appendicitis

Avatar f tn Some women have symptoms that come and go. I had early symptoms that went away and then reared their heads again between 9 and 12 weeks.
Avatar n tn So nervous about symptoms disappearing. I'm 7 weeks 4 days. I had lots of symptoms early on but not so much anymore. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 3 days and baby's heart rate was 121 and measuring 6 weeks 2 days. I'm a first time mommy after years of trying and 2 failed ivf cycles. Any advice would help is thus normal?
Avatar m tn Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.
Avatar f tn ) the entire attack-episodes now can appear and disappear in as little as 3 minutes but they also can appear and disappear in as long as 10-15 minutes. *Movement is the trigger for an attack/episode. I could be sitting, go to readjust how I'm sitting and BAM here we go! Bending forwards also seems to trigger them.
872871 tn?1239861015 On occasion it just takes time for all the symptoms to reveal them-self so a diagnosis can be made, other times the symptoms disappear and we never have the answer. I suggest if you become worse or develop more symptoms than return to your PCP asap. If you are not better in a week than I suggest you return to your PCP or seek a second opinion. Sometimes a new set of eyes can see something the first set missed. Good luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing.
Avatar m tn I never took the antibiotics. The next day the local GP said no appendicitis. After 15 days still the symptoms continued occasionally and a went to a Gastroenterologist who advised to take Taxim-O an antibiotic. I took it for 5 days. I took an ultrasound of the abdomen and the doctor said no appendicitis. But I pestered him with questions about my symptoms. He then took a screening CT in the lab and gave the report as Chronic appendicitis with 7mm thickness.
Avatar n tn I also had a cyst that was about 2cm and it was during the middle of my cycle and that said the lining was slightly thickened. The symptoms of achiness subsided so I did not return for another ultrasound. Now, over the past two months, I have had a lot of discomfot in my right side near my ovary, near my belly button and lower back. At times my abdomen seems to be bloated and then goes down. I am terrified this may be cancer.
Avatar f tn I have all if the appendicitis symptoms ( bloating, diarrhea, constipation, severe abdominal pain followed by vomiting) but aren't these all pregnancy things to? I'm 41/2 weeks.
Avatar f tn According to WebMD diagnosing appendicitis can be tricky: "Symptoms of appendicitis are frequently vague or extremely similar to other ailments, including gallbladder problems, bladder or urinary tract infection, Crohn's disease, gastritis, intestinal infection, and ovary problems. The following tests are usually used to make the diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
Avatar m tn There is no test to prove chronic appendicitis. Some of the symptoms are lower right quadrant pain, sometimes it's sharp, sometimes it dull, bloating mucus in stool, pain with or after intercourse, trapped gas or stool in the appendix area will double you over. WBC's will be somewhere from 9-11, not high enough to indicate an acute form of appendicitis but a chronic form of it.
Avatar f tn Monitor your syptoms cause nausea, back pain, pain on right side and bloating r also symptoms of appendicitis. I had appendicitis while i was pregnant so didn't notice the symptoms of appendicitis cause i just thought it was pregnacy symptoms.if pain gets worse or you get fever go to doctor.
Avatar f tn I've had an appendectomy 8 months ago, but simptoms came back a month ago: pain in the right of my belly, which migrated in the LRQ after about 2 weeks, bloating, pain in the right side during bowel movements, right leg gets a little numb sometimes. Did a CT scan 1 month ago, it revealed an ovarian cyst of 3.5 cm on my right and a 5 cm one on my left. The pain on my right is persistent and the symptoms are really bad for such a small cyst.
230972 tn?1224470126 * Appendicitis - when the appendix become inflamed you may have appendicitis. This condition is most often characterized by nausea, vomiting, fever and worsening pain. You may also have little appetite. Typically this pain is felt higher in the abdomen then the pain associated with the round ligament. * Ovarian Cysts - The ovaries sometimes contain cysts that may be painful. At other times an ovary may twist, causing severe abdominal pain.
Avatar m tn I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8. What really has me concerned though is that my blood sed rate came back at 32mm/h which is high.
Avatar n tn Hello! I have joined this community in the hope that someone can help me! I am a female, 25 years old and I have been suffering from abdominal pain for years. The pain is usually in the right side, mid-way between my bellybutton and my hip. At times the pain is sharp and stabbing and causes me to double over in pain - I would give it a 7 out of 10 for intensity. Other times the pain on my right side is dull and aching, and sometimes this is replaced with a burning sensation.
Avatar n tn //www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/appendicitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20369543. This does not really sound like that issue though. How are you now?
Avatar f tn I always figured that the symptoms would appear and then the problem would occur, but I have been having these symptoms for a little less than a month, really. The thing is though I'm not sure if my symptoms are enough to match up with an appendicitis.. and it could be other things, maybe. Less severe problems. Anyway, I wanted to put this out there. It's not just the threat of an actual, serious problem, but also the discomfort. Just hope this isn't anything serious.
