We are starting treatment in January, but today he came home and was in pain. Is this normal? and any suggestions on diet. His dr said we could start treating with diet and exercise. we have been getting ideas from internet on what he can and shouldn't eat. but any other suggetions would be appreciated.

today morning at 5 i had swear pain i went to the doc, they asked me for blood test, urine test n ultrasound, urine test showed some sign of appendix but ultra sound didnt, they sent me home n gave some pain killers! now i am developing the same pain again after about 20 hours, so i want to ask can it be appendicitis even if ultrasound doesnt show it?
Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.
ginger899 is completely right. how could he send you home with just painkillers? it could be many things, so i suggest you go to the nearest ER too!

I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
It has general symptoms with the fever and nausea and pain..and then goes away without treatment...Does it get worse when she lays flat? Occur at only bedtime or at night? Any sweats with it? dizziness? Bowel movement changes? If it occurs during the day as well, it could be a food allergy with "leaky gut" syndrome...This can cause poor vitamin b absorption and lead to other problems...With appendicitis she would want to lay very still and with a leg drawn up...
I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
He was hospitalized for two days, got home last night. His kidneys were failing they don't know why. No infections. His creatnine is still high 168 and normal is around 80. The proteine from his urine is gone. His was on IV as he was dehydrated. We are still waiting for the results for auto imune deaseses.
Last week I suffered from appendicitis and my doctor cured me by administering antibiotics. Now have a relief the inflamation is gone. But from today morning I am suffering pain in the groin area which is similar to the pain I suffered for appendicitis

This past Sunday, I was sent home from the ER with a diagnosis of early appendicitis. I'd been suffering from a fever, lower/midline abdominal pain on my right side, and severe diarrhea for several days, and was told by my doctor to go to the ER to rule out appendicitis. Besides my signs/symptoms, the only abnormal finding was a slightly enlarged appendix in the ultrasound and CT.
The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. It may not be picked up by imaging modalities. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections. It could also be due to diverticulitis, Chron's disease, ulcerative colitis and parasitic infections.
