Avatar f tn 3 range) i have noticed that the pain is also in my right arm and right side of my neck..what could be the cause of this pain and how do i treat it??
Avatar n tn I have been plagued with upper, right, abdominal pain since January 7th. I have undergone several tests, MRI of the lumbar spince, chest and abdominal CT scans with and without contrast, colonoscopy, endoscopy to rule out the obvious...kidney stones, appendicitis, gastro issues, and my gall bladder was removed 2 years ago. CT scans did reveal several small kidney stones...a few in each kidney. I can't help but think that the issue is kidney related.
Avatar m tn It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
Avatar m tn I have this pain in the lower right region of my abdomen, Its not a pain in which I cannot walk but there is a pain there. I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8.
Avatar f tn I will take to my grave the memory of a 48 year old man who had multiple bouts of right upper quadrant pain that followed meals over a nine month period. A pretty obvious gallbladder history. I met him when he showed up in the ER with necrotizing pancreatitis due to passage of a gallstone. Despite everyone's best efforts he was dead 6 hours after his arrival in the ER leaving two teenage daughters and a widow to raise them. Maybe he hated doctors also.
Avatar n tn My question is. I get pains in the upper left quadrant of my abdomen. I have contact nausea and slight unsteadiness. I have had a CT of my head and a ECG of my heart to rule out anything extremely serious. At times the nausea gets soo bad i feel like i may faint. Also the pains in my abdomen seem to get worse when i eat or after a night out drinking.
Avatar m tn Those conditions improved when i ate properly the pain in the upper pain is also gone now but the pain in my lower right abdomen now has become a sharp stabbing pain. It is a recurring pain that fluctuates from mild to that sharp pain and it goes along with the movement of my digestive from left to right. Is this peptic ulcer that complicated into appendicitis?or still peptic ulcer?
Avatar f tn At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right. Recently I had diarrhea for three days straight and then feeling constipated.
Avatar n tn Besides the liver, the pancreas stretches from the right upper to left upper quadrant and the pain is usually felt deep as your describing. Ask your Dr. to check for pancreatitis. Stomach issues also cause URQ pain such as Gastritis, Peptic Ulcers, and Gastroenteritis. Ask for an H-Pilory breath test to rule that out. Are there any other symptoms other than pain? Do you experience nausea ? Does it get worse with eating? A little more description will help rule out things.
727090 tn?1268839348 I would swell in the belly and not want to eat. Had alot of upper right abdomen pain and i have no gallbladder so the dr. checked my liver and pancreas by doing bloodwork. At this time from April to June i lost a total of 12 pounds. Then just a week or so after 4th of July I ran to the er again cause i could get an available dr., for more upper pain. It felt like i was litterally kicked in the gut. He did blood work for liver and normal then sent me home with pepcid.
Avatar m tn Lower right abdominal pain along with a tight, bloated abdomen is a symptom of appendicitis. Please go see your doctor as soon as possible!
Avatar f tn Pain on the right side of the stomach could be appendicitis. But if you've had the pain for a week, you'd probably be very sick by now so it's probably not that. Either way, I highly suggest seeing a doctor asap! don't be in pain any longer!
Avatar f tn I am 30 weeks along and 8 wreks ago I got a terrible pain in my upper righy side right below my ribs I thought it was the baby as well until I let it go till I wasnt even able to walk. Avatar n tn There are various causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain, including but not limited to appendicitis, IBS/IBD, kidney/ureteral stone, bladder infection, and hernia, as well as female-specific conditions, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, and ectopic pregnancy. Making the correct diagnosis requires a combination of clinical history and physical examination, as well as laboratory and imaging tests.
Avatar n tn I also get pains on the other side in the same place. Along with the upper right quadrant under my rib cage i get intense pain for a few seconds. My legs will go numb somethings, but not a numb that i cant feel, almost in a painful way, that has happened since i was a little kid. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn I have a throbbing pain that comes and goes on my right side at the waistline. It just started about an hour ago but since it's quite sharp and I've never had it before, it's a little alarming. I'm thinking appendicitis, but I may be jumping to conclusions.
Avatar m tn Abdominal pain can be very hard to diagnose, but I'd ask about upper and lower endoscopy. Maybe the upper needs to be push enteroscopy to check below your stomach, if your insurance would go along with it.
