Does it make sense to have classic appendicitis symptoms that go completely away for a few days at a time over a 3 month course? What has prompted my question is that I had two episodes yesterday, one in the morning and a very severe bout in the evening. I keep thinking this will just go away especially when I'm pain free and I forget about it.

Honestly, in my opinion, babies are so wrapped up in this new world, all the new things going in for them, that a little cold (virus) hardly slows them down. it could be your baby is behind because she doesn't feel well all the time, and THAT is holding her back. I have all if the appendicitis symptoms ( bloating, diarrhea, constipation, severe abdominal pain followed by vomiting) but aren't these all pregnancy things to? I'm 41/2 weeks.

I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. Appendicitis does not spread in families or acquired congenitally.But if your family has got a problem of allergies,like esinophilia,it may run in families and finally lead to esinophilic appendicitis,which is a rare condition. Considering you have normal history from background,I do not think that yu are prone for acquiring appendicitis.Talk to your Doctor if you have any strange symptoms of abdomen or any other and get evaluated.

Did you ever find a doctor in Michigan that believed in chronic appendicitis and removed your appendix? Did you find relief after. Your symptoms and tests to diagnose are identical to my 13 yr old daughter's.... and we have a history of chronic appendicitis in my family. My middle daughter, my sister and my grandson all suffered for 1 year minimum before it went acute and they had it removed. After, they were symptom free.
