Not able to recognize because of which problem I am having this type of pain. Is this because cyst, stone or colonical tenderness? Please suggest.
Avatar f tn I had something like that done this morning n was cuz of kidney stone surgery but was Lazer they also told me if I didn't have done I could go on previous labor at my 19 wks as whether wait to pass the stones by myself cuz of the pain n medicine
Avatar n tn Another very possible cause for one sided flank pain is kidney stone. While most kidney stones will pass on their own, Some can be large enough to block the flow of urine from the kidney to the ureter causing something called hudronephrosis. It's probably just best you go get checked out. Feel better soon.
Avatar n tn There are various causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain, including but not limited to appendicitis, IBS/IBD, kidney/ureteral stone, bladder infection, and hernia, as well as female-specific conditions, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, and ectopic pregnancy. Making the correct diagnosis requires a combination of clinical history and physical examination, as well as laboratory and imaging tests.
Avatar n tn I have been getting a severe pain in the my right lower stomach.I have had it three days now an it getting worse.Im not sure if its a kidney stone or if its from weights i've been lifting.:(.Or wat it is..
Avatar n tn The first time I had a kidney stone was just like that. I was lucky and it was obviously a pretty small one and passed very quickly. The second time I wasnt so lucky. Its very possible it was a kidney stone and you were lucky and it passed right away. Did you have any increased urination right before that or a feeling like you had to pee and couldnt? The feeling of nausea with the pain is really what makes me think that is what it probably was.
Avatar f tn Do you have your appendix? When I had similar symptoms I was checked for appendicitis. I didn't have the usual symptoms...nausea, fever, all that other stuff, just pain. I think you should see your doctor again.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you have a right sided abdominal pain due to kidney stones! Do not panic. You will be alright. Kidney stone pain causes such a tremendous pain but will not cause immediate fatality. This often presents as sudden onset right loin or side pain, very severe in intensity (many describes this as the most severe pain they have ever felt), it spreads down the side to the lower right abdomen and groin, cramp like, with associated nausea and vomiting.
Avatar m tn 4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
Avatar f tn He could look up the symptoms of chronic appendicitis, and see if he thinks there is a risk that is what is going on. Or he could go and get checked by a doctor.
Avatar f tn Yes, probably a kidney stone. Did you have any symptoms befor this? The ureter was most probably "scratched" causing inflamation of the ureter. You really need to get to a Nephroligist and have some tests done so this does not happen again. They can do 24 hour urines and what not to see if and why you are making stones. If in fact you are they may have a medication to help you!!
Avatar f tn Is it possible that this could be a kidney stone stuck between my kidney and bladder? It does not hurt when I pee and there is no discoloration. I'm worried because this is close to where i had surgery. Thank you in advance!
Avatar f tn They ran a ct scan looking for appendicitis and found i had a large staghorn (sturvite) kidney stone. Was ok as long as i was on antibiotics but once completed the fever would come back. Was in and out of hospital givin iv antibiotics for 3 mos. Test always negative for infection. Kidney ended up at 8% so they removed the whole kidney. 2 wks later got a call from the hospital to come in pathology found tuberculosis in the kidney!.
Avatar f tn The scan showed a 5mm blockage in my ureter, which they assumed to be a kidney stone. They gave me 4 different Rxs and sent me on my way. Since then, I've had an ultra sound and an XRay done which both show no sign of a kidney stone. However I've still had pain that came and went from my side, down lower, and now feels like it's right at the bottom of my urethra. It has been this way for the past few days and just will not pass.
Avatar n tn There are various possibilities of a right lower abdominal pain radiating to the back. Stone in the kidney or ureter or an ovarian cyst usually presents like this. So also it can be a pain of appendicitis, where the appendix is placed behind the intestine. Ultrasound, CT or MRI of lower abdomen or whole abdomen would have ruled this out. The other possibility you can explore is Irritable bowel syndrome. The walls of intestine go into spasm often and cause sudden excruciating pain.
Avatar n tn Well i can rule out a kidney stone because i don't have any troubles urinating or nausea and i can also rule out an ovarian cyst since that's only in females. I'm just not yet convinced that it's appendicitis because the sharp pain only lasted a few minutes. Maybe even only a minute. The pain was pretty bad when it did happen though. I just don't think it was really anything. I have no other symptoms.
Avatar n tn I am having sharp abdominal pain to the right of my bellybutton. 3 days now. It is worse when I breathe hard, laugh, or bring my right knee towards my belly. I also have some pain pain in my back, opposite the pain on the front. My last menses was on March 23rd and lasted for 4 days. I take BP meds (labatelol) for moderately high BP, I have been diagnosed with PCOS, and was prescribed Victoza for that about 5 months ago. I take a prenatal vitamin every day. I am afraid I have appendicitis.
1821676 tn?1317251820 There could be several things going on. What kind of pain is it? Stabbing, shooting, aching? Is the pain constant? Is it getting worse? You probably need to see your doctor. My 13-year old daughter had similar pain not long ago. She never complains and woke up in terrible pain. I took her to the ER as it was before the doctor's office opened, and I could tell by looking at her that it couldn't wait. At the time, I was thinking maybe it was her appendix.
1003498 tn?1263919526 well i would have thought about appendicitis except that i have had a scare with appendicitis and it turned out to be a kidney stone but it was low right side pain. this pain i have been experiencing lately is all over it goes from around my ovaries and female organs to right below my belly button where my intestines are. the first few days i thought it was female pain as i have had many cysts on my ovaries. it felt like i was on my period kinda but worse.
Avatar f tn I am new to kidney stones. I passed my first kidney stone about 2 months ago and I know I have two more. A 2mm on one side and a 4 on the other side. The first one I had happened at night, so I woke up in pain. I am just wondering is there symptoms you can feel when you are awake. Just 4 days ago, I had 4 very sharp pains in the right side my back over a 2 hour period. Today I am hit with a wave of nausea.
Avatar f tn Hello there, Thank you for your information. I am not getting better and was just diagnosed with a kidney stone. Still on. Pain killer meds and the stone does not wanna leave. It has been 5 days since my first attack. Biopsy came back negative which really puts me at even more misery because the pain in my ovaries unables me to walk. When I walk , they hurt. Also I have this vaginal discharge since over a year that is of yellowish/greenish color and no smell. Occasional burning .
Avatar f tn I was thinking at first it may be a kidney stone, but when you said you could sit up, stand, and drive okay, I don't believe that's the case since usually it hurts so excruciatingly that there is no comfortable position.
1036535 tn?1278502599 I went to the ER Tuesday thinking I had a kidney stone stuck, with a possible kidney infection. I have a headache that won't go away and haven't been peeing much. I have pain off and on in my lower right abdomen. These are the same sx I had years ago when I had to have an 8 mm stone removed. My CT scan only showed small kidney stones still in the kidneys, and a cyst on the kidney I've had for a long time. My lipase was elevated. So they dx'd me w/ pancreatitis.
Avatar n tn Blood work checked- Mono and crp slightly evalated ( not enough for them to say appendicitis). they gave a popsicle to him that caused him to have increased painin RLQ. They were still concerned with the pain in right lower quad so a CT was done-results apendix stone. the surgent wasn,t concerned about that and sent home after 2 days in hospital with normal activity .
Avatar m tn mm just wildly guessing here.. well i'll be gross two that'll make 2 of us (ha) any blood in the stool? Usually around that area you're totally right.. that would signal appendix..which would be dull or sometimes severe pain..
Avatar m tn With the pains and symptoms you are describing, you have a severe kidney infection and possibly kidney stones. You need to be medically examined as soon as possible and given an antibiiotic. As you have had the pains on the right, it appears that it is your right kidney that is not well, the stomach pains, could be renal colic.
