Appendicitis and right leg pain

Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis and right leg pain

appendicitis

Avatar f tn I slept like around midnight, and since then I have been waking up a few times with the pain still there. My right leg started hurting but the pain is not that severe, and my right lower back is also in pain. I woke up at 7 a.m this morning and the pain is still there. I do not feel like vomiting or nauseous, and neither have I lost my appetite. I have been with this pain for about 10 hours now, would I happen to be presenting signs of appendicitis?
Avatar f tn .... I just realized I said "shooting pain down my right leg," I did mean left. I'm experiencing shooting pain down my *left leg. Sorry about that...
Avatar n tn It causes pain to go down your leg, and pain between your ovary area and navel. I have never heard of anyone having sciatica pain with colon cancer, I think this was more of a coincidence with the lady you speak of. A blood test would tell your doctor if this is appendicitis. I have seen cases where it lasts quite awhile before becoming really inflammed. With you having back pain and pain down your leg, you may have a herniated disc. I have sciatica and that's what caused mine.
Avatar n tn Right quadrant pain to the right of the belly button. Dull pain for couple days, little stronger now.
Avatar f tn Did a CT scan 1 month ago, it revealed an ovarian cyst of 3.5 cm on my right and a 5 cm one on my left. The pain on my right is persistent and the symptoms are really bad for such a small cyst. My gynecologist didn't give me many explanations, so I've searched for my simptoms online. This way I found out about stump appendicitis and I got mortified it could be that. Could the CT scan have missed it? All the other organs seemed fine.
Avatar f tn Lower abdominal (slightly above my right leg/below my belly button. Only on my right side.) Pain how to releave it and sleep comfortably.
Avatar f tn Today the pain is still there, stabbing, and I just tried to get up and suddenly i started having a throbbing pain in my right leg, esp around the ankle, and couldn't stand. maybe the leg pain is from being in bed too much? im not sure. I just am so tired of being sick and in pain all of the time. I would appreciate any idea of what might be wrong with me. please help!
Avatar m tn It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
Avatar m tn I have this pain in the lower right region of my abdomen, Its not a pain in which I cannot walk but there is a pain there. I went to get blood work done because my cousin which is a Doctor wanted to rule out an appendicitis. The WBC count came back at 10.1 where the normal range for that laboratory I believe was from 5 to 10. My cousin said that is not significant enough to point towards appendicitis. My lymphocte percentage was low at 20.3 percent, and my mean platelet volume was also low 6.8.

Avatar m tn 4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
Avatar m tn Hi, this could be ureter stone, right ovarian cyst or appendicitis. If pulse is more than 80 and blood shows high TLC counts, is suggestive of appendicitis. In case of ureter stone, urine usually shows infection and ultrasound is diagnostic, pain is usually radiating in nature. Well colon pain is colicky or dull in nature, do you have recent history of diarrhea?

Avatar m tn Lower right abdominal pain along with a tight, bloated abdomen is a symptom of appendicitis. Please go see your doctor as soon as possible!
Avatar f tn 1 week later, her pain moved about 3 inches to the right and down an inch. Looks like appendicitis to me. Dr sent us for another sonogram. Nothing. This past week we were back in the ER as her pain was severe - we tried a different ER. More blood work, and a CT scan. Everything was normal. She is now upstairs crying in pain - she says it's just about a 10 on a scale of 1-10. I think it's appendicitis - any thoughts? Any other ideas? Please hurry.
Avatar m tn A year or so later I was given a capsule endoscopy and they thought they saw something in the photos it took so I was referred to a doctor to do a double balloon enteroscopy retrograde. Unfortunately this too came back normal and afterwards I had moderate lower right side abdominal pain.
Avatar f tn Could it still be appendicitis? I have almost no pain, just a little pressure on the right side. I’m just worried of an appendix rupture.
Avatar n tn There are various causes of right lower quadrant abdominal pain, including but not limited to appendicitis, IBS/IBD, kidney/ureteral stone, bladder infection, and hernia, as well as female-specific conditions, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, ovarian cyst, ovarian torsion, and ectopic pregnancy. Making the correct diagnosis requires a combination of clinical history and physical examination, as well as laboratory and imaging tests.

Avatar n tn I have a throbbing pain that comes and goes on my right side at the waistline. It just started about an hour ago but since it's quite sharp and I've never had it before, it's a little alarming. I'm thinking appendicitis, but I may be jumping to conclusions.

552053 tn?1273331741 My ex husband had the same thing that would come and go for a couple of years and then it became a constant pain that started to intensify. He finally gave up and went to the ER and was diagnosed with appendicitis - his appendix actually ended up bursting as they were removing it. Before that happened, I had no idea you could have what is considered "chronic" appendicitis, but his doctors said yes, it's actually more common than you would think.
Avatar f tn At first it stemmed from my neck, shoulders, and upper back. Soon after I started to feel pain in my chest, both sides right by my armpits, lower back, and abdomen area especially on my right side. The pain is usually sharp. When I do sit for a long period of time, both my right and left sides hurt but more on my right. Recently I had diarrhea for three days straight and then feeling constipated.
Avatar f tn This morning I woke up with a pain in my lower right abdomen. Its a constant dull pain, about a 4 or 5 on the 1-10 scale. The main pain is about directly 2-3inches to the left of my ASIS. It feels a little bit better when I'm sitting up instead of laying down. I have been going to the bathroom alot more than normal, but the stool is pretty normal, not diarhea.
Avatar n tn Sometimes it spreads across to left side as well, but usually it is localized on right side. Sometimes it shoots up and down my leg.
