I have this pain in the lower right region of my abdomen, Its not a pain in which I cannot walk but there is a pain there. I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8.
Lower right abdominal pain along with a tight, bloated abdomen is a symptom of appendicitis. Please go see your doctor as soon as possible!
A year or so later I was given a capsule endoscopy and they thought they saw something in the photos it took so I was referred to a doctor to do a double balloon enteroscopy retrograde. Unfortunately this too came back normal and afterwards I had moderate lower right side abdominal pain.
There are various causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain, including but not limited to appendicitis, IBS/IBD, kidney/ureteral stone, bladder infection, and hernia, as well as female-specific conditions, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, and ectopic pregnancy. Making the correct diagnosis requires a combination of clinical history and physical examination, as well as laboratory and imaging tests.
I went to the ER several months ago for severe pain in my lower right abdomen, along with uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. When in the ER, they did a pelvic exam to rule out PID, and were going to do an ultrasound to rule out appendicitis but decided not to when my bloodwork came back and my white blood cell count was only slightly elevated.
Right side can be appendicitis. They need to check this again.
I had chronic appendicitis with my daughter.. paid started just before I conceived. Kept getting worse and worse and no one was believing me except my obe, who kept sending me to gastro doctors who told me there was nothing wrong and to come back after the baby was born (in 6 months). Finally the pain was so bad my obe admitted me to the hospital.
This morning I woke up with a pain in my lower right abdomen. Its a constant dull pain, about a 4 or 5 on the 1-10 scale. The main pain is about directly 2-3inches to the left of my ASIS. It feels a little bit better when I'm sitting up instead of laying down. I have been going to the bathroom alot more than normal, but the stool is pretty normal, not diarhea.
and all of a sudden I have this SHARP pain on my right side. Right/diagonally above my hip. Im 12 weeks pregnant with twins. I have tried moving my body pillow and blankets to position myself more comfortably... but can still feel it. Pain at first was a 6/7 (small pain1-10being horrible ).. now positioned its at a 2 then a 6/7 again. Kinda like off and on...
Should I be worried?
I started to have massive pain on my right side and it is just getting worse. I'm currently on amoxicillin for a uti and I'm extremely tired. Could I be having an appendicitis?
Went off Pentasa for a few days in Dec and had severe RLQ pain and right hand pain. Got better after a week back on Pentasa. Had another colonoscopy-essentially negative in late Jan. I continue to have burning pain in my rectum and RLQ and right hand, general fatigue. Stress makes it worse. Do I have crohn's, lupus, what????
4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
It is worse when I breathe hard, laugh, or bring my right knee towards my belly. I also have some pain pain in my back, opposite the pain on the front. My last menses was on March 23rd and lasted for 4 days. I take BP meds (labatelol) for moderately high BP, I have been diagnosed with PCOS, and was prescribed Victoza for that about 5 months ago. I take a prenatal vitamin every day. I am afraid I have appendicitis.
It is not a sharp or severe pain, just a dull ache very low on my right side just above my groin - near bikini line. There is no pain when pressing just a consistant ache. I took pepto because i was feeling bloated but it didn't really help. Normal bowel movements, no fever, no nausea no vomiting. I feel pressure in the area - not a painful pressure but sort of like something is pushing. When I push on the right side of my stomach i feel a swooshing almost like water.
Right side pain can sometimes indicate appendicitis. When the doc released the pressure, did you have pain then, called "rebound pain". Are you nauseous? Running a fever? If it continues, I would see another doctor and ask for more tests, one being a white blood count, it is better to be safe than sorry.
By "appendix pain", do you mean pain in your lower right hand quadrant? There is such a thing as chronic appendicitis, but this is rare.
You should seek medical help as soon as possible.
The two symptoms may be connected. The "migraine headache" may in fact be that you have a fever.
Lower side abdomen pain may be appendicitis, or a viral or bacterial infection of the lymph gland in that area. Lymph glands that are inflamed in the abdomen can mimic appendicitis. Swollen lymph glands in the abdomen is called Mesenteric Adenitis.
Last night I started having a dull pain on the right side of my abdomen, across from my belly button, it went away today but came back around lunch time. It went away again and now at 2am it has come back. I pressed on my stomach a bit and it send a shooting pain through my belly button area. Its not SUPER painful, just more of a discomfort. I've also started urinating WAY more in the past hour and I'm not sure if its related but my knees began aching REALLY bad out of nowhere.
At this point I was still feeling a little constipated, my right side was still feeling a dull pain (though it felt deeper now if that makes sense). I believe it's important to state that this pain never moved during all this time. Though when I was constipated it made it even less pleasant and made my stomach hurt if I had a carbonated drink or anything that would create extra pressure. My doctor once again gave me tests (blood, urine) and they came out normal.
It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
