you get fever go to doctor.
Avatar n tn She is not tired during the day, has lots of energy, I would say that at least two to three times a week she has the sudden onset of the abdominal pain and nausea, and will run a low grade fever, but always has insomnia, she rarely sleeps more than 4 hours a night. We have found no results from doctors, the closest thing that they have come to diagnosing is irritable bowel syndrome. I have searched the internet and cannot find anything that matches her symptoms.
Avatar f tn Ok, yes it sounds like it could be. Sometimes they don' catch it on the first shot. But I hope they can figure it out. Let me know how it goes ok?
9497408 tn?1404140019 On the surface, your symptoms sound like appendicitis. Your elevated temp, the referred pain, all points to that. Sometimes ultrasounds do not reveal the true issue - they are not detailed enough. Personally, I experienced appendicitis much like you are experiencing. The "twist" was I had a cyst in my intestine as well. It took surgery to locate the problem(s). No test - and I had them all - revealed the truth. Go to the hospital. They are probably thinking you are drug-seeking.
Avatar f tn Hi, About a month or two ago, I believe I had strained some muscles while working out. The pain didn't happen right away maybe one or two weeks afterwards. At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right.
1323549 tn?1276178147 With fever I doubt she's pregnant, and if she is it's a coincidence with the other symptoms. She may have a virus, bacterial infection or something serious like a gallstones or appendicitis. What do you mean when you say she can "barely see?" Is it from crying? Where exactly is the pain located? When was the last time she ate, and what was it? How long has she been vomiting and is there anything left in her stomach? Any bowel changes?
Avatar n tn Early this week I started having symptoms of what seemed to be a regular cold. Fever, chills, head and body aching in general. It has been four days, the aching has ceased a bit, the fever comes and goes. But what really has me worried is this unusual very intense pain in my lower back towards the right side extending to my hip and surrounding areas. Could it be kidney problems?
Avatar m tn An appendix is usually on the right side of your stomach and you will usually run a high fever with appendicitis. However, if you are still concerned, you can call your doctor and ask to speak to a nurse.
Avatar m tn The pain in appendicitis generally starts around the umbilicus and moves to the lower right quadrant of the abdomen. The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, pelvic infections, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.
Avatar n tn Have you taken him to the doctors or ER? It could be anything as normal as Appendicitis to something far more serious. The symptoms are too vague. But starting somewhere would be helpful. The doctors could rule out appendicitis and go from there.
Avatar f tn Sometimes I do have diarrhea and I go everyday but I am always seeing blood in the stool. I have no fever or anything like that, nor am I having the typical rebound pain or any pain in my right lower stomach. It seems that the pain moves when I change position if that makes sense. Usually when I sit it moves in the lower area of my belly button, and when I lay down it moves to the upper area of my belly button.
Avatar f tn No fever? Probably not appendicitis.
