appendicitis

Avatar m tn The symptoms you described could sometimes be due to appendicitis, that’s when you have pain on the right side just above the pelvis and you may also have referred pain around the umbilicus (belly button). The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infection, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections like. Stool analysis, urine analysis and imaging studies may help diagnose these conditions.

Avatar n tn hi i recently had my gall bladder taken out and got immediate relief for about 1 month of symptoms but now i have pain in my upper left side radiating down to my left side and i have indegestion and some nausea again. it is almost like my gall bladder was never taken out. i had the light ran down my throat and into my stomach at the time of surgery with no ulcers or sign of any problems. what could this be now? what is the sign of appendicits?
Avatar n tn You can live without your gall bladder. But letting it go undetected can lead to an infection of the gall bladder or pancreatitis which could derail the normal functioning of the pancreas and induce diabetes or worse pancreatic cancer. The surgery is minimally evasive as they use robotics via a few small incisions versus a large open incision.
Avatar n tn I saw the doc who checked for appendicitis. I also had had a fatty meal earlier that day. Assuming a gall bladder problem, I decided to avoid fats. Took several days for the nausea to go away. Generalized sensation of heat across the my abdomen occured a few times. Trying especially oily things brings a mild version on again. But on top of it, my Hemacult just came back showing some blood in the stool -- in two of the six windows. I've also felt somewhat constipated ever since.

Avatar m tn Hello~I think for peace of mind and given the symptoms you mentioned, I would see your GP, some of the issues you described sound gall bladder related or even GERD which can be caused by a Hiatal Hernia. It probably isn't serious, but it is always better to err on the side of safety.

Avatar f tn gallbladder, non-acute appendicitis, reflux(esp.most recent symptoms) but do NOT forget that not all heart disease presents on the left esp. in women. Continual pain is something you cannot ignore-cardiac ischemia, gallbladder disease, and reflux need to be ruled out. And just because what you consumed gave you pain does not mean that 2 separate processes are not going on. good luck.

Avatar n tn My doctor is thinking it could be endometriosis since they have ruled out appendicitis and gall bladder with CT scans and blood work, and since I have a history of extreme pain when on my periods. I don't know if this pain could be related to endometriosis or these lymph nodes in my lower right abdomen. My doctor said I need to wait one year from my first CT scan to see if they are growing or not. Can anyone give me any advise? Thanks!
