appendicitis

Avatar m tn Also had a small fever at one time giving me chills in the night but after that it was gone
Avatar f tn m surprised your doctor just gave you drugs for an appendicitis-- true appendicitis almost always needs surgery. Have you had your appendix looked at since then? Ask for an ultrasound or a colonoscopy. In some really rare cases, an infected appendix can lead to infection elsewhere in your abdomen/pelvis, including muscles outside your digestive tract (which might explain the pain when running).
Avatar n tn What you describe could be a number of things, including pancreatitis, appendicitis, diverticulitis, ... or something else altogether. This set of symptoms doesn't seem to be the type one can afford to ignore. Pls see a doc/urgent care right away. Hope you'll write again to let us know how you're doing.
Avatar f tn We followed with additional blood work to rule out colitis, ulcer, crones, etc., and tried some Nexium. 1 week later, her pain moved about 3 inches to the right and down an inch. Looks like appendicitis to me. Dr sent us for another sonogram. Nothing. This past week we were back in the ER as her pain was severe - we tried a different ER. More blood work, and a CT scan. Everything was normal. She is now upstairs crying in pain - she says it's just about a 10 on a scale of 1-10.
Avatar n tn The pain could be due to gas, kidney stones, muscle pull, gall bladder stones, liver infection, constipation, appendicitis or due to start of shingles. Duodenal ulcer, IBS, Crohn’s disease and colitis are the other possibilities. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage without examining you. Also since you otherwise feel fine it could be gas or muscle pull. Still on net a confirmed diagnosis is not possible. Do consult your doctor. Take care!
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
Avatar f tn Do I have appendicitis?? Or is this just a stomach bug?? How long does it take for the pain to move from the upper stomach to the lower right abdomen??
Avatar f tn Early appendicitis too behaves this way and so does peptic ulcer. It could also be cystitis, urinary tract infection, diverticulitis or inflammatory bowel disease. It can also be a fistula between umbilicus and urinary bladder. You need to consult a surgeon for this. Please seek another opinion. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn t develop fever or vomiting with my appendicitis, reason why it was hard to diagnose, especially because it was behind my ceccum (for 1 month doctors suspected ovary pain...until my appendix burst). Can this time be stump appendicitis and doctors mistake it for cysts again?? I'm scared...
Avatar f tn I should be on 75 mg Voltaren bid w/40 mg Protonix for 3 months. I also have Norco 10/325 to use before PT or as needed. I have good range of motion, can walk unassisted, etc, but still have a lot of swelling, stiffness and pain related to that. (I also have Baker's Cyst behind that knee). I went off all the meds when symptoms started, but need to return to work and can't elevate and ice. Do I have any other options?
Avatar n tn It could also be a periumbilical hernia that has got trapped resulting in small bowel obstruction or mesenteric ischemia. Early appendicitis too behaves this way and so does peptic ulcer. It could also be cystitis, urinary tract infection, diverticulitis or inflammatory bowel disease. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. A CT scan or an ultrasound can tell for sure what the swelling is. Maybe you can seek another opinion.
Avatar f tn So my question is, is this appendicitis, or is this endometriosis? My anxiety is out of control. Could appendicitis take this long to develop? I am on Loestrin 24 (birth control) and my fever has gone away. The pain and nausea comes and goes. I've been going through this for about a year now. Please help me.
Avatar f tn Many years later, I was diagnosed with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Did they rule out appendicitis? Have they checked for any gallbladder or duct issues? When I was in nursing school, they told us that green stool indicated too much sugar in the diet. Don't know if that could be the issue with your son or not. I think I remember once I had bright green feces from drinking gatorade.
Avatar f tn It is important that we judge things properly, or discern. If a person with appendicitis is diagnosed as having an ulcer, it may seem a mere matter of terminology, but if judged improperly, treatment could lead to death! If a baby has a fever, you wouldn't put it in the freezer to cool it down. Treating the symptom may make the problem worse!
Avatar f tn 9 in the past 4 months be indicative of an environmental factor rather then cancer? Or is it going to almost always signify cancer at this point; 9.9?
671285 tn?1292660161 Are my symptoms classinc signs of IBS? Stress? Or am I having appendicitis? I am scare though. The doctor cannot see me until next week. Dont know what to do. Feel sick.
895856 tn?1241595448 If the pain is actually in your stomach than it could be related to an Ulcer, GERD, Hiatal Hernia or Gastritis, again just to name a few. The abdominal cavity contains many of our vital organs and without a good clinical exam and possibly some additional testing it can be difficult to diagnosis. In my opinion if your pain is sudden and acute you should seek an immediate medical evaluation. If it is more chronic than it is still time to make an appointment with your PCP.
Avatar n tn m not vomiting now but the pain is so bad and it even hurts to breathe in or cough or move...is this appendicitis or something serious..?? It didn't start around my naval it started in my sides/flank area and more intesified right side of abdominal area...
